Basics
Can you do that learn from others mistakes thing? Playing hackysack i developed a very strong right inside kick. This lead me to right inside and toe stalls a right side mirage and around the worlds and eventually a right foot clipper. So my early strings went ATW(in)>mirage)ATW(out)>mirage>clipper>mirage>ATW in etc
What i should have been doing is using my left foot aswell. No matter what moves you first hit spend some time schooling them on your bad foot.

haha, that made me laugh. I have hit like 2 illusions and that's it. Shit, I'm not even at the level where I can school my basics. Clipset Mirage is like a wet dream for me at the mo...Ashleygrlshreder wrote:the basics are things like stalls, atws, legovers, pickups, clippers. butterfly, clipset mirrage. things like that.
My butterflies are laughable and I barely land pickups 30% of the time...
*sigh*
At least I got some of them down...

Even the best players still have heaps of stuff to learn. I doubt you could ever get to a stage in footbag where there was nothing left to do!
When I was starting I didn't really know about tiltless/guiltless whatever - so I would drill my basics without doing combos a lot. Even these days I do that - for example I'll do a drill like this - toe barrage>op toe repeat. it's pretty boring but it means you can just focus on getting the technique right on that one move until it feels really easy and consistant before you work on linking it. I also think I'd get more out of that - than out of trying a guiltless toe barrage drill - because this way I can hit a lot more toe barrages before dropping it and I can really focus on technique - so not every toe barrage that I hit is good - even though it might be clean - but I can work on it until I get it as close to my idea of perfect for that move as I can.
