CANADA FOOTBAG
Okay, so I'm sure the guys over at footbag.ca are really nice and all, but it would be so nice to see a website representing CANADIAN FREESTYLE!!! I am inspired by Adam Dexter's online involvement with the brantford and whole of Ontario footbag scene. All of us Canadians should pool our resources and start a rad Canadian shredsite! What do you think?
...Just and idea...

i think if we try to squeeze any more FREE web sites out of dex he'll burst....but seriously if that were to happen, i think everyone (club, province, territory) needs to have their shit together before it even started. thats just my opinion. I dunno, what do you think Dex?

Maybe we could talk to the guys at footbag.ca and ask if they would host a subsite for actual freestylers (like freestyle.footbag.ca -- I think they also own http://www.footbagcanada.ca or something...I think they have a bunch of domains...I may be thinking of another site, though...). They may not like that in the end though if we badmouth their "freestyle" bags or something. Maybe someone with some $$$ could fund the hosting -- it really isn't that much...mind you I think Hackrifice is on my mom's credit card and I don't know if I've even been paying her... @____@
Let's see.
We have Victoria with Allan's crew, Jon Zaleski in Kelowna, the Edmonton crew, Byrin and...is Chris May in Canada? I have been confused about that...former Shred Zero (Rob wants to start playing again some time), Saskatoon Hotsteppers, Winnipeg Hackrifice, Brantford, Toronto and the rest of Ontario, Montreal with Le Resistance and some guys in the maritimes?
I think in order of numbers it's probably Ontario, Quebec, BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia?...

Ugh
Im down with the idea. I can do it. What I will be doing though is scrapping footbag ontario and .hack//bfa websites respectively. If I make another site, for footbag canada, its got to be huge. It would have to have distinct differences from the current footbag canada website. It would have to be fully accessable for profiles, clubs and a different section for each province and territory.
I would also need a member from each province and territory to moderate that particular section of the site, a freedom which I am very hesitant to give out on my websites (Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice... you wont fool me twice.) Etc etc.
I am more then willing to put 110% into this, like I do with all of my sites, but I asked for help with footbagontario and I got next to no response. I wouldn't do this without ample planning and consideration from ALL Canadian shreders.
About hosting, that isn't even an issue. I have that basis covered to the 9's. (3$ a month for unlimited EVERYTHING).
Hit me back with some responses.

P.S. I think what I am getting at here is, lets hypothetically say that someone from the IFPA sees footbag Canada, and comes to me and says, "Hey, do you want to design a site for WORLD FOOTBAG??".
I would absolutely trip. Thats why we need a solid foundation, somthing that can not be up and left when something better or bigger comes along.

Hey pay attention -- there's a SCENE in Toronto
I'm not quite sure what a footbag Canada site would entail. I mean I wouldn't abandon Hackrifice -- I would like to be a part of both. What could be unique about a footbag Canada site from a footbag Ontario or Winnipeg footbag site? Let's list ideas:
-biographies of ALL players
-video collections from ALL Canadian sites (and of ALL Canadian players)
-links to Canadian shredsites
-(we could claim Modified because Jer lives Toronto and it's a Canadian forum) -- that's mostly a joke...
What would seperate sections for each province contain? I think the coolest part about a footbag Canada site would be the uniting of all Canadian freestyers -- seperating the site doesn't really help accomplish that purpose. It would be neat to have a map of Canada, though. There could be lit up dots of cities to represent freestyler population. There could be different coloured city dots for different levels of freestyler population (Ie: Brantford and Montreal would be RED, while Byrin's lonely town and Kelowna would be, like...white.)
Ideas, ideas, ideas...
One reason why http://www.footbag.ca doesn't represent us very well: at the "Canadian Open" players were expected to shred on GRASS...
EDIT: I rewrote "seperate", like, 10 times -- is it "E" or "A"?? Neither looks right!!!...
EDIT 2: We could also have a Canadian BAP section/list! Yeah! Who do we GOT? Noah (Dubrielle(?)), Eli, Yacine, Sebastien, Allan, Jorden, Nick, Dylan...there's more, isn't there? Soon-to-be Caro. Did Jubal Hume actually decline BAP?...Or was he just against it? We could also have spots on Worlds in Canada. 3's the count, yes? Montreal (98?), Vancouver(00?), Montreal(04)?
