Arafat Dead?!
I hope Arafats successor can help facilitate change. I think the only way he (they) can do that is for the PLO to take a peace at all costs view (like the IRA did eventually) and even if this means internal factional dispute it should help polarise the international community and given the current reputation of the USA/Israel alliance the time is right for massive international backing of the Palestinian state.

Maybe having a successor picked makes it more likely that the successor would murder him.
But where are the billions of dollars he greedy accumulated while his people went without?
Even his wife doesn't know. (or claims to not know, hmmmmm)
What a tangled web we weave......

Rather than slandering people - why don't you give us something that actually makes this believable? - Like a link to an independent and unbiased news web page that has reported this.HighDemonslayer wrote:Maybe having a successor picked makes it more likely that the successor would murder him.

The Finnish national news reported this morning that Jasser Arafat has died at 9.30 PM EST. The information came from 3 sources, the palestinian goverment, the hospital reprasentatives and from Jacques Chirac.

That is one of the least disturbing things I've heard about Arafat. The guy was 75 years old (I think). I think liver failure and kidney problems are fairly common among people that age. What does living in France have to do with being gay? Would he be less likely to be gay is she lived in Iceland? As for her not visiting him: A. He lived in a compound with a big target painted on it. B. He was in 70's, it's not like he's going to be giving her some of that good good love'n.FlexThis wrote: Anyone else hear anything this disturbing about Yasser?

Arafat=gay=not only load of baloney but also likely to inspire a big load of violence. If i was an Israelite i would not go around calling the new Palestinian matyr a queer; it can only hurt you and your families life expectancy.
To slightly diverge off topic http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/4002227.stm israel has arrested vanunu again, the paranoia they must suffer under is incredible, this guy hasn't been privelidge to anything more sensitive than a news paper for the last two decades.
