ok i have time now... i really love the game, even though im hardly far in it. im getting x-box live really soon, like maybe tommarow. so my name is phantom15 . if u feel like playing pm me. im up for a footbag clan.

so far ive noticed that the maps are pretty big, but i like having banshees and ghosts in them. the new weapons are really good. although i thought the battle rifle could have been better. but i dont really see that as a downfall. also, i have to get used to controling dual guns. so far 1 player is super sick. best game ever.

Hehe I remember finishing Quake using the arrow keys for directions! Then half of half-life then a friend told me to use the mouse!!

I got so used to mouse + keyboard that I've really disliked most console FPS.. they should get an Xbox compatible mouse out. That would rock.

I might buy this game if it really is THAT good though.

I´m sorry to say but that´s not true either.

...Well many of my friend prefers xbox pad better also.. So we are bunch of weirdos then.

Just today I finished Halo 2 on single with my friend and have to say that I´m little bit disapointed to the plot (is this right word?). But I don´t want to spoil anything so just play the game trough.

Graphics are beautifull, music is great as it used to be and couple of new tricks which Master Chief can do is also positive. Simply just a great game.

an xbox pad cannot physically move as fast as a mouse so your argument holds no water! and mice are more sensitive based on the area in which they work (mouse pad versus radius of a little joystick)

this game is really fucking awesome!! i got mine on tuesday but only played it yesterday cos of having to do exams and work etc
The visuals are beautiful, guns are pretty sweet though i loved the old Assault rifle, i felt like the baddest mutha ever just fucking everyone up with that thing... but the guns are kind of more interesting now, u have to think about it even more.
It felt weird on the first level, i couldnt control myself very well, but when i got to level 2 everything started working like the old days a bit more, thats a nice level

anyway its heaps good
did you all get the limited edition bonus thing?

How can you compare the precision of a mouse+keyboard combo versus a gamepad??

Lets hook up the best counter-strike player vs the best golen-eye or halo player in a one on one match of some fps where the console dude can use a controller and the CSer can use a mouse+keyboard.

I wonder who would win?

And what you are talking about it being physically not possible, PEOPLE! Go to options and hook some speed on movement. I use 9-10. Anyway, as I said before i don´t want to argue about this thing.

omfg...halo 2 owns lol

i played it last nite for the first time....

all I wanted from halo one was, well, xbox live, which they addressed, and stats for multiplayer slayer, like hit % and head shots, now they fucking have that!!! i got my highest so far, 35% hit percentage, and beat my friend 10-1 in the process

lets not trash mentally handicapped people please. Apart from the fact that I have mentally handicapped friends, I don't think it's fair to attack people for things they can't control.

I enjoy both PC and controller fps - although I'm not that good at either. I haven't played Halo 2 yet - but the first Halo was awesome.

I think the arguement about what is better out of pc and x box controllers is a bit silly. I agree that keyboard-mouse is a more controlled method of control (this sentance - yuck) but learning to use the controls is all part of a game - I find that game pads make the game feel more emmersive - while the keyboard-mouse controlls make you feel more external to the game.
