@laroche:
when irish went public, most people (including kenny) disrespected his talents, because he didn't wear converse allstars; for years, all "pros" played in chucks, then irish has been the pro and won the worlds. Just because all do it, it doesn't mean it's the best.
If you prefer yourself in a herd of sheep, go on, but don't try to convince us that we shall not seek for alternatives.

but with the way poeple react to changes in the past and today.ShredPirate wrote:well, you can't really compare the sport of footbag back then with the way it is now.
If you carefully read my post, I never compared the sport itself.
I only want to say, that "all use them" and "pros use them" ain't no arguments, because you can't say "all have tried others" and even not "pros have tried others".
why not check out different shoes ? nbct300's are far better for the feet and climacools are defintely better than lavers in general

Why? Do you have any supportive information as to why you wouldnt consider it?ShredPirate wrote:btw, i would never dream of kicking with the shoes in this topic.
I dont think I really need anything other then Lavers for footbag, I dont have injury problems or catching problems, and I like to follow the tried and true method. I am also open to new things, so I would consider any shoe, but I would like to read a review or try on a pair before I buy. I am open minded, but cautious.
Good find Atom!

cloth is the wrong word for these shoes. I placed two links so people could look at them from two different sites....and if you had read about them rather than just sizing the shoe up with one look, or if you had read some of these posts fully, you would be informed of the fact that they are a net like material. the design is so that if you happen to hike through water it will run out of the shoe so that it will not become stagnant when it dries. I was told by the sales clerk that this shoes is made in a fashion that they are completely bare foot friendly.

Argg... I hate this. I usualy shred just for fun in my puma californias, which have a horrible toe box and are hevier then lavers, but when I want to have a serious session I sometimes put on my lavers. I can't play in them at all now, I dex to far and such. Oh well...When switching shoes there is a few weeks of adjustment in style to adapt to the shoe. Using the laver avoids this adjustment phase. I buy my shoes six pair at a time so I have enough for 1.5-2 years, and then find something new and make the adjustment.

rye,
Lavers are fine, but keep in mind there is a bunch of other shoes which are worth trying.
Here's a link for NB 520:
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7133505.html
There are also Climacool, G-Unit and NB 300.
Good luck in finding good shredding shoes!

OMG, whats the deal here, are lavers sooo hard to but, it seems as tho every other shoe topic is about finding an alt to lavers?!?!? I mean they look awesome, they're comfy, they're pretty cheap and they are meant for footbag, they're also sold as FOOTBAG SHOES!!! So why is it that ppl are straying away from them?
I'm with Sergey...fuck adds

HEY EVERYBODY. THE ONLY SHOE YOU CAN EVER USE FOR FREESTYLE IS THE LAVER. THERE IS NO OTHER SHOE THAT COMPARES. INCLUDING G-UNITS, CT520'S, CT300, CLIMACOOLS. THEY ALL SUCK COMPARED TO LAVERS. I'M AFRAID OF EVERYONE SWITCHING OFF THE LAVER AND ME NOT BEING COOL AND POPULAR ANYMORE BECAUSE I'M NOT PART OF THE NORM. SO PLEASE STOP POSTING SHOES FREESTYLERS MIGHT LIKE UNLESS IT IS THE LAVER.

Lol...ah that's great. One thing that laver fails at is this, SUPPORT! Lavers have TERRIBLE support. Have you checked out the insoles they give you? It's like a think piece of foam. Two ways to solve this problem, A.) get new shoes to shred in like the CT520's, Climacools, etc. or B.) Get different insoles.Omnicriz wrote:HEY EVERYBODY. I plan on gettin' a pair of CT520's...but I'd still play in lavers (just with different insoles)

FOR THE LOVE OF FOOTBAG!!!!!!!!!!!!! please stop posting about lavers if you haven't tried these shoes on your own two feet. I have a pair of lavers YOU GOT THAT? I am not some fool who wants to start out by changing everything....I have walked the beaten path with fully modded lavers. I am taking the knowledge of what I like in MY lavers and looking at other shoes.
DAMN I have a great idea....someone start a thread titled "Lavers or Nothing" and everyone can post there about why no one can look and suggest other shoes because the old way is the only way... that way everyone reading my post isn't bothered by the negative thought of the ROD LAVERS ZOMBIES!

Ya seriously. How do u guys know lavers are the best for you? Most of the freestylers here have never used another shoe besides lavers. You don't know if some no name shoe helps your game then the laver unless u try them.Atomic_FootOrgasm wrote: FOR THE LOVE OF FOOTBAG!!!!!!!!!!!!! please stop posting about lavers if you haven't tried these shoes on your own two feet. did anyone read my post up there ? no, i don't think so. I don't even think you think. If there had never been people who tried other shoes we'd still play in chuck taylors. yaya, I know, now there will be that shitheads trying to tell me you can't compare that, but why can't I ? It's just that the majority is too fuckin lazy to try other things; if you're happy with your lavers :
1.) use them
2.) go fuck another thread, this thread IS NOT FOR YOU.
Ok, now some simple sentences to prevent the other "arguments" :
- I do play in lavers
- I did play in chucks
- I did try other shoes
- I use my lavers modded
