Puts in perspective how much the bar has been raised. When he hit that stepping ss whirl, the crowd went off.

No they don't. 2000 is like the only year missing at .org ... they go from 99 to 01.

thankyou so much nuehard
i remember when i first saw this i started to see the possibilities of footbag as art not just some thing that looks good
when i talked to ryan he told me that that routine was his faverouit of all time
he practiced the hardest for that routine because he had never won worlds before
if anyone has anyother videos from those worlds then that would be realy cool as well
hopefully they can be put on footbag.org becuase thats where they shoudl be

Sure thing Dan,

I have three routines from the same year and seemingly from the same editor. Here we go:

http://www.footbagdenmark.dk/images/fil ... 00[1].mpeg

I second that notion.

That's my opinion too!!!

I watched his 2002 worlds routine a few days ago, and compared it to Vasek's.

Now, I think that Ryan should has won the title, because he had (maybe has) the ability to create this feeling of a mouse running down your back.
Vaseks routine was more "robotic".

I have read prereports of footbag.org for this competition. It was told that there are only two contenders who could win the title- Ryan or Peter!!
I guess that it was a big disappointment for Ryan getting robbed the title from this "child".
Of course there are much more aspects than choreographie which were counting ( difficulty for vasek; dropless for Ryan...)

It would be interesting to know how Ryan react to the decision, because for me it is really strange that he is not competing these days( i.e. He lived in Copenhagen and didn't play at EUROs :( ,although his name was on the flyer as a "freestyle consultant"( btw what is meant by this ???).

It is sad that there are no former discussions here, which I could read now, maybe anybody has some source for it?

By the way I do not want to express that Vasek was not worth for the title nor criticise his performing skills!
