Props ! Legovers are fun and cool lookin'
Keep it up !
I'm also pretty new to freestyle, and this is
what made me progress pretty fast :
1. Find out as much as u can about footbag,
make flipdider.com or footbag.org your startsite
and study the moves, sets, add system ect .
Knowledge is power !
2.Join a club, if there is none in your area, get one
of your mates hooked and start your own club.
Learning from and with others is the best way to progress.
3.Learn at your own pace, do it step by step, drill all basics
both sides( for a start try to hit as many alternating leg overs
as you can, try to beat your record every session
)
4.Technical stuff :
get some good gear : the right shorts, decent bag( i recommend
a sandbag) and a pair of adidas rod lavers.
make a training schedule with goals, stretches, drills, moves that
u wanna learn ect .
start a footblog to track the progress of your game
read the older threads here on modified, watch videos and
a lotta questions will be answered
You probably know most of that stuff anyway, if not , i hope
it helps
Shred on , brother !

When I do legovers I usally set around knee hight (maybe a touch higher) and just hop over with my other leg.

Yeah, legovers definatly don't need to be that high. You'll notice on double legovers (whenever that may happen), the legover at the end is quite low.dblthnk84 wrote:When I do legovers I usally set around knee hight (maybe a touch higher) and just hop over with my other leg.
On legovers, i find the height not as important as the place where it is set. Closer to your body is better than farther out in my opinion.
Just extra tips just incase you find legover really hard or for anyone else that reads this.

its good to do a little hop over from the other leg to start a leg over when first starting out but also try do them all downtime with out the hop

A lot of single dex tricks seem like they are fast (when you are first learning), but its all in the positioning of your leg. Obviously a large dex (a lot of air around the bag while dexing) is going to take longer than a tight dex (just barely missing your leg while dexing)FootBaGGeRKiD wrote:how can u guys move your leg that fast, i can barely get my leg over the top of it throwing about knee hight

Props on the legover. Arh! This bitch of a trick was my Everest! I had such a hard time with it it wasn't even comical... Well now it's pretty funny but back then. My advice is learn both sides and learn them well because it's going to suck to come back to 2 adds when your bustin huge 4's. Nobody like one sideness.
I think I going to take over Canada. You should help.

Oh yeah: http://www.footbag.cz is wicked nice too. Just choose the english version so you don't get a hemmorage. or whatever that's spelled to sound like. Props also on you legover! Took me a shitload of a long time to get that trick down.

props on the leg over....i actually just hit that a day before the taste of chicago(witch was some time in the middle of summer). What i figured out is that it is alot easier if u set the bag no higher than your hip. Also i learn from watching the tricks of trade video(witch is really old) you should kind of hop off your right foot. Now that you got the leg over you should try a pick up.
