According to sources, Wu-Tang Clan member Ol’ Dirty Bastard passed away today.

While details are sketchy, sources told AllHipHop.com that the rapper collapsed and died
in a Manhattan recording studio.

The nine members of the veteran rap group were scheduled to appear tonight at The Theater at the Continental Airlines Arena for their first joint East Coast appearance in five years.

i want to know what caused his death...though i guess it could be just assumed that it was basically caused by his lifestyle...
i heard that he fathered over a dozen children...does anyone know if this is true??

Not quite a dozen, but it was still a bunch, probably near a dozen.

I'm assuming he died of a heart attack, but I'm probably wrong, and he did do a lot of drugs. They said he'd been complaining of chest pains all day prior to his death.

i think drugs (not all drugs...certain ones) can contribute to proneness to heart attacks...so either way the drugs didnt help much. he was only 35, which is really young to have a heart attack under normal conditions. and of course, 35 is just TOO young to die...its really sad, but hell, at least he apparently enjoyed his life
