i dont know- i dont really see anything wrong with it- its better than a single parent, but its an issue people who are against gay marrage bring up.

Well I know a number of people raised by a same sex couple and they are just as "normal" as anybody else. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that statistics show that people raised by a same sex couple are less likely to face depression and do better in school - although I can't find those now so don't quote me on it until I can post them!

Peter "what has he done now" Dunne and the United Fundamentalists try and play the family values card all the freakin' time. Homosexuals destroy families, cannabis destroys families, supporting young mothers also apparently destroys families.

And of course if we don't have (modern nuclear[one dad, one mum, two kids]) families then we don't have morals and our civilization's about to fall into a never ending spiral of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll.

The annoying thing is that all you have to do sometimes is stand on a podium and repeat "i am about family values" and people will vote for you.

It seems that almost every underground or "slightly below the surface" silly group I find myself in whether kicking a bag, spinning pens or crawling through drains they are ALL dominated almost entirely by youth white males.

It's all young white guys!! Whats the deal, i live in toronto, one of the most multicultural cities on earth and most of my activities only include white people! I just noticed this and its really strange.

Something I don’t get:

My Response:
...It's not like all or even most gay people were raised by homosexuals. Most were raised by heterosexual people. And they learned that being heterosexual is the “way they are supposed to be.” And if homosexual people can be raised by heterosexuals, why wouldn't it be probable that heterosexual people could be raised heterosexual by homosexual people?

I guess people could argue that the flaw in that is my belief that people are mostly born “gay” or “straight” (or some variant).

Just a thought.

That belief makes a lot more sense than, "Choosing to be gay."

It sucks to be gay in our society. Why would someone choose that lifestyle if they're perfectly cool with being hetero?

I know I wouldn't want that.
