Sewing Help

Post by The_Songster »

Hey guys i started sewing my own bags recently and i got a few done but need a little help with my 32.
right now it looks like this
Image
and i used floss to sew it
i'm not done yet but was wondering wut i should use to fill it. I don't really hav access to plastic pellets but i hav rice and was wondering if that would be any good or any suggestions you guys have would help.
I was also wondering how to get in the last stitch cuz it seems hard to make the stitch dissappear. on the other bags i made, the last knot is always on the out side cuz i don't get any of those weird tutorials.

Here's my 4 panel bags that i made (fabric is all the same colors cuz my friend could only get 2 colors from his art class)

How are you guys so good at sewing? If I ever tried, my attempt would simply be a failure.

Also, what materials do you use to make your footbags?

i'm not really sure what my material was since my friend stole it from his art class...

most people use synthetic facile or crushed panne

this was my first attempt at a 32, took me about 5 hours and was a pain in the ass and i never wanna sew another one...lol

i'm glad i ordered a mini abshire cuz i could never make one that small

Anyone know where you can get crushed panne? I looked on the jo-ann fabrics website but they had like only 1 color. Are there more choices when u get to the store? Also do they sell plastic beads or some sort of filling?

I just went to a fabric store by my house. They had lots of colors. Call around in your town. The store I went to had pellets, I think they called them 'polly pellets', but they were pellets. Belive me if I can find this stuff in Alaska you can find it in Massachusetts.
I think I going to take over Canada. You should help.

I always thought it smelled like those little cinnamon bear thingies. Oh my god, I cannot believe I can't remember what they're called.

I always thought coconut, but I've never had teddy grams. Enjoy the smell while it lasts.
