At 7:30 this evening I attended the heart warming and emotionally stirring Verdi's Defiant Requiem . . . And for the two hours I sat there with my mr. sandman, Little Piece of Crap, I thought you guys would all like to hear that I didn't hear one note of it. Lets just say atom smasher and atomic ducking torque is much easier in the mind. Neo in-spinning osis. Hmm... Oh if I only had five bucks for every time I went through that motion in my mind . . . Well. I'd have enough money to get a lonn bag or a felix bag.

tom, that's 2 pages in a row you've began on the Rochester blog yeah, I'll snag some for you next time I come up, or you can grab them next time you come down. I'd rather just meet you there or have you come here than do a meet in the middle. It's cool having a home base to head to before and after shred sessions.
my last few kickings have been a little bogus, I think my nutrition needs a lot of work, and I need to drill more. I got totally skooled by the Cleaver the other day, but it was inspirational. I just wish I had someone as dedicated as him to keep my ass in line.
Matt, Pat, and I went to Holland last weekend for the event. The site was kick ass, absolutely the nicest highschool i've ever seen. I walked in and saw pete busting big and then did a doubletake.. kenny was freestyling too! I had a great time shredding with new faces (old and young). Sunday we got pleasantly lost in jersey, but made it out to kick with Dave Clavens. I only took a handful of photos, here are the top 3 in my opinion.
Double sole stalls in front of the TRUCKER'S CHAPEL!
Nice pics steve, stole the double sole to put on the site. Dave always nice to see you busting, hopefully we'll be able to kick at chilly philly.
This week isn't looking good for any sessions, but this weekend sat and sunday are wide open and look good. Next week i have 3 finals on mon, tues, and thurs. Anytime after my finals is open for shred. My cold appears to be dying out so hopefully next week I'll be healthy to shred.
1.5 hour skool session #1 today -
Lovely. I hit flipside paradox mirage, paradox illusion, and bubba. I then decided I should hit them bsos. So I did. .
I also hit a paradox dyno (or farside dyno. . my dunno) and then I strung it to an osis just to add a little style. I'm just that kind of a person.

david wrote:hey guys. thanks for comming down sunday! it rocked!
true dat, my legs still ache i have a video of you hitting blurry whirl > blurry barfly > spinning whirl (i THINK, ill have to check specifics when i get home)
i finally hit barfly last night, after giving up on work to play footbag.. and it was absolutely worth it! i also hit toe -> out to in -> out to in -> caught on osis.. i think its called motion? someone let me know.
F-ing fantastic, steve. Ocean? That's excellent. Yeah after we saw those motion-based moves at the ktys I've decided I should see if I can hit one during a shred session. Probably won't do it during my skooling. I'm kind of disturbingly professional and strict about skooling and I don't shred during them.
Anyway, it sounds real stylish and you'll have to bust that one out next time.
As a side note, what are we going to do about thanksgiving break? I'm leaving rochester for a while . . . actually for the entire break. . But if there's going to be a definite time and place of shredding, then I'll definitely make it up. I'm leaving the 19th and coming back when I need to.

i think davids face is a little red in that picture. if u havent met him he looks different in person. anyways me and david trianed at those courts when we sucked. we spent so much time drilling there, that was the good old days. that place is ancient ground to me.
i hate living in Florida...

So when are we gunna shred again, I haven't kicked for over a week. I say at least tues and wednesday we have sessions. Tuesday around 3:30 ish? I think Steve is leaving Wednesday and I'm gone on thusday. Lets get at least 2 good session in before fall break.
Unfortunately I am unable to attend anything regarding the footbag this week. What some people went through last week at RIT I'm about to go through at Nazareth so there is little time. However a few good things happened this weekend! I footed paradon and my good friend who I kicked with all those years before practicing freestyle hit his first around the world just before we saw The Incredibles. . Good movie, by the way. Pixar rocks the house. I knew he could hit the atw. He had the speed and the control. He just had to "sit down" with the bag and just do it. So he was freaking out. He also hit a pixie a little after that. The mirage is coming along fine. He just dexes really really slowly is all. Good kid though. I went to a Reel Big Fish concert with him later that night and we got a few circles going before we had to stop. Circle Kickers. . pff. They're fun but my god. I suck at circle kicking now. I get yelled at every time I stall the bag! And come to think of it, we also got kicked out of Friendly's right after the concert for kicking as well. Ah yes. It felt good to be a circle kicker once again where I'm just some "hippie punk kid hackin' the sack and makin' trouble". Fun stuff. I missed it. Soo. I'll keep skooling and show y'all up when break is over and I come back.

People always get weird when one freestyles in a hack circle. On friday I kicked with some laymen for the first time in ages, and they'd freak out whenever I did a butterfly or osis. At least their response was positive, so it was nice to show off a little.
Today I broke my atomsmasher record (5) and did some other cool stuff with my feet. Tuesday at 3:30 works for me. meet at that fireside lounge place?
Felt real good to be in a circle again, although now I'm kind of sore and tired, need to build my endurance back up. String were short didn't really hit any new strings. Did manage to hit some new moves, thinking of Josh's symposium bubba set, I tried just a symposium bubba and managed to hit one. Also hit fairy ss legover and a symposium atw, very fun and challenging to land with you foot rooted for the stall.
If Steve manages to post here later he'll have some good news.
Chris all managed to pull some huge strings and combos today, he deserves some props once again.
it was soooooo nice to kick again after taking a week-long break. playing on the roof of the photo building was fun! i managed to hit terraging osis first try today.. after about 100 attempts at kick till youre sick. chris dean was hitting some nice blender -> torque strings, he even stepped out of torque then we moved into building 1 to kick cause it got dark. i was fooling around saying how i couldn't hit reverse swirl.. then hit it. i got cocky and tried swirling set (inspired by matt of course)

then i busted a ripstein!
it was good shit! felt great to hit it. anyone wanna kick a bit earlier tomorrow? like 11ish?
awesome session today. started with me, pat, steve, aric, and some new guy who could hit some cool tricks like pendulum set infinity. it was a really awesome session for me. I hadn't played in over a week, since playing with clavens. I hit blurrage bsos with my 1st flip blurrage, 1st (maybe 2nd) bsos bedwetter with bedwetter> butterfly> other bedwetter, 1st downtime barroque, 1st fury (i flipped out when I hit this), 1st flip janiwalker (clean, set still rising. also flipped out), a run with blurry whirl > blurry whirl > pswhirl and my first flip mullet, 3 more swirling torques (the first time I've ever done more than one in a day. 2 were consecutive attempts with a hand catch between), flip superfly (long time since)... hmmm... probably something I forgot. oh well. sorry this wasn't a more personal post, gotta run... it's drinkin' time.
Definitely a good session. Hit couple new things, posted them in the new moves section. Very happy to finally hit merlin (original bs toe blur) i think, and voodoo shortly after. Also hit very many wiggle walks but pretty sure most of them had a 'the' dex. I have the set, just need to work on some consistency. Hopefully during break i'll hit the other move i was trying.
