NBA game is cancelled from Brawl

Post by RRW13 »

Did anyone see Friday Nights NBA game between the Pacers and the Pistons?

Well with 45 seconds left in the game a brawl broke out between the Pacer’s players and the fans. The players went up into stands and began beat, shove and throw chairs at the fans. This all started with a fan that threw a cup of beer on to a player. As the Pacers began to walk to their locker room fans were pouring beverages over the heads of the players. Also the Detroit Police had to get involve as they had to use pepper spray so this game was cancelled with :45 on the clock...

What are your thoughts on the game?

should more rules be inforced to the fans?

This struck me as hilarious...

I was wacthing the O Reily factor on Fox and during a commercial the had a news brief and two of the things back to back was about a guy getting stabbed at some rap awards show backstage and then a fight at a basketball game... Is Fox out to ruin everything for black people or what?

I saw the game, it was crazy.

I'm surprised sport centerand news stations are attacking the fans so much. Artest was the first to throw punches. It was interesting watching Artest run up and slam a guys 10 inches shorter and 100 lbs lighter. Later some dude 100 lbs heavier started wailing on one of the pacers from behind.

It will be interesting to see what the reprocusions will be. IMO besides the people involved nothing should change. All the brawlers should be fined and suspended big time.

Well, I don't know the particulars, but if a fan threw his beer on a player then he deserves to get his head smacked around a bit. Guaranteed he never throws another beer again.

You know the players are constantly demonized and fined up the wahoo for all sorts of things. Sometimes it's legit and sometimes not. In this case, the Pacers were there to play ball because that's their job. They put up with tons of shit on a daily basis from "away" fans and they keep their cool and do their job. Shit, if someone came to my job and booed me and threw a beer at me you can bet your ass I'd hand him his nuts in a bloody sack.

even if thats all true, its not an excuse to punch someone in the face. if your going into a career like that you should expect to get booed and have shit thrown at you.

I agree with Ashley. Boo woo, I'm a millionaire basketball star born with these freak genetics that allow me to rake in dough day after day. I'm a freak, throw beer on me, boo woo.

I'm sick of the whinning ass professionals. Their millionaires for christ sake. If nothing else, they should be paying people to go up in the stands and retaliate for a fans ill behavior. Not throwing punches and reducing themselves back to the streets of 2 man backyard ball.

There is simply too much money in the profession for the players to start acting like children on the play ground.

On the other side of the coin, fans shouldn't be acting like children either. Makes me glad I'm a smoker and not a drinker. Had they been serving smoke instead of alcohol at the game, the biggest problem would be getting people out of the parking lot in a timely manner, and keeping the nachos stocked at the concession stands.
Go out and shred already.
