I tried, like, twice -- I think it will be easier than pdx. But flip blender uses that whirl which is bad for my hip flexor -- not as bad as blurry whirls, though. And pdx whirls hurt the most (although I don't even DARE attempt flip atomic...)
Anyway, enough forum for tonight -- I have to stretch and watch John Carpenter's Vampires. This movie is so good -- I LOVE James Woods!!!!!

Andrew came over today. I had an okay session. Andrew was spinning really well. I didn't really play that well but it was fun -- I hit a few moves that I shouldn't've (flip smog, flip smoke, flip phoenix, etc.). Andrew was shuffling and trying blurry whirling swirl, which he shouldn't've :p He also did a lot of shuffle. We had some barefoot competitions -- most barefoot infinities. I hit 3. Andrew hit, like, 11. Then ripwalks, I hit 2 then Andrew hit 3. Barefoot clippers are hard. I had a short run with butterflies, osii, pdx mirages and ducking clippers.
I hit twirl both sides for the first time (I think) today.
We also watched some old James Risden footage.
I am going to have a bath and write a letter then I will draw a bit for school, work a bit on my history project and I really feel like making cookies -- so maaaaaybe if I have time
EDIT: Oh yeah, yesterday I ordered Ryan Thomas' Worlds DVD, Natural Born Kickers and Fourkast -- CAN'T WAIT!!!

thanks for the jam erik, it was fun! yeah, i really am gonna have to stop trying blurry whirling swirl. my knee was killing once i got out of the car after the drive home. it was an awesome session! seriously alot of fun. the barefoot comps were great too, and it was 13 infinites! james risden is the man, super styling runs! i want reile to put out his newer james footage. i really want to watch it, but only if he is wearing shirts that fit! haha

My scanner decided to work today when my brother wanted to scan something, so I took advantage of this mishappening and scanned, finally, that picture of Johnny Suderman and Eli Piltz I took when I was in Toronto:

(Isn't (aren't you) EVERYONE going to Edmonton, though? I was going to go to Saskatoon, but if Ontario and Nick Laroche head to Edmonton I want to talk to Brett and maybe just combine the tournaments -- I think everybody should all shred together!!!!

I also had spinning osis > ducking osis [repeat] roll off finally. I will hit it next time I play. I hadn't tried it for a while. It's so hard! I also almost had ducking > spinning [repeat], which I think is harder. It's pretty weak to say that I was close to a 4 move combo, but osis is hard!!!

I hit lots of gyro butterflies tonight. It really made me feel like Ricky Moran! Another highlight of Fourkast was Ricky's dropped alpine, symposium bullwhip @______@ The last dex was actually the, too, but it was crazy. I think that was, like, the opening clip to the video.

YOU GOT TO PLAY WITH DEREK VANDALL TODAY???
No really, though. When do you guys play again? I have one class tomorrow because I am working on a final project in drawing, that usually follows my second slot class (3 hours), outside of class. I am done at 11:30 and don't have class at all on Friday. I love footbag soooo much!! I kind of can't stop playing...I am not healing at all either though
I decided that I would hit montage, so I tried a few times and it is so possible. Probably flipside, too, if I ever heal. I didn't hit it, though, because I knew that if I tried montage out of nowhere without having even done PS whirls for MONTHS that bad things would happen in the morning. I will give it a few tries every session, though -- I was super close for the 3 attempts I gave.
I really ache to do double downs, double legovers and eggbeaters. I am really glad I can spin, though, that's what is most satisfying for me!

yeah we both hit our first ripsteins within 15 minutes of each other. it was cool he. busted 3, then i got one then he got another 3 then i footed a couple more. his look more like vaseks, really tight and he doesn't set very high. mine look more like felix's. higher and slower. yeah we play (usually) every wednesday from 9:30 to about 11. we meet in the hall way and then go to the colorful geology building to play (no one is ever there). i'm outta comish for a while though. derek convinced me to play today (and i'm sure glad he did) but i'm going to take acouple weeks off, unless my knee feels better sooner. i'm icing daily, which seems to help. it's more of a constant dull ache now as opposed to the sharp pains when moving, so i think it's on the mend. time will tell. if it doesn't feel better after these couple weeks, i'm hitting physio... i'm not going to ask you for your guy's name since it doesn't seem to be working

I never answered Adam's question. I didn't name my dragonian rogue. It's a female, though. The male dragonian has acidic saliva, while the female's saliva has healing qualities (I lick people and they get better @_____@) -- I wanted the healing.
Anyway, I got a free copy of Evan Lovely's "A collection of freestyle footbag films" DVD in the mail today! It's so cool to be liked! If my Natural Born Kickers comes tomorrow morning I will be soooo happy. This is better than Christmas (minus the Marita factor)!
Anyway -- my first impression (after getting really really worked up finding another DVD in the mail for me) was "wow!" It's in a really nice hard plastic case (he wrapped it in newspaper, too, so that the case wouldn't break, I guess!...although it did break a little, too) with a SUPER high quality printout for the cover (the paper he printed on is SOOOOO nice!!!!). It's a real contrast to the Verbatim-labeled DVD inside ;p It's got a really basic chapter selection, which is easy to understand. There are bonus features including all the routines from Worlds. The main videos are Seattle, Worlds, Vasek Worlds, Stepulous, Penske, etc. It's basically a collection of videos Evan's put on the internet, but in really nice quality and in a really nice collectable(ible?) format! Good stuff!

I actually never watch half of these because I no longer have a working VCR in my room I started copying a few to my computer just to make it easier to watch (not to share!!) but it was suuuuch a pain. Since I don't have a TV tuner I had to run them through the VCR and then through my camcorder and then to my computer. ICKY procedure, ICKY quality.

Then I kind of laid out the others by author. Dan actually put a copy of Dan Versus Brian on either my CIC Shred or The Next Level tape. I think he gave me two copies of The Next Level, so I'm pretty sure I gave that to someone...Derek maybe.
My DVDs! I didn't buy Balance of Power on DVD because videos were still being made on VHS at that point and I wanted to keep my collection consistant. Plus I didn't have a DVD player in my room. When The Move didn't work on my DVD player downstairs I practically went out and bought a DVD burner to watch it with (...expensive video! @____@) I also have two DVDs still coming in the mail any day -- ThomASS Worlds 2004 and Natural Born Kickers.
I like collecting videos. I love my videos so much that I'm going to write about them now. The first videos I really owned were Aggressive Grounds and The Sickening. My Apau bought them for me one for my birthday and one for Christmas -- that was when I lived with her for a year and all I did all day was shred in the basement and have Taras over to watch shred videos (I had borrowed some from Joel and Mark).
Then I think I ordered The Lion's Den.

I ordered The Next Level and Time to Jam. I remember chatting with Rob as I grabbed the box and ran to my familyroom to watch Time to Jam -- we were pretty excited about the first Penske footage -- I told him about all the stuff he was hitting (I think I kept pausing and running back and forth). I'm pretty sure he told me to shut up.
I'm pretty sure Where the Ripwalk Ends was next. I think Bijan brought that when Cloud 9 made their first appearance at a Hackrifice jam and we all watched it -- it was so crazy!!! It was, like, the first really well edited video! (And then we laughed at Bambi versus Chad...) I got it in the mail shortly after.
Then I think was Vortex. Chad didn't send it as a gift, so in addition to the, like, $30CAN, I had to pay $18 (??) just so that the post office would actually give it to me...I was pretty pissed about that.
Then I think I got Dan's newer video, Fo Shizza, and asked for a copy of CIC Shred, too.
Next was an interesting order. I got Balance of Power and Buda's Best (I think from Freedom?) the same day. I watched Buda's Best before school. The shred was soo terrible, but the editing was MONUMENTAL! Then I got home from school (...or was it work?) and I watched Balance of Power -- it was like running steaming hot water over a frozen glass. The shred was amazing, but the editing was so terrible in comparison to Buda's Best that I honestly turned the video off after 10 minutes. I couldn't watch it. Now I love it and I love the music, but wow. It was shocking.
My order is probably a bit off but it doesn't matter.
I ordered Whirled Shred from Eric and he put Just Shred on the tape, too. I already basically had Just Shred -- it was one of those videos we watched over and over and OVER before I got Aggressive Grounds and The Sickening. Definately a classic! (REGULATOR!)
Then I ordered ALL of Sam's videos (Bust out Now, Footage, Sessions and Freestyle Fantasy). I sent him, like, $80, or whatever. I didn't get the videos until MUCH PESTERING and half a year later. That was a pain in the ass. Sam was one of my best footbag friends before that -- then he freaked out and stopped making videos ;_________;

I preordered Champion's League (and Raw Shred in the same order) and didn't get it for about a month?...Mabye longer? That was a hard wait.
I ordered The Move from Fabian and had trouble playing it. It played fine on Marita's DVD player, but her dad was visiting from out of town and I only watched enough to show him how cool footbag is.
Then I tried to order Sick03 from Fred, but he was on vacation or something so I talked to Max and he talked to Fred and Fred finally emailed me and said he would bring me a copy to Worlds. I didn't make it to Worlds and Fred said something really cool, like, "Aww -- then I won't be able to make an Erik Chan section in our next video!" @_______@ That was super cool. I gave money to Andrew and he picked it up for me at Worlds.
Then just last week I ordered ThomASS Worlds, Natural Born Kickers and Fourkast.

EDIT 2: Okay -- did anyone ever make a video called "BLADES OF STEEL"??? 'Cause, aside from "Just Shred", I think that must be the best shred video title ever!!! I think I saw something like that in Lon's collection that Eric sold on EBay...what a RAD name!!!

I was looking at my old personal website; I am so shamed by most everything on there. I found an old footbag drawing, though, that I like. It's from, like, 3 years ago. I basically haven't drawn for fun since. I kind of miss it. I always wanted arm socks like this -- my arms and hands are, like, the only parts of my body that get cold really easily.

(in order of most views) WOW!

i dont think ive ever really told you how much hackrifice and all the stuff you do has affected my game and progression. all your videos are sick, and your blog is really awesome too. you, your videos, and derek were a really key part in my evolution as a freestyler when i began. im stoked that your healing and playing again.
