At summer my mom noticed that I had flat feet. I was so surprised, I thought that only heavy people have that problem (I'm 174cm and 55kg) but it was true.
Mom said that footbag can one thing that causes it: when doing clippers you bend inwards with your supportive leg to keep the balance. But the real problem was that I started to stand like that even when I wasn't shredding. My standing position was a bit like ice hockey goalie's.
I didn't play footbag at all last summer but not because of my feet. I just didn't have any shredding shoes. To get my feet back to normal I did more running, changed my standing position and did some other excercises. I still do those and now when I'm at last back in the game I'm trying to stand more on my supportive foot's toes.
I just thought to post "my story" here so you all could check if you're having the same problem I had. You can also comment what do you think about footbag's effect in flat feet problem.

I have conpletely flat feet. I have heard this can lead to knee troubles down the line. Then again I was also told that flat footed people can't run fast or jump high and I am fairly profficient at both.
I was told that flat feet can cause the ankle to twist down and out slightly which twists the calf/shin and thus the knee twist too. What happens is called 'pronation' I believe. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
You have to get corrective insoles or shoes with high insides to turn the foot back straight. I don't have those, but I think my climacools keep me in a good position that is not painful on my knees.
Have other flat footed shredders had foot turn-out or turn-in problems?

I've got flat feet also, no arch support goin on at all T_T I'm a horrible tourist because my feet get sore after walking through cities for so long. Also you'll notice I'm definitely not overweight or anything, I'm only 5' 7" weighing in at 135 lbs. Adding better arch support to your shoes should help, but I don't know enough about that to elaborate.

Alot of Skate shoes and Tennis Shoes (lavers) are not really great for arch support and can make it more of a problem for some people. My brother had problems with this from wearing old converse shoes and vans. If it seems to be coming from when you're shredding I would suggest wearing different shoes (unless you already do) when you aren't shredding.

If you've got flat feet your arch in the inside of your foot is very low.ana_ali wrote:so... what the fuck are flat feet?
Mosher what do you mean with turn-ot, turn-in problems?
I think I have some kind of problem - my support feet turn in badly in clipper position! Is that flapt feetness?
