Mosher's Footblog
I had the same problem. I bought a carol from Jim Jansen, and within a week, it had blown out. it was the best bag I'd ever PwN3d. such disappointment. I've been hearing bad things about carols since worlds. I feel terrible saying something like that, because it's *carol*. I love carol. we all love carol. no one loves blown out new footbags :/
i want a felix bag. or maybe my fred T will be done soon. or maybe I can get another small, heavy one from... well, who knows. someone else.

i agree with tom, i doubt i'll get another carol untill i start hearing good things about them again. as for freddy t bags. mine is the bomb! i love it to death. my only beef is i wish i had gotten the mini instead of the regular. it's a trooper, i just stick it in the washing machine and then into the dryer for cleaning, and it is holding down solid! no thinning panels, no pilling, no holes, it looks exactly like it did when i bought it! freddy t bags rock.
tom, sorry to hear about your great uncle.

that does it, I need another freddy t bag!
Did you know that the bag he sent me in England was the first bag he EVER sent out by mail?
Footbag!
My fred bag Pepper (RIP) is no longer with me, he fell down a drain in Ottawa the day after world's and splunked with a splash into the muck.
I must get a bag in his memory!

Hmmm, shred, YES; cookies, I dunno.
I can't even get them right now. I guess we'll see what happens.
Um, two weekends? So what weekend is that? Cuz I thought that you guys (you and Adam Greenwood, and the BFA guys) were going to Guelph not this weekend, but next. I was gonna see if I could come too. If you're coming here, that's wicked. I'd like to do both, I hope that they are different weekends. Are you crashing or just coming for the day? I've got crash space if you need it.

Regarding the date: I will be coming home on a train not tomorrow Friday November 18th but the weekend of Friday November 25th - 28th for shred action.
I had originally planned on coming home tomorrow but I scrapped that plan since I have already gone home once this week and it made more sense to wait till the following weekend so I can do birthday stuff with the family as that is when my mom, dad and sister all have their birthdays.
I had told Slowsis that I could drive him to guelph for a session with jon and johnny and everyone else that wants to come.
So come one come all!

Hmmm... Dexter just posted on the Ontario forum that we can go to Brantford and play there that weekend. What should we do? I think that Guelph is closer to Toronto, is it? Fuck, I have no clue where Brantford is!
I know that they have a free spot in Guelph, and it's chillin... But Dex was offering us a place to crash...
Decisions, decisions...

Let me take you all back to last Saturday night.
I was invited out to a dance party. I was told that there was a band, the person described them as 'two gay guys in thongs screaming into microphones with porn playing in the background' and so I said 'great! see you there!'.
I arrived kinda late, that's sorta how I wind up doing everything, and they were already into their set. Alot of people up front were jiving along with them and the band was admittedly quite fun and danceable! It was two shirtless dudes in jeans, one on a guitar, one just on a mic and they had a drummer. they were high-energy sorta.. chant-singing.
I took off my bag and coat and started to swing along with the crowd up front, everyone got totally into it! It was the greatest vibe of any show I have been to in so long! By the end of their set nearly everyone in the crowd was dancing away having a great time!
When they finished the house dj spun some house and we all just kept dancing for a couple more hours. it was the best group to be with, everyone seemed cool and intereting and it was on the whole totally asexual and so everyone just had fun instead of trying to mount eachother.
Speaking of mounting eachother, I met a girl!
I saw this girl, she was so striking and beautiful and stylish in equal parts all at once. She had on a sleek black formal dress over jeans and chuck taylors. her hair, phenomenal, her sway, graceful - I had to talk to her!
I walked up to her and told her that I *loved* her outfit. She thanked me and explained that she had gone to a theme party that night as a 'formal appology' and she had "I'm sorry" scrawled on her arm in marker.
Right off the bat she came across as being as cool and interesting as she was gorgeous.
I told her my name and she told me hers, "Liane" she said.
We talked about my outfit.. uh.. I don't know how we got on that topic, perhaps because I talked about hers. I found out she has a radio show on the University radio station too, how interesting!
Any ways, she disappeared and I didnt see her the rest of the night.
I remembered that my friend Kristina also knew Liane so there was still a potential link of communication. I got her e-mail address and e-mailed her the next night inviting her to come to a play with me that night since I was going to one anyways and I thought that might be a nice first hangout.
She didnt't reply.
Girls!
You didn't think fate would let me miss this shot did you?
So I was on campus today and I was passing through the university center, I couldn't help but have on my mind "i sure hope I run into Liane", I'didn't however.
So I left the JDUC (John Deutch University Center) ("Jay-duck") and there she was, walking along the sidewalk. Again I made mental note of how often these wierd girl situations occur.
I waved and smiled and she smiled back.
She asked about my hat.. we seem to talk about my outfits alot. I must remember to steer the conversation towards her more, she seems cool.
I asked her if she got the e-mail and she looked puzzled - she hadn't checked them! yay!
So then I opportunistically asked "May i have your number?" "Yes
" she said.
whee!
I had shaky hands as I dropped to grab my pencil and paper. She gave me her more active e-mail address and her phone number.
We chatted some more and she headed off to do an essay while I went off to print off fliers for my club. Though I cannot lie, as she was walking off I took a peak at her tushy - round and perky! Deeeelish!
The End.
PS. I played footbag today, and yesterday and everyday.. lalala

I always thought dresses over pants were cute, but everyone calls me crazy and says I have no sense of fashion
Marita and her sister also say I am a fashion feauxpas(?) because I wear my socks all the way up. In retalliation we were at a museum one day with the family and I rolled up my pants and rolled one sock down and left the other up
Fun story, Tom!

Erik, the geniuses (genii?) always get laughed at.. then we take over the world. Give step two a few years.
I have a good story to tell.
Going back a few months ago to a Friday morning in September. I woke up with the campus radio station as my alarm, a great song by The Postal Service was on and it got my toes wiggling and my brain working. I woke up in the best mood ever and I just *had* to thank the DJ's for putting me in such a good mood. I called them up and told them my story and they were delighted and told me they loved me since I was their first ever caller. I remember thinking "I wonder if they are really cool, they seem pretty cool" referring to the two girls that were on air.
ok, now skip forward to this Wednesday. As described above I had gotten Liane's phone number. On wednesday I was brave and called her up. I was sorta hoping to make some sort of plans with her, I can't miss this chance. We were talking away, laughs abounded and lots of things were discussed. At one point I asked her about her radio show that I heard she had. She started describing it as a friday morning show and.. "hold on," I thought "did you have a boy call in one day thanking you for starting his day real well a few months ago??" and then we suddenly realised "that was YOU!?" she said to which I replied "that was YOU!?"
How hilarious!
We wound up making plans for this sunday to get together and try out my Ouija board in my spooky attic. I am so excited about that, I have that built up waiting to burst lump of excitement sitting inside me and it burns each time I think about sunday. whoa! Liane!
I woke up this morning to Liane's show. I lay there half asleep listening to the songs and at some point Liane came on and described the upcomming song as a great one to get up and dance to and just let loose. So there I was curled up in my bed all snuggly and I BURST out of my bed, leaped to my feet and started dancing away! I was clapping my hands and snapping my fingers just letting loose to this song I'd never heard before! That had me up and out of bed at 9:30 AM! I havn't been up that early in ages!
I called her up after that song to say Hi. She's so cool. She is one of the rare girls that does stuff and is interesting. We reconfirmed our sunday plans too, I am glad it was her that said "so we're still on for sunday right?"
Swoon...
Oh, and when I was talking to her I very briefly brushed past the tiny icicle at the tip of the iceberg that is my obsession with footbag. She almost had me launch into my full speach, it was a close one. She said she was interested in footbag though she was no good at it, which is precisely what alot of people said. I wonder if this girl will continue to break the mold and actually give a fuck about footbag. Now THAT is a pipe dream.
I will undoubtedly unleash the footbag beast on Sunday, I hope I don't get too excited and scare her away.
On that note, I always get too excited and speak way too fast and trip over my words when talking to her. I have to remember to talk slower, I'll sound cooler and smarter and shit.
I have a good story to tell.

Erik, I don't remember what those songs sound like right now and I don't have any of them on this computer. I usually just put a bunch of them on and let it happen. But yes, it is great music to listen to I do agree. The lyrics are so smart and simple.. sorta like the music. I guess it fits in that sense.
I didn't mention it in my previous post but tomorrow (Saturday) is going to be a huge fucking awesome day!
I am getting together to shred with Johnny, Jarrett, Jorden, Atom, Jon, Camille, Andrew and Aron and so on and so on in Guelph!
Big Footbag Ontario event!
Camille and Andrew are taking a train and meeting me in Oakville at 10:20 AM and then we're driving out to Guelph to shred!
I didn't shred today with the idea of having shreddier legs tomorrow.
I really hope I don't suck.
I am really pumped to see them all again. I know Jarrett has been MIA for a while and I think he's been secretly honing his skills. I have also never really shredded with Jorden so I think it will be cool to see Ontario's first BAP-er throwing down.
I am bummed that Adam Greenwood can't come, I was really excited to meet him. He and I have been chatting on MSN alot and he seems really cool. I called him up and we chatted for a while, he was wasted and entertaining. He's totally stoked on footbag and he really wants to get together to shred with me/us which is flattering. Also it's really frigging cool that he just came out of nowhere. Apparently Camille brought him to the forum from out of obscurity. He was telling me that he could hit butterfly, mirage and osis before he knew about the word footbag, how cool is that?
Sometimes I think that I missed out on an important stage in being a footbag player, the whole being a hacky sacker first thing. I only got to do that for a few months, I wonder if it has had any affect on my game. That is to say, other than the fact that I suck ass at actually kicking the sack.
I was upstairs watching TV and I keep being nagged by thoughts of Liane. I guess I am overthinking and I should just forget about it until Sunday.. but I am so excited! A girl perhaps maybe likes me! and I think I like a girl. and so far this girl seems really cool! whoa!
I am supposed to e-mail her 'closer to the date' meaning saturday. I keep wanting to write her right now but I don't want to seem/be over anxious. I'm such a loser.
