Natural Born Kickers - DVD
Sorry for the wait but Natural Born Kickers is available for Canada, Mexico, and International orders now on MonsterHack. I'm in the process of getting the video on pal format. If you request a PAL copy please email [email protected] or just PM me on this thing. For now I have only NTSC. Oh yea and i asked alot of tha players permission at worlds, like Penske, Vasek, Zelinka, Murphy, etc. They all knew i was going to make a video. Some of the players i didn't ask but it was only because i didn't realize how good of stuff i had of them till i got back and watched it all. Ive been makin vids for five years so this nothing new to me. I showed Big Add Chad the video and he said he liked it and that its good. That made me proud cause chad is pretty hard to impress...

I think that Cole raises a very important question, especially since the video is being sold.
Personally, with Pierre and Fred, when they release a video I know they asked everybody on the video for permission to shoot them and use them on a video, and that they gave all the players with major sections a free copy of the video. Eli hasn`t put out a video in a while, but I know that he also asks for permission, and he also gives free copies to the major players.
I think Cole was perfectly justified in asking if the players had given permission or received copies. I know for a fact that the biggest distributor of footbag videos in Japan won`t sell/distribute footbag videos {which are sold for profit} if the players on the tape weren`t asked permission and received nothing in return.
I`ll post my opinion in here later.

From what Masa says, they aren't adding ANY more new videos to their line-up.C-Fan wrote: I know for a fact that the biggest distributor of footbag videos in Japan won`t sell/distribute footbag videos {which are sold for profit} if the players on the tape weren`t asked permission and received nothing in return.

what you really meant to say was one of two things. Either: "I'll elaborate on my stated opinions later" or " Ill post another opinion in here later."

I didn't see any Nick footage, but to be truthful, some of the editing was overdone in some spots. The Penske section was good, but it had some sort of wave effect the a lot of the time, it might make you somewhat faint. Also there is a remix of Eminem, I couldn't stand it, it was just craziness that I didn't like. And one other part that was overedited.
With that said, there was also lots of good things in the video. When you start off the video, you'll think very highly of it, good quality and good audio. Every section is dope until you hit those 3 spots, and you may like it , you may not. The vasek section is my overall favorite edited vasek of all time. I LOVE the music in his section, it makes him seem godly and epic, great music and editing ! Thanks to Tech Yes.

Hey guys,
I got NBK in the mail around Tuesday or Wednesday and since have watched it about 7 times I think. Saying that, I think I can give a pretty accurate review. On top of that, I went to worlds so I can say that Windsor pretty much nailed all of the good shit that happened. Its weird because the runs that really stuck out in my head, Windsor got, and I didn’t even know he was filming. I’m going to break this review down into sections, cuz I think that’s the easiest way to make sure I don’t miss anything. Oh, and this might spoil some of it, so... dont read it if you want like, a fresh experience when you get the vid.
Intro – The intro is sick. From the spinning MH logo to all the little intros, its well done, and it has a good song to it. Murphy hits a REALLY big trick in the beginning that I wont mention, but its huge. Anyway, its only like 2 minutes of intro so you cant really say much else then that.
Shredders – this is kinda just a random section with bits and pieces of people. Things that stuck out in my head were Ben Barrows stuff and the stuff Jorden hits. Jorden doesn’t have a section but he does have like 7 sick strings in this "collage". He hits fairy diving blend and all sorts of good stuff. It made me eager to see more, but alas. Shredders goes by pretty fast and is probably like 5 minutes? Im not even sure. Its good though.
Red husted – Reds section is set to “rubberband man” which is an ok song, and red has some pretty good shred. He busts well, and his strength length is really long. I would’ve liked to see some backround changes but its all good, cuz his whole section is from one circle/time I believe. No fancy editing here, but there are some red overlays in his section.
Toni Pakkonnen – Ok. This is seriously one of the sickest sections I have EVER seen in any video. Maybe its cuz toni is when of my favorite players, but shit man. The music is so tight, the shred is off the hook, and it just has an awesome feel. Lots of 5’s, a 6>6>6>run, and good slow motion/stops on the beat. This is like 6 minutes of just awesomeness. I don’t know if others will like this section as much as I do, but shit, I love it.
Pete Irish – Solid section. The music is like this scratching/DJ thing, which is cool. I like petes section, and all his lines are phat. There are some red overlays to emphasize “executioner”, and sometimes they make the shred hard to see, but mostly theyre cool and not bothersome. Good section overall.
Ales – This is really good ales. It’s a lot of big links, and I don’t want to give any of it away. Music is kinda slow, but its still cool. Not really anything much to say about it, but it’s a good ales section, and if you like his game, youll like this.
Johnny Murphy – This is a good section, but the eminem song is pretty weird. It’s a remix like john said, and it gets annoying, but w/e. I didn’t care that much. Murphy hits some good stuff, I wont give any of it away, but his section is really long, and a bit repetitive after a while. Not taking away from his sickness, I just think about 1 minute could have been shaved off. Still a good section, and the music is just opinion.
Penske – This is one of my favorite sections. I really like penskes game and all his shuffle and stuff is really sick. He hits a boatload of 5’s and his section is really long. Not much fancy editing, but theres a wave effect on the 2nd half which is weird, but im getting used to it. It’s a good section and includes a lot of good penske stuff plus something REALLY big which I don’t want to give away.
Honza - Probably my least favorite section. There is this weird skipping effect like was mentioned. The shred is really good, but the skips take away from it. thankfully, they aren’t throughtout the whole section, so you do get about 2-3 minutes of sick honza. Lots of good stuff, but the music/editing on this section is pretty weird.
Vasek – Very good. Definatly the most technical on the video, with tons of 5’s, 6’s, swirling combos, lots of good shit. Some really awesome phasing tricks that I didn’t see when I watched him. It’s a good section, and the tech yes is excellent on it. plus some vasek beatbox which is nice. This section is cool because its over the whole week so lots of different locations etc. good way to end the video.
Credits – this is cool because while the credits roll there is some cool strings. Most notably a sick run by Derek vandall, good outsider stuff, and a lot of other shredders. Loren baum, chris kovacks, I cant really remember everyone in the credits. Oh, dexter is in here too.
End- the video fades to black after the credits and then for some reason I’m in it with one line. So, no sick bonus footage, but if you like hot 16 year olds, keep watching!
Music/quality- Music is good, but that’s opinion. So my opinion is that its good. If you are like exclusive to alt. Rock and stuff, your pretty much out of luck. Quality is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. Like, it looks really good on my tv, my labtop, the places I tried it. and it didn’t skip at all, which was nice because my copy of ryan’s dvd did.
Overall view – I like this video. It’s not drop dead, but it certainly is damn good, and you can be sure ill be watching it for a while to come. It has a weird feel to it because its not like a laid back video like ryans, but its not all in your face like balance of power. It doesn’t feel like past Windsor videos, because its edited smoothly, and perhaps overedited in some spots. Its an hour in length which is good, and since I normally shred to videos, I just have to play through it twice. Everyone who has a section got a free copy, so that’s props right there. Overall, id say its worth 20 bucks, but I might like it and others don’t, so you may want to wait for more reviews to come out. If you are looking for a good summary of the shit that went down at worlds, and you like hip-hop music, then you should defiantly give NBK a look. If your someone who wanted routines, sorry this video doesn’t have any. I hope this review helped because I really tried to make it detailed but not give away everything that’s hit. Especially nemesis>gyro shooting ducking Montage>double corpse grinder. Just kidding.
Peace,
David Clavens

I got my copy today. They opened it at customs because there was no declaration of value on the package. I figure that's why it took a few extra days to arrive. It was otherwise unscathed: case fully intact. Actually I think my disc skipped at the beginning of Peter's section, so I didn't watch any of that.
I'm a big fan of Eric's Monsterhack clips -- they're so hardcore. I didn't find that the video was too similar in that aspect. I enjoyed the random player section -- the good song and Somolinos clip probably did that for me. Vasek's section had my mouth literally hanging open for the entire TEN MINUTES! That was the definate highlight for me. I really really liked how the video closed with Vasek beatboxing over the end of his section -- really nice touch. ALL the footage here is sick. I can't really say the same for the rest of the video.
Johnny Murphey's section was neat so watch, but I didn't find it mind blowing. Maybe I was expecting too much, though.
Ales had some sick combos, janiwalker > blurriest > blurriest > janiwalker and janiwalker > blurry whirl > blurry whirl > janiwalker come to mind. He also had some sick double dex runs.
I agree about the editing -- it was too distracting. I didn't mind the Eminem remix that much, but I found the lyrics distracted me from the shred and I missed a lot of Johnny's combos due to that.
It's nice that the video is in DVD format with chapter selection. The credits were also really nice -- I liked seeing more random player shred. OOOhhhh Also loved the Jorden footage at the beginning!!!

I just got my copy of NBK, and in my opinion this vid rocks. I watched it twice right away, and alot since. The music is phat and there's alot of great footage. I agree that the Vasek section is the highlight--maybe the best vasek section on any vid and that's saying alot. Some of that shit had my jaw dropping. Worth it alone just for this section, but the whole tape is good.
Ales has some mindblowers as well--janiwalker>blurry whirl>blurry whirl>janiwalker!--and I'm pretty happy with my section.
It's cool to have some Pakonnen footage also which is rare. I didnt find the editing too distracting or anything. I think overall Windsor did a good job and I recommend getting this vid.

Peter Irish
Hey EriC!
I just watched Pete's part again a few times and it's not skipping. I will watch it all the way through tomorrow, though (super busy with school!) and let you know. I think Dave said that he was distracted by the red inb Peter's section. I didn't mind it that much. I wasn't even bothered by the squiggly in Penske's section -- I quite liked it. I really liked Jim's section, though, again I found the Monsterhack videos to be more impressive.
You spelled Jorden's name wrong ;_____;
I really really liked Chad's single run. I feel sad. I want more Chad footage -- Chad roxorz! Tomahawk > blurry whirl beesauce.
