Jobs Notation mix up from some people?

Post by HG »

Zach thinks that jobs for a move ending on clipper to a move starting on toe goes like this:

butterfly>phoenix. I think that there should be a toe in between, so like this

butterfly>toe>phoenix.

Which do you think? I am positive i am right, and zach is positive i am wrong.

which one is it? (im pretty sure i know)

Exactly. Thats what Zach was saying, he said butterfly>phoenix implies that there is a toe stall in the middle, but it doesnt.

a toe is a 1 add, so to do one to get the bag to a toe position and leave it out of the jobs notation would be confusing, and well like Iain said, you can't pixie from a clipper, but toe is such a boring transition move :P how bout instead of toe you do butterfly>blur>pheonix :D

well, I don't know that much about jobs, but I would think if he did a butterfly, then a toe stall, then phoenix it would like like what you have. But if the move itself transitions you over to toe, then you wouldn't wright it in... like if I did pixie (move, not set) > Butterfly > symp. mirage you wouldn't have to wright pixie>toe>butterfly>symp. mirage>toe...

I thought that everyone would know this.

Toe stall is a trick. When describing a string you list all of the tricks don't you? So I don't see why you wouldn't add the toe in there, which you are supposed to do.
