Inspinning Paradox Torque
Has anyone else hit this move, as I am sure I am not the only one, what is the name for it?

I kind of like INWARD Marius. If I recall correctly, Ironman described Timberwolf as a Stepping Inward Mobius (Timberwolf = leaning torque = stepping inspinning torque, "Leaning" being stepping inspinning something, having gotten its name, I believe from Tuan Vu's "Leaning Jowler", stepping inspinning mirage. Leaning Jowler is a highly desirable result in the pigs game, which used to be more popular in the footbag scene). INMARIUS, I guess, is kind of like Influx being shortend to Flux, but I still just like Inward Marius or Inward Mobius a little more. Its more descriptive, but still kind of mysterius. I mean, how would somebody picture an Inward move? I mean, I know it refers to Inspinning, but still, to call a move Inward... I think its cool.
Oh, and I have a cousin named Marius. He looks exactly like Albert Einstein. He is his own first cousin once removed (its not as bad as it sounds. Well, maybe it is) and he's an artist, and his children have been holding the coolest campout ever, for 21 years running, in Vermont. Unfortunately the terrain on their land up there is not well suited for playing footbag.

I completely disagree.qphox wrote:Yeah, what are you talking about Jeremy? Are you saying that he hit it, we didn't, so he can name it?
That doesn't make any sense if the trick's already got an entirely succinct name.![]()
.
Furious Egg is pretty succinct. But Sunil named it Clown Face. Furious DLO is also succinct. But Sunil named it Nebula. Do you have a problem with those names?
The consensus is that if you are the first person to hit a move, you get to name it. Personally, I feel this should mean: if you are the first person to hit a move undeniably cleanly (video or reliable BAP-level eyewitnesses), and you can hit it more than once (it wasn`t a fluke), you get to name it.
If Shane has hit In-Marius cleanly, and can back that up, then it`s his right to name it whatever he wants. Of course, this doesn`t mean that he has to name it anything. It`s his prerogative. I am pretty sure I was the first person to hit PS Torque, and I even hit it on video (Fo Shizza). Could I have named it something? Yes. Did I? No. I thought PS Torque was a good name as is. Recently, I hit a cool new flyer which I am pretty sure hadn`t been hit before. But again I didn`t name it because I thought it sounded cool as is.
Shane started the thread with a legit question: has in-marius been hit by anybody, and if so, does it have a name (other than in-marius). To my knowledge, I don`t know of anybody who has hit it yet. But if Shane is the first, and can hit it on video (or in front of me next month) cleanly, then he can name it if he wants to.

hmm - I just wanted to make sure you are hitting what you say you are - I know you haven't been playing very long and maybe you are confused.
Inward marius should go like this:
clip stall - bag passes infront of you - bag passes behind you - spot the bag on the original side that you set it from - dex with the same foot that set the bag - spin back the opposite way that you first spun catching on the opposite clipper that you first started on.
That seems really hard in my opinion - because you need a fast inspin and then a complete change of momentum...
