Good Shred Shoes? - Several Different Styles

These may be good shoes, if the small rubber toe can be removed and maybe the rubber skirts on the sides.
The soles look totally unsupportive though, maybe they can be modified or some wicked insoles will fix 'em.

The shoes themselves look very light though, and are the right shape with a good toe box (as long as you can get rid of that rubber bit)

These look really awesome. Even the sole looks nice. The small rubber toe piece maybe could be removed, but it's almost not even necessary. They come in a multitude of colors as well!

Tretorn Gullwing Tournament ($73)

Insides are a bit wrong, but nothing a clipper rail couldn't handle. The toe looks more dissapointing though, as it's covered in rubber. :P Still, these shoes are pretty attractive, and the design dates back to 1959. Nice colors as well.

Not my type of shoe, because they're leather, but they look quite nice. The inside is ALMOST right, but may need a rail. The swoops on the side would definitely need to be removed, and maybe lots of other fabric.

I don't think they are any good for footbag since that type of sole is usually pretty heavy and, as you said, they have no support at all.

I wouldn't get them.

hey man, I don't know about the polo shoes, but the rest....well there is a store locally that has like 15 different shoes with the same build. it is a heavy, solid rubber(great for breaks on a bmx if it has none

) and a canvas upper that is stiff. just letting you know what I know so you have a stong idea of what they will be like in the worst case scenario. good luck though.

I've re-edited to add the prices.

I think the polos are by far the most attractive, and if the rubber toe can be removed, I think they'd be the best for shredding too. It looks like they're built a lot like the CT-520, and you might have to remove LOTS of inside fabric to make them lighter.

Wish I had some extra cash around because I want to buy a pair! :P

Well, they are some pretty stylish shoes and at least _look_ just like shred shoes... Maybe if I go totally mod crazy they'd be nice, but they still look comfy, and they're vegan! (unlike lavers)

I still want them. :P

I'll keep looking for more shoes out there... Maybe I'll deconstruct a pair some day and try to make my own ultimate footbag shoe!
