The Unusual Dragon

Post by james »

Simple: Dragon stall should get the unusual delay add. Forget that it's considered an 'outside' stall because it really isn't. The position of the foot makes it something wackier than a mere outside. I mean it's called a DRAGON for a reason!

This also applies to anchor and doof.

We all know deep down in our hearts a dragon/doof is worth 2 adds.
This isn't add hunting, I personally think they're both impractical, it would just balance the universe out if this travesty was rectified.

I don't think dragon should get an unusual delay add.
Saying that, is kind of like you saying that clipper should get an unusual add. All it is, is a cross-body outside stall, just like clipper is a cross-body inside stall. ... man, I don't think I made any sense.
Sorry for the confusion, please try and decode my message.

Wait a minute, I just realised that a dragon with [UNS] would be worth three adds! But that makes sense right? Because it is harder (at least one add?) to use and execute than a clipper.
Doof would be only two, and anchor three.

Oh well, I stand by what I said.

Clipper is too easy to get unusual. Dragon is just one of those *gasp* dare I say arbitrary cases?
Then again doof is practically [xbod] and is harder than dragon....hey but no one uses doof so who feckin' cares! Heck people rarely use dragon!

FECK IT ALL!

I understand what you're saying, but adds aren't meat to tell you how difficult a trick is. It is true that as adds go up, so does the tricks difficulty. But just by saying that Dragon is harder then clipper, doesn't mean that it should get an extra add.

By the way, I do agree that dragon is hard, and not many people use them. However, I think Jonathan Schnieder has influenced many players to use their outsides more.

creepy... 8O

What does it help and change if those stall would recieve an extra add? And I'm sure they won't.

I'm sure this has been discussed before and look - no change.

ask jon schneider if he feels dragons are harder then clippers. Weren't clippers hard when u first started them? My guess is u haven't drilled dragon enough and because of that it seems harder.

Yeah, Dragon should not get the extra add, unless its on my flipside :D .

Its too easy to do really. Like the inside that you place behind your leg, so is outside. You just move it there and its there.

You can also spin out of it way too easy, Lon would have a field day with it if it were an extra add.
Its all or nothing

If you, or anyone, post a video of yourself hitting a simple string of bails with ALL dragons instead of clippers (because they are NOT any harder, right?) then, and only then, can you claim (lie) that they are not any harder than clippers.

I feel that you can lump this in with the problems of defining unique.

Pretty soon there will only be one unique footbag trick.

I can do dragon stalls better than most people Ian George, including you no doubt.

Damien Schlobohm I don't think Lon Smith cares about adds, and I don't think he cares about dragons either, but who I am to speak for someone else? Risky business.

In any case I take back what I said, dragons should stay at two adds because people don't do them properly in the first place. It would also fuck up a lot of other things with dragon related moves yada yada.
So I guess this topic was pretty useless.
