Krafty's Footblog

Post by Krafty »

What's up guys?!

Finally decided to start a footblog after reading everyone else's! :D

Had an AMAZING shred today! I was filming myself and I hit gyro ripwalk for the first time ever! I only thought about trying it today during band in school. Also hit 2 phoenixes on camera, but they were really bad ones: I would do the pixie ducking part okay but the bag would stay on the side of my neck for about half-a-second before dropping into the butterfly. So, yeah, I was kinda bummed out about that. :? But the gyro ripwalk more than made up for it though! :D

Man, I wish every session was like today. I had some great runs and hit 5 osii in a row, the most ever for me! I've been skoolin' my flipside clippers and butterflies lately and am getting really close to hitting flip sidewalk. I'm still having a hard time hitting pdx mirage from flip clipper though so that's something I need to work on I guess.

Also, I'm really excited for the Xmas Jam in Chicago in December!! I can't wait for the event, so my friends and I are just shredding a lot so that we'll be able to at least stay and shred in the same circles that some of the awesome guys will be shredding in. Hopefully I'll get ripwalk > ripwalk by then; I still need to work on the ripwalks from butterfly though! It's wierd as hell, I can't do stepping sets from a regular butterfly but I'm able to hit dimwalk > sidewalk most of the times I try to hit it (got this on tape today too ).

So, back to school in the morning, and hopefully I'll have a good shred session tomorrow. Maybe I'll try to get some more stuff on tape. Also, can't wait for the weekend to shred with some of my friends. Now, it's back to homework! :(

Man, just had a mediocre shred today. I was really tired anyway, so I just played by myself for about 20 min. to half-an-hour.

Didn't really hit anything new but I started footying drifter from clipset both sides! :D So, I'm kinda pumped about that! Also, flipside ripwalk is slipping off of my foot! I almost had it about 6 or 7 times!! 8)

I can't wait till tomorrow because I'm meeting up with some buddies to shred! Maybe I'll get some more footage of myself and my friends cause we're thinking about making a short footbag film hehe...

Don't worry about it. Dane and I had an awesome session of shredding and ping ponging!! Ping pong rocks! :D

Oh yeah, I finally hit flip ripwalk (hit it a couple of times so I know that I can hit it now). So, I've been working on trying to hit ripwalk > ripwalk. I wasn't really close when I started with the ripwalk on my strongside but I got pretty close when I started with the ripwalk on my flipside. Hopefully I can hit them on both sides consistently and back to back before the Xmas Jam in Chicago.

Overall, today was just a fun shred. Nothing really new, just me and my friend shreddin' for about 2 hrs. I probably will shred more tomorrow, but I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow cause it's Halloween and all. Also, I've got a crapload of AP US History homework I need to finish tomorrow. I've gotta stop waiting until Sunday evening to start my homework.

Today was a pretty good day for shredding. At around 2:45, Adam (djsniffle) came over and we shredded for about an hour. He saw me hit both gyro ripwalk and flip ripwalk!! Second person to see me hit the flip ripwalk! :D

After shredding for a little bit, we tried to play a little 4 square using only 2 squares. We were trying to get prepared for the Xmas Jam, so it was just fun. Little kids who were trick-or-treating early were lookin' at us funny hehe...

Then, Adam, Dane, and I went to see "Saw." That movie was creepy as hell, but cool as hell at the same time. It wasn't really scary, but the creepiness factor was way high. I thought it was a great movie and if any of guys happen to be by a theater and have no particular movie in mind, check this movie out. It'll be worth your money, except we got in for free... :D Later!

Hey guys, I haven't been posting in my blog lately cause I haven't really had any time to shred all week. Also, I've been sick since 2 days ago, so hopefully I'll get better tomorrow so that I can maybe shred with some friends.

I turned in my video for the online sick 3 competition and had Cole decide what level mine should be placed in (he chose novice, so I can't wait till the comp starts tomorrow :)). That was basically the only bit of shredding I did all week.

I'll post more tomorrow if I end up feeling better and having a shred session. Later!

I haven't shredded much this week at all, but I shredded with one of my friends over by his house yesterday though! I hit some good stuff though:

ripwalk > run
flip ripwalk > run
flapper > clipper rpt

I'm goin' over to my friend's house later today for some shreddin', ping pongin', and maybe poker. It's gonna be sweet as hell! Later! :D

Just shreddin' in the living room today! Finally hit double atw out to in!! I also footied flipside dbl atw a couple of times today!

Not much shredding this week but me and a couple of friends had a nice all-night Halo party 2 days ago. It was freakin' amazing! Now I HAVE to get Xbox and Halo 2!! There were 4 of us (including djsniffle) and we were up until 3:20 in the morning playing Halo 2. Then, we slept until 12 in the afternoon, got up and played some more Halo 2. That was my second time ever playing either Halo or Halo 2 on Xbox (I have Halo for PC), so I think I got better overnight! Can't wait to play some more Halo 2!! :D

Allright, I haven't had much time recently to do a blog and I finally found some! :) I haven't shredded much all week, but whenever I did, I seemed to be hitting all the stuff I already knew much better and smoother. Last week, I had a four day weekend because of Thanksgiving and I shredded a lot at home barefoot. I was only doing pixie stuff though cause I live on the second floor of an apartment and didn't want to get the neighbors downstairs mad. I wish I could've shredded outside but it's been really cold lately in Chicago and we just had a lot of snow overnight. I was just too lazy to walk outside to go to the indoor racketball court to shred, so I just worked my pixie sets!

Thank God I worked my pixie sets; I hit pixie diving osis and got phoenix down! I went to shred with some friends on Friday (djsniffle included) and I was just busting out with the phoenixes! So, I was really really happy about that (now I have cool trick going into the Xmas Jam!). Dane, Adam (djsniffle), and I shredded for a couple of hours on Friday and then ping-ponged and played Halo 2 for a while, so Friday was just a real fun day. Dane's combos are getting longer and he is finally starting to not "the" his attempts at ripwalk and drifter. I hit gyro ripwalk a couple of times and had some nice long tiltless/guiltless runs so I was happy. Nowadays, I'm just so focused on getting my flipside clippersets and butterflies down, so I was just hitting consecutive clippers on both sides when I was shredding on Friday. I hit like 27 clippers on my strongside and I think 11 or 12 on my flipside, so I still have a long way to go before both sides feel equal.

Oh, and I've been watching Evan Lovely's "Vasek Stand Alone" video so much!! I've watched it at least 30-40 times within the past couple of days! The music and shred is just so damn perfect and Vasek is the person who inspires me the most, so it was great to just watch that video again and again; it's one of thoses vids that you would never get tired of watching, no matter what! One especially memorable run (in between all the other memorable runs :P) was the one with the spinning pdx blender > food processor rpt, and I've decided that my goal in footbag is to hit that run someday; it is just the coolest looking run ever!! So, my four day weekend was just watching a lot of shred videos and getting pumped up and then working on my pixie sets. Also, now I can finally link toe to toe moves with greater ease. I was hitting stuff like plo > paste rpt (which I've never hit before) so I was really pleased about that. I was a little mad though cause since I finished my challenge of plo X 6, I've never been able to hit that many again. But after watching Vasek hit swirling torque on the Stand Alone video, I started working on my swirls again and now, the dexterity is much larger (you guys know what I mean right?). I'm also kinda getting close to flipside swirls although they still feel really really awkward. I almost had a flipside spinning clipper too, so the weekend was awesome! Good shred, good videogames, and good footbag vids! What else could one ask for?! :D

Another good thing was that my friends finally told me that my whirls are thin (finally, only after watching me do them for a couple of months!), so now I cleaned up my whirls so that they look like whirls now!! Yay! But I haven't been able to hit blender or ps whirl without theing again, so I need to work them some more. Thanks to Jorden, who gave me some tips on hitting blender (cause his are just beautiful and amazing), I'm getting a lot closer to hitting them cleanly! Today, during band, I was just screwing around and I hit a couple of spinning clippers which were the most perfect ones that I've ever hit; by that I mean that I didn't look like a moron trying to dance while attempting the spins.

On a more personal note, my birthday is only 3 days away (it's on December 4th)!!! I'm really psyched because my dad bought me an Xbox which I finally get to open on Saturday!! Wow, this is the most I've ever written in one post on any forum! I was reading Ken Somolinos' blog and it really inspired me to write with more detail. I'll probably write some more in here either tomorrow or on Saturday (I've got to play with the pep band at 2 basketball games on Friday, so I won't be home from school until probably around 10 or 10:30 at night!). Later.

P.S. Feel free to post any comments as it's always nice to read what people think about your blog! :D

I didn't shred at all today. :? Last night, I played ultimate frisbee with about 20 other people and then had to play with the pep band for 2 basketball games back to back. So, I was basically on my feet for about 7 hours. That was the main reason I didn't shred today, I'm so sore right now that just doing clippers hurts like hell.

On the plus side, it is my birthday today!!! Yay! So, I got to open up my XBox and my sister got me Halo 2, so that's what I've been doing all day! I can't wait to set up my Xbox live soon so that I can play with some of you guys and maybe talk too (with the communicator ya know).

I might shred a little tomorrow but the chances are pretty slim. I've got to go to a Forte practice (it's a dance group, but I play trumpet in there) at 1:00 and we have to perform in the afternoon and then, we have a dinner. So, I probably won't be home until about 7 or 8 at night. So, I'll just see what happens and try to sneak in some shred tomorrow! Later!

Happy birthday Kaushik! :)
It's weird. After a long day of standing for 8 hours at work, shredding relaxes me -- well...until that point where you play too long and it hurts. But I find it really loosens me up. THERE'S STILL TIME!!!! MUST...SHRED...ON...BIRTH...DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the late reply but thanks Erik and Anthony! Erik, I listened to your advice and shredded in the night on my birthday! It was pretty fun cause I just stayed inside and played barefoot. I linked a couple of pixie legovers again so I was pretty happy about that. Man, the more I play footbag, the more I love it! I wish I had a basement though cause then, I would shred all the time I was home! Oh well...

Yesterday, me and djsniffle (Adam) had a little session after school for only about 40 min. It was still pretty fun though. We weren't doing that well so we just started messing around with trying to hit long tiltless runs. I'm glad we were working on that because his runs are now much smoother and he can actually hit a couple of moves in a combo, so it's cool that he's progressing pretty fast. I almost had diving swirl though, so that was the highlight of my session yesterday. Also, we just started shredding during Spanish and Adam mentioned phoenix and all my friends started "harassing" me to hit phoenix. I finally gave in and decided to try it even though I was wearing baggy pants but I was really pleased that I hit it on my first try! :)

Another cool thing was I had a band concert last night and me and two other friends were shredding. We were in our tuxes and I remembered seeing that video of Ken hitting phoenix in a suit, so I tried it too. To my surprise I had it after a few tries! So, I'm really excited that I really got phoenix down on my strongside. And then, we were just messing around this little 3-stair in the band room by doing stuff off of it or like setting the bag, walking down the steps really fast, and then doing a downtime move, so it was a really fun day yesterday. But I've got to do a buttload of homework now, so I'll post back later maybe. See ya!

Hey hey, what's up guys?! Man, the pep band had to play at a basketball game again today, but me and a friend shredded it up! It was wicked awesome! We both had some good runs and I had a long run with both ripwalk and sidewalk, so I'm really pumped up about that! So, I got pretty close to having ripwalk bsos and that just got me more excited to shred!

A friend and I are thinking about meeting up by his house tomorrow and shredding it up and playing some ping-pong, so I can't wait for tomorrow and in another week, I have two weeks off of school!!!! :D But I have a crapload of tests all week though, so that's the only bad thing coming out of having a long holiday break.

Oh, you guys wanna know how the basketball game went? Well, it was our varsity girls team and they were just dominating the other team for most of the game. But in the 4th quarter, the other team made a huge comeback to tie the game with about 27 seconds remaining and our team didn't score within time. So, the game went into overtime and after a hard battle, we pulled off a win by 4 points. Me and a couple of others (when I wasn't shredding) were just up on our feet and cheering or saying stuff to the refs about fouls and stuff like that. Overall, I had a great night and I hope to see Ocean's 12 this weekend; it looks wicked sweet! :D Later!

Today, between me and a friend, we hit 15 new moves!! 8)

Me:
torque (finally!)
dyno (it was sooo smooth and perfect!)
diving mirage
double over down (finally!)
symposium pixie (first try!)
inspinning clipper

My friend:
spinning osis
pdx mirage
smear
pixie da da curve (what the...!)
bubba
whirl
symposium pixie
dbl atw
inspinning clipper

Today was one of the best sessions I have had in a long, long time. It was just me and a friend shredding for about 2 hrs. Man, I wish I took the camera today! :? Oh well...I'll get it on tape next weekend!

When I first went over to his house, I took my portable dvd player with some videos that I burned and me and my friend (Dane) just watched videos for about 40 min. and we got so pumped up after that! I had to use his washroom but when I came out, he just says, "Kaushik, take a look at this an tell me what this is called." Then he proceeds to hit pixie da da curve after a couple of tries and my jaw just hits the floor! I always thought that I would be the first from my group of friends to hit a triple dex, but I was pleasantly surprised with this new twist! Then, we just went down to his basement and started the shred slowly with some nice short tiltless run but soon, I started going 10+ contacts on my runs and I started adding stuff like ripwalk and sidewalk in the middle of my combos. I was so psyched that I could hit that stuff midstring and I footyed ripwalk bsos, it was soo cool!

After that, I decided that since Dane hit a new move, I would hit a new one too and I started trying torque again. I've been footying torque for the last couple of months but had never hit it before and after about 10-11 tries, I nailed it perfectly. I just yelled out loud, high-fived Dane and proceeded to try it on my flipside. Although I didn't hit it on my flipside today, I kinda came close to it, so I think I'll hit it some time soon! Then, Dane tries to hit spinning osis and comes frighteningly close to it a couple of times, but gives up to hit something else. The, we just decided to reach a goal of 10 moves before the end of our session and then proceeded to take turns trying out new moves and runs. After a few minutes, Dane just busts out a dbl atw out of nowhere and we're getting more and more pumped. We were just feeding off of each other's energies and playing better than ever! Then, I tried double over down and hit it after about 4 tries. This made me super happy because I've been trying this move for the past couple of weeks and it was one of the highlights of my session.

After I hit the DOD, Dane finally nails the spinning osis and seals it with a far clipper. After this, we were just like holy crap, we're actually gonna make it to our goal of 10 new moves! Then, we just tried some long combos and Dane had a really nice one starting with one of the most perfect pixie ss clipper that I had ever seen him do and his runs now are longer than they ever were! After a little while of this, we both try inspinning clippers and I hit it on my first try while Dane hit it on his second or third. After that move came the symp. pixie which I hit for the first time on my first try. Dane tried it for a little while and then nailed it too, so we already hit a lot of new moves by now. So then, we decided to keep going past the 10 new moves and hit as many new ones as possible before I had to be back home. Then Dane goes on a rampage and hits a couple of new moves before I hit my last 2 moves of the day; he hits smear, pdx mirage, bubba, and whirl, so he hit a total of 9 new moves today! That's freakin' incredible!! 8O Then, I tried diving mirage since I hit ducking mirage last night, and I hit it after footying it for almost 5 minutes. Then, me and started attempting blenders but I decided to try a dyno instead and after about 3 tries, I nailed the most perfect and smoothest dyno ever!!!! 8) Now, I was really really mad that I hadn't brought my camera. When we were talking on the phone, I asked if I should bring my camera along, but we decided that since I was already bringing a portable dvd player and some videos, I didn't need to bring a video! What a bad decision! :?

We both just started high-fiving each other and getting really pumped up, but we were soooo tired after hitting so many new moves that we decided to take a break from footbagging by ping-ponging for a little while. So, we ping-ponged for about 15 minutes and then, came back to shredding, this time trying to put the new moves we had learnt into combos! I hit some sweet combose such as dimwalk > torque and sidewalk > torque, so I was really happy about how the day turned. I just got home about 1.5 hrs ago and played some Halo 2. So, I hope that if I shred tomorrow (which probably won't happen because I think I'm going to be sore as hell tomorrow), I have a great shred session like today. Later guys! :D

Allright, I haven't updated my blog in a while, but I'll write about my experience at the Xmas Jam in Chicago! :D

Well, me and my friends (Dane and Adam) decided to go to this event a LONG time ago, but never thought about how to get there until late last night. So, the planning part kinda sucked for us. We knew we had to take the Metra train downtown, but had no clue what to do once we got there (we had to get to McCormick Place). So, we decided to take a bus or two the event, but we had no clue which buses to take either. Finally, after asking a couple of people for help, we had to take 2 buses when we finally were dropped off at the front doors of McCormick Place. Now, this place is HUGE!! When we first walked (it was only about 10 minutes after all the sports things were supposed to start), the first thing we noticed was the exceedingly large amount of people there. This was the Mayor's Holiday Sports Festival, so there were a lot of different sports (we just went for the footbag and the table tennis ). So, after taking a long walk all the way to the other side of the place, where the footbag would be located, we come upon a few kids trying to kick one of those really, really hard footbags that are really bad for shredding. So, we just say "Oh crap" and decided to go play table tennis for a little bit until more people showed up at the footbag place. So, after 40 minutes of table tennis, we walk all the way back to the footbag and now, there's only one little kid kicking around a footbag. But luckily, we spotted Scott Davidson (who is such a cool guy, btw) and we decided to stay. Then, we just talked with Scott for a while and decided to play footsie over a little net until more people shred. Footsie was really fun though; it was Dane, Adam, and me and we played with the kid who was there (his name was Dylan, I think). We just played that for about 10 minutes when finally, some shredders showed up!

Now the fun really started!! :D :D :D

Approx. 11 a.m.

The first people to walk in after us were (Reid and Will, sorry I can't remember their last names), and they just stretched for about 5 minutes and started their own circle (actually, it was more of a line since there were only two people) and eventually, after more people showed up, Reid joined the circle (a.k.a "triangle") that me, Dane, and Adam formed and I've got to say that he has one of the SMOOTHEST styles I have ever witnessed in my life! He started out with long strings with just butterflies, pdx mirages, osii, and other small moves, but he made them look oh so damn good! He was a really nice guy too! When Dane, Adam, or I recieved the bag, we were just doing some tiltless stuff, but after about ten minutes, when I started doing combos with ducking, diving and stepping, he seemed genuinely surprised that I was actually linking some hard moves. It was really nice though! :) Then, he just started going at it with all his whirls, pdx mirages/illusions, and all his crazy moves; it was amazing how both sided he was! He made me want to shred even harder! Just before he left our circle to join another one, he just went crazy with some double over down, ddd, barfly moves and he linked them so perfectly, it was just awesome to see those moves performed so smoothly and flawlessly. Then, after he left, Will joined our circle and he was smooth as hell too and he was bustin' BIG! He hit symp. paradon and he hit all these whirl moves like blurry whirl and pdx whirl both sides! Then, later on, he busted out a flurry out of nowhere, and it was one of the most amazing tricks I saw in person!

Approx. 12 p.m.

Around noon, one of our friends that we met at last year's Xmas Jam showed up: Tim Werner! When we first saw Tim, two words immediately popped into our minds: dead sexy!!! At first, from a distance, it looked like he had a growth on half of his face! Then, as he got closer, we realized that he grew a 3-4 inch beard on one side of his face. It was the highlight of the day!!! :P So, after having a few laughs about his beard, we started shredding, and man, did Tim get amazing since last year or what?!! I remembered him hitting some nice easy moves, but today, he had fairy gyro mirage and fairy mobius off of his foot!!!!! WOW!!! I've never seen anybody do those and he was getting so close to them, and what made it even better was that he was butin' them out so smoothly. Tim, in my opinion, also has one of the smoothest styles ever in the history of the world! And he is such a great guy to hang out with; last year, it was just awkward between us all, but this year, it was like we were all really good friends and we had an amazing time. Today was one of the funnest days ever!!

Between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

During this time, me and my friends decided to get something to eat and man, were we hungry! But we found out what a rip off the place was!! I had 2 slices of pizza and nothing else and that cost me $8.50!!! $8 fricking 50!! What in the blue hell...?!! But we had no choice (although we learned later that we did) so we had a really expensive lunch and went back to shredding.

Around 2.00 p.m.

After we got back from lunch, I finally met Kamil (a.k.a quadgun), and he is a really cool guy to hang out with. Staying with what happened so far, I gotta say that Kamil has a really smooth style too! He doesn't hit really big tricks, but he hits his combos with a lot of style and it really looks good! Also, we found out during this time that there was going to be a sick 3 competition at 3:00 p.m. for novice, intermediate, and open levels. Noone entered in the novice level, even though I tried to convice Dane and Adam, they were adamant about not entering. So, me and Kamil signed up for the intermediate one while about 5 or 6 people signed up for the open level. So, until about 3:00, I just thought about what I would try to hit, but by 3, I was so tired that I decided to go with the one I did on modified (dimwalk > sidewalk > far osis).

Sick 3 Comp.

I found out that since no one signed up for the novice level and since I was the first one to sign up for the intermediate level, I would be the first one to go. I was sooo nervous as this was the first time I had ever actually done some kind of competition, but I was surprised that I hit my combo on the first try (each person got 5 tries). I came really close to another combo, but didn't hit any after my first one. After me, Kamil went and almost hit his combo the first three tries (smear > butterfly > pdx mirage), but unfortunately he couldn't hit a combo. After this came the open level guys, and some of them did some awesome stuff!! I was surprised to see Tim attempt his fairy gyro mirage and fairy mobius as part of his combo (if only he nailed them...). Overall, the sick 3 was really fun and exciting, and everyone had a great time! The crowd just loved it!

After Sick 3 until 4:00 p.m.

After the sick 3, we all just shredded a bit more until 4:00, when they had to close the thing down. So, we said our goodbyes and headed for home. Unfortunately, we can't go tomorrow since Dane is getting his wisdom teeth removed tomorrow and I have a dentist appointment tomorrow; also, me and Adam decided to work on a Spanish project tomorrow, but we should be there again on Wednesday! :D

After all of this, we just went over to the Killersping table tennis area and watch one of the world's best go against the 44th ranked in the world guy and it was really entertaining. Then, me and Adam played some table tennis while Dane laid down for a while and then, we saw a match for 5th and 6th place. So, all in all, this whole day was wicked fun!!

Then, we left for home, but had no clue how to get to the train station. So, we took a bus to a CTA subway station, and took that to downtown Chicago. Then, we proceed to walk in the opposite direction of the train station for no less that 15 minutes (mainly because all these people we asked for directions gave us the wrong directions... :?). Eventually, we made it to the Metra station and got on our train home (we made it just in time so that the doors closed after we got on; talk about timing huh...). Then, we proceeded to eat animal crackers and drink pop on our way home and Dane's mom gave us a ride home and here I am!! I can't wait until Wednesday!

As we had planned, me and Adam went down to the Xmas Jam again today and I've got to say that today was even funner than Monday was. Unfortunately for us, most of the competitions took place yesterday and we missed out on them, but soon we found out that they were having a Phat Trick contest later on in the day (which I suspected would be around 3:00 p.m and was right ).

So, me and Adam actually walked into McCormick Place earlier than we did on Monday since we were sure about what buses to take and all that good stuff. But after we walked in, we once again were disappointed that there was no one shredding in the footbag area except for one or two kids trying to kick a bag. So, like on Monday, we proceeded to go to the table tennis area and we played table tennis until 11 a.m. The people working the table tennis thing actually tried to get me and Adam to compete in a tournament they had going at 1 o'clock. But neither of us had good paddles to use, so we denied the offer and went over to the footbag area again.

Even now, there was no one there to shred with. Scott (Davidson) was talking to some kids about kicking a footbag and there was one kid just kicking around. Me and Adam decided to stay and shred with the kid and just wait for more people to show up. We hoped others would show up soon but no one came for a loooong time. We were starting to lose all hope when out of nowhere, Kamil and his cousin, Damien (a.k.a. Gauntlet), showed up. So, I thanked god, and they made their way over to the circle and we had a great time.

Around 11:45 a.m.

At around this time, I decided that I was bored with shredding and me and Adam went over to the four-square area and just started messing around. Soon, the others joined us and we started playing four-square, and I've got to say that it was fun as hell!! While we were four-squaring, Reid and Will and Tim and some other people showed up and some of them joined the four-square too. Overall we had about 7 people playing four-square and we had soooo much fun with this. I met another modified member there: Emily (a.k.a. Moxie), so we all just had a great time. It was so fun that I didn't even realize I was hungry until 2:42 p.m. Around this time, Mike (don't know his last name, sorry), Eric Reile, Norell (sp?), and one other person whose name I forgot showed up and started playing four-square too. By now, we had a LOT of people playing four-square and me and Adam decided to go eat after the game we were playing was done. But man, was that a bad idea; since there were so many people, the game took forever and I kept getting hungrier. Eventually though, it did end and I had the same expensive lunch I had on Monday! :P

After lunch, but before Phat Trick

As soon as Adam and I got back from lunch, Tim proceed to hunt me down in the footbag area and then forced me to sign up for the intermediate Phat Trick contest (which I was planning on enjoying as a spectator). So, we got Adam, Kamil, and Damien to also sign up, so there were four of us competing. Later on, Mike also signed up, so he was the fifth competitor.

Phat Trick

Damien was first and he almost hit quantum butterfly and quantum eclipse, but because they took so many tries he was forced to hit just and illusion. Next, it was me and I hit a crispy torque on my second try. Then, I spent another two tries attempting moves like pixie osis and diving butterfly, when Will started chanting phoenix! phoenix! phoenix! So, I gave phoenix a try and I hit it on my last try (each person got 7 tries). It felt great to hit a phoenix in front of so many people. Then, Adam came and hit dimwalk and almost had a pixie ducking clipper; later on, just for fun, he attempted a whirling swirl that left Kamil and I on the ground rolling with laughter. After Adam, came Kamil, and after several attempts at phoenix and pixie xbd rake (he came really close too!). Finally, the last competitor for the intermediate level was Mike and he hit an assasin on his last try that looked real nice. Later on, I found out I won for that level and I got a Tricks of the Trade 2 video that Scott told me he got personally from Kenny Schults himself!!! Awesome!!! After the intermediate level came the Open Phat Trick contest and some of the moves were awesome. Somehow, Kamil and I ended up judging that 8O! I don't clearly seem to remember who hit what but Scott hit whirlwind, Brian Parsons hit montage I think, Will hit voodoo I think, and Eric Siegel hit a blurry whirling rake (and I think think he won, although I'm not sure; can someone help me out with this? :?:), I can't remember what Reid hit (I think it was shooting butterfly, stepping torque, and shooting mirage). So, overall, the Phat Trick competition was wicked awesome!!

After the contest, we had some time left where we just shredded and Will came over and said that my phoenix was pretty amazing (he's such a nice guy and a cool guy in general to hang out with)!!! That just made my day because someone as good as him thought that I hit a trick well; it was such a great feeling. After shredding till 4:00 p.m., we got kicked out since everything closes at 4. So, about 10 or 12 of us decided to go over to the other side, where volleyball tournaments were taking place, and shred there. And man, was there some massive bustage taking place. I hit my first ever drifter from a clipper set and I came really, really close to pdx drifter, pixie whirl, and blurriest!!!! I just had an urge to try out blurriest and I was surprised that I was less than half a second away from nailing it. But after the tournament, I realized that I need to become more both sided, and that's my goal: to hit all my tricks on my flipside. So, at 5:17 p.m., Adam, Kamil, Damien, and I said our goodbyes to everyone and headed for home. Today was the most awesomest, funnest, wicked sweet day ever!! For those who didn't come, you guys missed out on a lot of good times!!
