can anyone bring a camera to the friday session so we can all hit at least a few of our good tricks for a video? this club has been meeting for a while, we've got some good moves and strings, we should put a little feature together to show the world what's going on with the RIT scene.

k well if I've got some bad news, some worse news, and some unfortunate news:
1) I can't make it to the session this friday. Got exams next week and I should probably just finish up a few papers and so on. Soo. Yeah
2) Most likely I can't go to Chilly Philly. You guys remember that one toll booth that we kind of went through because it wasn't working right? Well my parents got the violation notice and so they found out I went to the competition THAT way. . Soo. Yeah I seriously doubt I can go unless I can get one of my syracuse circle kickers to come with me.
3) My new abshire is still missing and I'm all flustered about it. No idea where it could be and that was going to be a really nice one.

These are all of course pretty much bad for me. But I haven't been to any sessions the past couple of times so I decided I should just kind of update y'all on my 20. So sucky. I really wanted to show you guys my butterfly improvement. I also started to do paradox legovers (both sides) more in my strings when I don't feel like hitting things like whirl and toe drifter. Tiltless strings look really cool with pdx legovers. So that's what I'm doing. Oh yeah and I'm trying to do opp. butterflies from either osis because that looks cool too. Later though. :?

If I come on friday I'll try to take sara's camera and an empty memory card with me. We'll probably only get a couple of minutes on film... but that's enough for some good combos and strings. Does Mike play much anymore? His camera was sweet, and the rochester scene isn't the same without him.

For Chilly Philly I'm only getting a room for Jan 1st, correct? So who is all going?

it's my car but the EZpass reciepts go to my house in syracuse. . . . But yes. they wouldn't let me go if I had asked them. . So I took matters into my own hands. The funny thing is that I assumed they would say no as the reason for my actions but when I was talking to my parents on the phone the other night they were like, "Yeah well no we probably wouldn't have let you go." soo what. Am I good or what.

Jesus I'm almost 20 years old. If I'm not allowed to go to a footbag competition only in PA then where am I going to go if my mom's not there to hold my hand to cross the street to go to the competition we'll have in Rochester!? Oh no! Lol! OMFG ROTFLMAO LOLOLOL Holler! Lean Back! frendz 4 eva!

pff.

That sounds like a load of shit Pat... you're parents need to recognize that you're not a lil kid anymore..

As for friday's session, I know shady can't come, but he might let us use his cam. Also steve has one, with all 3 cameras we could get a lot of footbag. But I definitely would rather see Anello here!

mike does play, he's still keeping his style fresh and working on dialing things and getting new shit, he just works a LOT, so he doesn't make it out much. I played with him last week or so, he's still tight and fast as ever. too bad he works late so much.

That's what steve was saying, we need to try finding times when he's free so we can arrange something at least everyother week or something like that.

Steve Is A Crazy MOFO!!!!!!! Sweet stuff, figured you'd hit that blurriest here soon.

For fridays session:
First, Steve mentioned he might beable to get Kat to rent out a nice camera from RIT for us, so we could actually get some good footage and put out our first vid!?

Second: A place to kick...? Chris, Steve, and myself... we got kicked out of building 1 by CS (bastards), apparently the lounges are "ART" and we "look bad", so we can't kick there any more. Something is always happening at Fireside now that we've started to use it, but we can always try there.
On the other hand, my roommate is leaving for Florida tomorrow and wont be back till sunday, which means I can easily move a few things around in my living room! BAM a nice shred area, with lights, nice carpeting, MUSIC, water/cold drinks, and a food if necessary. Steve thinks it might be a little cramped, which I don't like playing in cramped areas, but my living room is pretty big and once I move some things it will almost be completely open.

So its either try Fireside.., my apartment.., or we look around for open space on campus.

those conference rooms above fireside are pretty sweet. props on the new 5s, steve!!!!!! how's the flipside on those coming? can't wait to see them.

I'm at work right now. The first thing I said to a student today was, "please don't shout 'suck cocks in hell' right outside the office, miss. the sound carries in".

does anyone want to play today? I get out at 2:30.

let me just say that footbag is honestly the best thing that has happened to me. Not only is it fascinating to watch and do, but I've decided that we have the most excellent names for our tricks. Skateboarding ain't got nothin' on footbag! Let's just say we've got two people: one injured skateboarder and one injured footbagger (god forbid). Oh let's just walk up to them and ask them why they got injured, shall we? Okay.

"So tell me, Travis McSkateskaterson. Why are you in such a crummy condition this fine summer day?" I asked Travis.
"Oh well you see, Pat, I am ill at skateboarding but I seem to have tried a stunt which has caused me grief."
"Please. Go on."
"Well. It is quite embarrassing to talk about it but. . . You see I tried to do a kickflip to fakie nosebone late boneless shove it tail slide off of my roof and into my pool. It seems I am a terrible judge of distance and I landed on the tailgate of my father's backhoe with my neck. I'm not feeling too good."
"Oh jeez. That must suck. Tucker McFootbagger? You seem to be sitting on your couch with an ice pack on your groin. Might I inquire as to why you're doing such a thing?"
"You may, Pat. I was at the local ice cream shop on this hot summer day, shredding with my good friend, and I decided I should try YOUR MOM. It didn't go so hot and my legs are in terrible condition after trying to hit it over and over."
"Wow, Tucker. That is a really cool name for a trick. Who came up with that? I want to meet him and buy him an ice cream soda."
"Don't we all."

So you see? We rock. . . . I'm a longboarder but not a skateboarder. I probably would be a skater if I hadn't started so late. Oh well. Footbag, you're my hero.

This is my story. Bye

Steve: Swirling rake is cool shit. I thought about the post office as well, but they got the ordering machine in the corner, might get in the way. Its still pretty open, i dont care where we kick as long as it has nice lighting, and we can have music, and room for 4-7 people plus a camera..

Pat.... your crazy :D. Definitely agree with you though. Skateboard tricks usually are really confusing, except for the grabs, more so than in footbag.

good news... in response to those awesome drawings by J. Trevorr Hibbs, I'm having him design the sweatshirt logo. He's going to do a stylized 32 panel footbag in one color with Rochester Footbag Association written around it, and Never Give Up for the front. as payment, we'll split the cost of an extra sweatshirt among those purchasing one, and give it to Trev for free. just wanted to let you guys know.

ditto - just reviewed the tape and good god. My butterflies are still crap and I don't set the bag up high enough for anything. Aric was on top of things as usual, hitting new tricks and checking them off one by one on his list that he keeps in his giant printer in his apartment. His list of moves, he likes to call it. And Chris just rocks the bag like its his little bitch named El Poncho and he'll be like, "what!?" and it'll be very submissive and sorry it ever doubted his authority. And steve? Well steve THINKS he played poorly today but he has progressed quite a bit and has astounding dirty ho's. Astounding, steve. . . Astounding.

I almost hit paradon. . .

All constructive critique of my own "work". Still had a fine time. No video will be posted for a while me thinks. But I could always just go to my friend's house who has a fast connection and a firewire port. . . . kinda makes ya wonder why I DON'T do that. . Well maybe I will. You'll just have to see.

I need to start filming my skool sessions. eh?

To break up any ideas that I will be going to the freezing philly as a PART of the RFA. . I won't. I'll most likely be going :!: but not with the crew as a group. I'll be coming up with Greg P. from syracuse and Mr. Chris Harris, from CANADA (or so he'd like to think). If you guys see me, wave. Offer me a "what's up?" or a "dude, how've you been!?".
