Am I doing clipers wrong.

I used to do clipers like this

but I have noticed in the videos that most all of you do it like this

so how do I have to do clipers??

They're both clippers, if u hav it more to the tip of ur foot, u can flick ur foot and set the bags higher then if its near ur heel

Man, I have done some research in the "clipper area" and have some thought I think you might find interesting.

First off, It doesn't really matter where you stall the bag, what more important is how comfortable you fell setting it. Different players clipper different spots, but there's not much to choose from, rght? - either closed to the hell or toe area.

Lon Smith - right in the middle.

Ales Zelinka - right on the sole.

Mr. Vasek - very very often clost to the heel.

Chad D - close to toe.
EDIT: I have no pics of him, sorry.

I also belive that it depends on the lacing type you are using. If you compare Lon's and Ales's(?) shoes on the photos above you will see that Lon's lavers are much more loose and that IMO enlarges his inside surface whereas Ales has his shoes pretty tight which makes his insides a bit smaller but on the other hand makes him clipper more precise. I am not sure if that makes sense, but it does for me!

Cool Chad did manage to figure out how to morph into vasek form

But seriously Cabble I'd stick with the way you're doing it in the first photo, you've got a bigger landing zone and from observing you sick3 video you're getting a good controlled set off the clipper ... I'd say keep doing what your doing and you'll be fine

I've been foccussing on catching the bag more so on (center) my foot. Like more towards my ankle than catching it near the edge. I think (I'm not an expert or anything) it's better to catch it more so on your foot than have the bag hanging for dear life on the edge. solid clippers ya know? What does everyone else think?

Definitly stall it in the first photo position. I also think those photos are a little misleading - the last one of Vasek is clearly not stalled where he wanted it and I think Ales' is the same. Anyway I think you should definitly stall the bag in the little kind of hallow halfway along the shoe - where Lon has his - a little up from the sole from where Ales has his - and where Vasek has his is the first and second picture. They are all close enough to the same spot I'd say.
