whoa, shotgun pellets! thats an awesome idea, do you mix them with like plastic pellets? I dunno how it feels but I think it would be too heavy with just shotgun pellets? What do you think about it?

just stiched up another g-spot. it's a sunburst pattern using a deep purple and a pastel bluish green. i'm naming it deep purple after the band. i just had a really quick shred with it and it kicks pretty good. i just hit fog> legbeater bsos and have decided to end my shred there.
my knee isn't hurting me today so i didn't feel guilty about having a quick kick. i'm still using alot of ice and resting it up 'till next monday, when i will decide if i need to see a physio therapist or if i can have a hard shred session.

man, okay. when i bought my copie of sick 03 i noticed there was the teeniest of tiniest cracks in the clear plastic around the center, running from the circle in the center out to the rim, it didn't really worry me, because it was bearly visable. well slowly over time i noticed after many many viewings the crack began to get bigger. the crack had run all the way into the dvd info. i couldn't watch the last couple of sections on it, which sucked because vasek and ryans parts were on there. it was all good though because yves section was still intact along with alot of other good ones. well i plaed it a few more times since then and every time it gooten bigger. well today as i was watching it. yves part was eaten by the crack. i'm very bummed that the best shred vid i own is now about as valuable as a frisbee. shed a tear for me.

well i nearly killed a postal worker on wednesday. funny story...

i woke up at about 11am so i could shower, grab some eats and head off to pick my sister up from ballet and take her to school. she's a professional ballet dancer (at the age of 14 8O)so she goes to ballet in the mornings, then attends her afternoon grade 9 classes, then goes back to ballet for rehresals at night.
any way, enough bragging about my sis. as i go and start my car i checked the mail box and found the postal slip that says "sorry we missed you," when they come to your house but you aren't home. hurrah, i knew it was lavers because any christmas parcels are shipped to my dads office because em and i tend to just rip into them if they come to the house. well i check the slip and it says i can pick it up at the post office befor 9:30pm. perfect, because work ends for me at 9.
well i go and do my usual pick up, drop off, go to work routine. i get there and the restauraunt is packed. the begining of the christmas shopping. crap. i ended up scrambling all day up on line and in the back preping. i had to stay and extra 15 for my close, which is usually no biggie, but i knew i would be cutting it close.
in my chef whites i ran to my car and booked it to the post office inside shoppers drugmart. i have a couple minutes to spare and run up to the desk. there's an over whight, scrubby looking guy with a 2-bit beard and a moustache that looks like a dirt line standing behind the counter, and he has just put the closed sign down on the desk. i ask if i can get my parcel. he says "i'm sorry, but we close promptly at 9:30" and points at the sign on the desk which says the same thing, just incase i'm deaf. i look to the clock on the wall. it's 9:28. i point at it. he looks at the clock, then back at me for a second and then says "sorry, we're closed. you can come back and get it at 9 tomorrow morning," again pointing at the sign with the shop hours. i suggest he change the sign to "we close promptly at 9:28" and then ask for my package again. well he has locked such and such and isn't allowed to reopen it tonight, and gives me this really touching bleeding heart story about having to stock shelves now ("which i really hate" and i had to hold back comments about maybe he shouldn't be working here) and then walks out from behind the counter, dismissing me, and walks away to chat with his lazy co-workers. it's still not even 9:30 yet! i nearly wrapped the velvet rope around his double chin in anger. i walk out muttering obscenities at him.
i woke up early the next morning and got to the post office shortly after 9. it's not open. i stand there at the desk waiting, and at 9:10 guess who shows up. i point at the sign. and then at the clock. he's not impressed, but neither am i.
afterwards i felt kinda bad, i know what it's like to be in the service industry, but then again, if there are people in the restaurant after the scheduled close and order something to go, i'll make it for them, with no hassels.
any way. i do the toe box mod and remove the canvas from the inside of one befor i have to go get em. i wore them at work all day to help break them in. they are 1 1/2 sizes smaller than my last pair and feel really tight in the toes. as i wore them though they start to loosen up a bit. i did the rest of the mods when i got home, but had a hell of a time getting one of the insoles out. i ripped the insole in half trying to get it out. lots of swearing as i cut it out bit by bit with a razor blade. i took my time in coloring them and they almost look like they come in black with white trim. will post photo later.
i didn't do the brocka mod this time. the reason being that last time it caused the shoe to deteriorate really quickly. i'd also like to have a larger stalling surface, but now i've found my clippers are actually hindered. i can crank my ankles so much more than the shoe is letting me. i'm going to keep playing them and the material should break down and give me the crank i need. if not, i'll brock them out. i'll give them a few weeks and we'll see how many clipper drops i have and compare it to usual.
i played with them for the first time tonight and was playing okay. i has doing some interesting links out of osis, like dlo, pdx dlo, drifters and a couple diving tricks as well. it was fun. i also hit pdx drifter mid srting which i think is a first. i managed to link pdx whirl> pdx drifter and pdx drifter> pdx torque using different drifter sides. whee, new stuff is fun.
i gave the challenge ken suggested a try. i was strugling to get the steping ducking with the new shoes so i switched back to my old ones. i managed 3 contacts of it, starting on strong spiked hammer, but the flip pheonix was damn near impossible to step out of because i never felt comfortable with my balance. if i can get my flip pixie ducking up to scratch i should be able to get it. i'll work on it.
my fingers hurt, because don doesn't put the hot pans at the bottom and typing isn't helping. so adios...

Hey Andrew,
I made a new Broka mod. I have done it on my new lavers and on my climas and you can't even tell they are modded.

I didn't follow the traditional (really stupid) cutting path, rather I... rather I just realised that this is alot of explaining that I could do with a picture alot easier.

I will post pictures for you to see rather than wasting your blog space.

I have a tip to help you deal with dudes like that jerkwad at the postal office. I *know* you can brew up some intense rage, the important thing is to launch a focussed mass of rage out of your eyes and have it smash into whoever you are mad at. I tossed a girl down a flight of stairs with my rage once, you just have to believe you can do it. (she really had it coming)

i work at prarie ink. it's a bistro. i'm the 1st prep chef, so i'm in charge of setting seasonal par levels for all our items as well as making the days prep list, organizing my troops, helping with inventory and prepping every thing. we have 2 locations in winnipeg, 1 in saskatoon, 1 in calgary and are planning on opening 1 in nyc next year. i'm likely not gonna be around much longer. me and the km don't get along.

we had a mini christmas jam yesterday. it was pretty good. went from 6pm to 10:30pm. in attendance was Josh, jess, erik, derek and myself. derek jess and i were all rocking new lavers. jess was playing better than i have ever seen her play. bsos pixie and atw. some long strings of clippers toes and insides and butterfly here and there. derek seemed to be playing just fine in the new shoes. i was having a hell of a time and ended up switching back to my old shoes just to make sure i could still play, and then back to my new ones for the end. josh was playing alright, some cool combos, but not very long strings. he was pretty frustrated because he couldn't hit alot of the tricks he used to be able to hit. the biggest buster of the night was erik who was consistantly hitting over 20 contacts of awesome awesome stuff. he is reminding me more and more of ricky. derek hit a run with both jani walker, and sunil walker bothsides and dropped his flipside fury. it was nuts! he also footed a clean nemisis, but no seal. and a super clean genisis. he also had a close shot at furious pdx drifter. i was trying to mix it up a bit that night. more ducking, spinning and drifters. the result was a drop off in my string length, but it was fun and as the night went on i was getting more consistant with it. it was a really fun session and there was lots of jokes and laughing. it was also derek's birthday yesterday. he's now the big 19! hurrah. every one should send him belated birthday wishes.

I totally have that sunilwalker/janiwalker beesauce run on tape and am going to make a video fairy soon! I remember how excited I was -- I do a little dance in the video after he hits the second janiwalker...it's kind of a double hop. That was definately my best move of the night ;)
That session was so super fun, but I played way too hard. I probably won't be playing much this Christmas, now that I think about it. Hopefully we can at least have one jam that I can bring Marita out to. Hopefully more, but I don't know :( That dinner tonight was actually cancelled just a few minutes after you called! I was just going to play alone but I haven't even. BLERGH!

nope, the christmas trees are your thing man. i'm not going there.

okay, well i have played every day since saturday (or maybe friday) and i seem to be almost over my injury. it still aches from now and then, but it's a different kind of pain. it's only a dull pain, and it seems to only be coming from whirls and blenders on one side. impact doesn't seem to be an issue, since i was doing superflies last night on that side and had no irregular pain. another good thing is that the pain isn't long lasting. it seems to hurt for a single moment while i'm doing the action and then disappear.

i'm very, very slowly getting used to my new lavers. i may have mentioned this befor, but my clippers seem to have gotten lazy. i really have to focus on cranking them now, which is good, but i am now not focusing on other parts of my game. i really really want to do the brocka cut on them again so my clippers flatten out with out as much effort, but at the same time, i don't want these shoes to fall apart as quickly as the other ones did. and vasek, who seems to have the flattest clippers on the block, doesn't do it, so i feel that i don't either.which leads me to believe that the mod is completely useless.

shred is doing okay. working on new stuff, refining the old. lost some, picked some up. that's how it goes. the only issue has been control, but that will come back in good time. after watching the vids that erik made i noticed i was bailing to osis way way too much, and was hitting too many butterflies. i'll work on making those into dynos, spinning clippers, paradons and dimwalks.

i don't feel as on form this winter as i did in the fall. every session then it felt like i was hitting something interesting. a new combo, a new link, my runs felt longer. maybe it's all in my head. erik said he had never seen me bust as big or long as at the demo in november. it could be due to lots of time off, less playing outside, which is when i play best, or a hand full of other reasons. i don't know why, but i hope to find out what the difference is now as opposed to then.

really looking forward to going to japan. i know it's not untill the spring, but i'm still super stoked. i was talking to my friend sumi (so cute but that's another story) and she got me even more pumped up about it.

any thing else new? ummm. work stuff, but i don't really feel like talking about it... at all. and going over the terrible moments at work and again at home just doesn't sound fun to me. call me crazy.

oh wait. my sister is going to start kicking again over winter break. she doesn't have dance classes so she needs way to activly fill 6 hours of her day. she's got super natural style, and is a really quick learner. after her first day last year she was hitting 2 adds. yeah. that good. too bad she likes ballet better... :?

the last few sessions i have had have been really really good. run length is up, how ever more bails then i like. uniquness is up, and i'm hitting a much greater variety of tricks than i was just a few weeks ago. i am hitting fewer fives and 6's just because of the strain they seems to have on my body. when ever i start trying to link lots of 5's i seem to get injured. coincidence? possibly... i don't really remember the last couple sessions i've had, i just remember that they went pretty well.

tonights session was really great. it was 4 hours long, starting at 8pm. it was derek, josh, jess and i. my knees are feeling alot better, and i'm now attempting whirls on the side again, but i had done something to my back, at work this time. it was very similar to the back injury i had in september. i twisted to one side and pop, something went. i was lucky though. i wasn't too busy and took 15 minutes to go to my chiropractor. he set me straight and i went back to work, and did something to it again. i struggled to finish the day and went back to see him again. he set me right and i went home, had a hot bath with some epsom salts to relax the back muscles that had fucked with 4 times today, then did some streching and felt almost 100% again.

i had a good long warm up with lots of streching and i slowly upped my run difficulty. i kept my back loose and i was feeling top notch after about an hour. it still feels really really good right now infact.

i had some runs well over 30 contacts and lots of strings in the low 20's. it seemed to be a night for new things for me at least. i hit fairy same drifter bs, a bunch of ripsteins at the end, and *tada* VORTEX both sides! Up to this point i had never hit vortex, on either side. and i said ear;y on that i would hit it tonight. it took me about 8 tries on my good side, and i hit it into a run. next time around i managed it flip on my 4th or 5th try and sealed it with a run. i was walking on air for a while there. i guess all my drifter work these last couple sessions has been well worth it! i got my flip quantum back and was hitting back to back tripwalks and other combos. i did a bunch of bsos fairy tricks and hit fear> fairy butterfly bsos. my atomic seemed to be on and i opened a run with tapdown> blur> tapdown> blur> legbeater> stepping same mirage> legbeater> stepping same mirage> some pixie shuffle> run. it felt soo good to have it back. i also hit mobius at the end of a 14 or so contact run sealed with a hand catch. i didn't mean to do it, and then wasn't expacting to land it, but hey, i'll take em as i can get em.

derek had some stupid new shit roll off his foot. i'm not going to list them because he may want it on the dl. he did hit zulu mullet and had a run with zulu tomohawk mid in a 40 contact run with heaps of 5's. i was inspired by ken and had numerous close attempts at tod. i think i can get it if can get the set height a bit more consistant.

josh had ripstein roll off and his runs were getting much much better and longer. he hit some cool quantum stuff, dim walk bsos (josh has a super solid right pixie, pheonix is a bail for this guy, but his left had been neglected), and i thing 3 or 4 back to back plos.

jess was hitting legovers alot (one side, couldn't get it to sit flipside). getting her pixies and atw's deeper and cleaner. she also had bsos butterflies, and hit pixie x3. she nailed far legover in like 3 tries and had it rolloff flipside. her osis was getting better one one side as well.

my stepping set wasn't great tonight and i had to take a couple minutes and get it back in working order. i want my stepping set to look like juho marjo's. his ripwalks are badass!!! such high knees and such energy on the down time components. with my knee injurty i had stopped lifting my knees as high as usual because it was hurting, and now i have just gotten lazy, but plan on taking some time to work on getting that height again!

tomorrow i'm off to do the last of my christmas shopping (i hope) so it's time to hit the hay. over and out.

wow, christmas was a blast. i had a few sessions. the only real thing worth noting was osis> mobius bsos. i hit it a bunch actually. i don't think the zooms were 100% clean, so i'll work on that. it felt really cool though. i liked the change in momentum. what else? pwhirl> barfly> spinning osis> inspinning clipper. the inspinning came out of no where.

i got all my christmas shopping done. just squeezed by. i did most of it on thursday. i did the last few things on friday befor i went over to my best friend will's place to celebrate with him and his gf meghan. it was fun to see him again. we usually can't get together too often because of our schedules. he works for an airline and has really wacky hours. anyhoo they gave me $50 to go into my tatoo fund. i liked the card "Andrew, this money is for your tatoo fund, AND NOTHING ELSE!!! When ever the needles pierce your skin, and the pain in almost unbearable, think of us. Much Love Meghan and Will 666."
i got will a wicked down tempo cd i had just recently heard and thought he would enjoy, but it turns out meghan alread has it, so i'm gonna return it and find hime something else. i got meghan these shnazzy boxes that you hang on your wall and put things on display in them. they are wooden box frames, and i really liked them, and would have kept them had i anything to show off. we had lunch (KD with cut up hot dogs in it, they were busy cooking a turkey dinner and didn't have much cooking space) and then meghan's family came over, so i skidaddled.
me and the family did our usual christmas eve ritual. sat down for dinner then emma and i got to open one pre-designated present. as usual it was a movie (shrek 2) so we sat down together and watched that. later we all sat on the couch and read aloud "The Night Before Christmas- The Grant Family Version" which just means we use the lines people screwed up in past years and the jokes we have made. example a verse in the book goes "he spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, and filled all the stockings and turned with a jerk" on year my sister was readin it and read "and filled all the stockings and turned LIKE a jerk" so that one is now used instead. example 2 the book goes "and laying a finger aside of his nose, and giving a nod, up the chimney he rose" but has been changed to " And laying a finger INSIDE of his nose ..." followed by a bad joke. this year i got that one and came up with "and laying a finger inside of his nose, pulled out a boogey, which he wiped on my clothes." it's great fun! it usually ends up with me pop, me sis and i laughing our heads off and me mam screaming "YOU GUYS ARE RUINING THE STORY!!! IT"S NOT FUNNY GODAMNIT!" and then we laugh harder!
we went to me grans for dinner and had the usual turkey. she kept forcing booze on me, which i think is really funny. oh yeah, she was fitting a vest on my mum, and said "let's do the old test shal we?" and then punched me mam in the boobs... twice. none of us could believe she did it. once mam started laughing we all did! what else did gran do? oh yeah, she was asking if we had seen any movies and then asked "are you going to see "The Fockers"?" at wich point i spit punch on my self. then she says "What? that's how it's spelt right? it's not like i said fuckers!" it's funny because she's 76 and it's the first time i have ever heard her swear. and it was a damn good swear too!

i made off like a fucking bandit!!! i can't believe how much loot i picked up!!!
