New Montreal video

Post by acxel22 »

I'm really not satisfied of my work on this one, but due to lack of time I decided to release it this way.
Heres the link: http://www.footbag.org/media/513/mtlfootbag.mpg

Faster link will be available soon I hope

I loved it. Editing skills are excellent, specially on the intros.

Shows how silly the montrealers git when we shred.

Hilarious!

Good stuff. I really liked seeing longer runs from Nick ;p He is so pixie bothsided! Nice seeing Eli and Seb, and Yax and Caro and the players I am less familiar with! I hope to see more soon. Was that all from one session? I noticed a lot of the footage is shared with the last couple videos you made :p

But my next videos (from Gabon) will be totally self centered so don't worry about me not being present in this video Nick!

HAHHA

I went "Yea-ah-ah-ah-ahhhhh!!!" at exactly 4:21 in the video. :D

Also, I watched that final (before bonus) link like 8 times. It's so weird how...stuff you don't see very often in footbag just doesn't make sense at first, despite how much we play otherwise.

Or maybe it's just me.

Great video, I think it could have done without the footage we've seen before though.

AWESOME!

I have seen so few footage of you, and it's such a pleasure! I dig
Seb's, Ellis' and Nick's styles soo much and I finally I have some
decent footage! Great stuff.
I'd like to see more from Claudia and Caro!

Awesome vid!! So good to see some stuff of Nick finally!! Glad to know he exists ;)

Also Ellis shreds well. So much style - symposium butterfly was the highlight - I bet he was thinking of Anssi when he hit it ;) :P

Eveybody else were impressive too! James will be somebody to look for in the future for sure!

Great vid - thanks a lot!!

RE: symposium butterfly was the highlight - I bet he was thinking of Anssi when he hit it...

Should I know who Anssi is? Really the only thing I was thinking of was "If I go for Superfly, I'll bash my arm into that black cabinet," so a bail was the better option. ;)

Not to take away from the vid, but I used to like my style before this video. Maybe I was playing extra-ugly that night, I dunno. God, I hope I don't always look like that when I play; I feel like I just heard my voice on an answering machine for the first time, "I play[i/] like that?!" I'm working on a new video though, which I think will show me in cleaner form- not just me, lots of good MTL footage.

Whoa!! 8O YES YOU SHOULD!! :P
I sent you Felix's Cheese Processor video for Massive Tricks!

And that Symple Butterfly didn't look so awful

Oh yeah - cool vid. Altough I expected a bit longer because of the size.

I could tell by the fact that you all kick arse!

Thanks for the video! very entertaining, and awesome shred.

Oh, Ellis, if you EVER want to swap styles... gimme a call.
I can see that messed-up-knee-crap-uselessandtalentless type styles are going to be big, one day

To Anssi:

sorry. Just forgot the name, not the person. If he had wrote ana_ali, I would have remembered. ;) But regardless, I don't know why I would think of you when hitting Symp Butter- maybe you hate it- I've probably missed some discussions about this. I generally don't like those moves either, but I've been letting go of convention.

RE: I expected a bit longer because of the size.

Ditto. Mathieu, you should try re-encoding it in a more efficient codec (MPEG-1, 237 KB/s is not good). PM me if you need some tips. Oh, but GREAT video! I really enjoyed it, and laughed my ass off!

Feared I'll be the only one that critzises your style...
well I'm always the bad guy ain't I, so to sum it up briefly :

-> 90% of what you did in the vid looked dirty to me
-> no, you don't always play this way, in fact you do alot of moves alot cleaner (though I hate you for that ugly DDD in the flipsider training section, I always use that and ales' DDD on f.org as a comparison to show people that style ain't everything  )

don't be offended, to be critical is always better than to praise you, I'm just kicking you towards godlikeness 8)
