? where did the other two panels go? it looks to be the same design as any other 32 but with different shapes for the panels
ie stars instead of hexagons and a 9 sided panel instead of the pentagon
I believe richard abshire posted a pic of a 10 and 9 sided panel bag back a little while ago when he was having trouble with that company that wanted to sue him over the original 32 panel design

forgot their name, but they have a design patent on that (truncated) icosadodecaedron shape sewn together out of cloth (e.g. soccer balls have other patent owners). well, afaik richie still has to pay a fixed amount per sewn bag to them, or am I wrong ?

Yeah, thought same.jon wrote:? where did the other two panels go? it looks to be the same design as any other 32 but with different shapes for the panels

And if Richie really has to pay something for every bag he sell it is really wrong.

That is stupid that flying clipper would want to sue him over "their" design. The 32 panel soccer ball design is a geometric pattern that has been around for thousands of years. The earliest mathamaticians discovered pretty much all the polyhedron patterns that we use as footbags today.jon wrote: I believe richard abshire posted a pic of a 10 and 9 sided panel bag back a little while ago when he was having trouble with that company that wanted to sue him over the original 32 panel design
But maybe they somehow legally own the footbag rights to a Truncated Icosahedron. I don't know, sounds stupid to me.
