Pellet because I like the feel.

Dude, just take the advice that people have been giving you and get a Sandbag from Freedom Footbags. I find that every new footbagger (not every, but many) will ask for the communitie's advice on wether to go sandbag or get a 32, but regardless of how many people tell the newcomer to get a sandbag, they will keep asking or procrastinate because they want to be elite and get a 32. A sandbag is the ONLY way to go for someone just entering the sport when it comes down to 32 panel pellet filled and Sandbags.

Sorry, but I think someone had to say it.

I'm getting a Sandbag. I was just wondering. I've tried pellet before, and to me, it's impossible to stall with them, but they're good for just kicking. I've had 1 sandbag (Dirtbag actually), but lost it.

the pellet we talk about is a 32 panel facile (very soft material) that stalls better than sand when broken in (2-4 weeks for most bags)

they are smaller, heavier, ,and better, but sand is the way to go for new footbaggers, like chris said

I thought what Goad thought. What are the pellets? Cause I found an old Sipa in my basement, performed some surgery, and out popped plastic white beads.

I prefer pellets now, but when I started out, I used to prefer sand all
the way. There comes a time when you switch from sand to pellets,
I think. Sand bags are too sticky on my foot, now that my level of play
has become more intense.

the pellets in the sipas are GIGANTIC

good pellet bags have pellets about 2 to 3 mm in diameter, maybe more or less, im just estimating. It sits as well as sand, but has more bounce and control. Its also more round. And it doesnt leak!

and most pellet bags have really dense pellets, so they take up less space and put in more weight, but sipas are the oppossite, its like putting a marshmallow into a bag, sure it fills it up, but its as heavy as a hollow piece of shit filled with helium.

A good 32 panel pellet bag is easily the best to use in my "humble" opinion

Better shape, better weight, better feel - they're just better.

Good 32s generally have a mix of metal pellets of some kind and plastic or glass beads or aquarium rocks. - but all very small.

Sandbags are good for beginners just starting out. Once you are playing tiltless and can do BOPs on both sides, you should start trying to use pellet bags. Pellet bags will force you to be more precise with your sets and stalls, and become a better player.

When i first got my lavers and mr. sandbag i ordered a abshire with it. I didnt touch the abshire until like 2 months after i started freestyling. It was hard at first to stall but it makes a better teqnique because practicly sand stalls for you. I say get "the feel" of the stalls with a sand then move on to pellet to cretique it.

i think people talks about sands and include from regular sand to little rocks, or aquarium rocks

Personally I filter twice the sand . I use two different wire sieves and the result is the very fine rocks
That method have two advantages
1. do not destroy from the inside the footbag
2. do not lose the contain of the footbag

and other problem is the density

if you use just pallets I think, my humble opinion , the fbag will be full withpallets and it will to light , maybe 25 - 30 grams
the perfect combination is rocks for weights
and pallets for volume

i prefer pellets, but i kicked with dylan fry's 32p sandbag and it was awesome. Probably as big as a carol and the tiny rocks/dirt/sand made it nicer to kick, and the material is some kind of material ive never seen before, its strong and its thin, so it makes it robust and stuff...

I think the misinterpreted stereotype of the typical pellet bag has newbies thinking Sipa rather than 32. I remember my first juice bag, and seeing Peter Irish kick a twisted bag (not sure how many panels, but it wasn't a 32). And then there is worldfootbag.com selling every number panel under the sun. It leaves newbies confused all to hell thinking more is better, or in this case a pellet bag is a Sipa Hacky Sack.

I voted pellet, but I also started with sand, and had I not bought a dirtbag as well as a juice, I probably would have given up, because I didn't know what breaking-in a bag meant.

In essense, what everyone else already said.

Ture. Most inexperienced footbaggers would think that, when they are starting out, sipa-sipas and other crocheteds are the only pellets. THey always see that and the Mr. Sandbags. However, not a lot of people in my school even know that Richard Abshire's footbag exists. Let alone, Richard Abshire, Fleix and whatnot. They're always telling me that the pellet filled ones at Pac-Sun (TM) is the way to go. Then I take out my sand bags and they say that it's the best bag. Once i get my Abshire, and it's broken in, I htink I'll change some people's preferences. I love my sandbag but it only does so much as trick-wise. I really need a 32. That's why I bought an Abshire. His pellets, I hear are special not the shit-type BEADS that 2nd graders use so if they drop one, they'll be able to see it from forty feet away. Like some people here said, good beads should be about 2-3 mm. If that's 1/8 of an inch, then my preference is right. I however, have amix of random stones I found At my street, .177 bbs andsome beads I've hoarded over the years...

Anyways, it's relly your level that depends on your preference. If you're a 2 week footbagger, then you're going to be trying to stall the basics so A sandbag is what your eyes and feet will be looking at. If you're a pro shredder, chances are, most of you will turn to custom 32 special filling bags.

EDIT:

I'm almost sure it's seven facile panels....does anyone have this bag? I'd like to give it a go other than some 32s......

Th3jermster BOP's = Butterfly, Osis, Paradox Mirage.

I dont prefer either all sand or all pellet bags. A good bag definitely has a mixture of filler: sand, plastic fill, and some form of metal fill or aquarium rocks for weight.
