Hey everyone. Just trying to get this ball rolling again. I have some unfortunate news, and some good news. What do you want first? The good or the bad?

BAD NEWS
I am deeply upset and depressed to let all of you Ontarians know that Footbag Ontario will be going offline very shortly. ShredON has had a two or three month stint in the online footbag community. We had 31 members and over 1240 articles. The reason this is going down? The host that I am with is moving its servers around and I can't keep the site up. I am sorry.

GOOD NEWS
Canadian Freestyle is under heavy development, and it should be online in a matter of a few weeks! I have been working my ass off trying to get this thing going and it has finally hit a point where it is workable.

Here is what I need:
- Ideas for forum topics
- One person for:
+ Moderating each provinces board
+ Moderating each other subforum
- People from Canada to participate in online brainstorming sessions
- People who have resources for advertisement and promotion

I have stated before, I can't do this by myself and I need alot of help bringing this together. People, PM me if you can devote a few hours a week to this!

(p.s. The other good news is, that since my host messed up large, I am prolly gonna get all kinds of free shit. wewt.)

If possible I would love to have a moderating job.

I can PROMISE you not a single modified member checks these boards more than I do and I would do the same for footbag Canada.

Let me know how else I can help.

ps. dex, your tapes should be done today

I spose that I could volunteer to moderate a Newfoundland board, but I'm the only person in the province who plays :)

I would love to be a moderator of the Nova Scotia board.

I'll also help out in any other way I'm needed.

An idea for the individual Province boards. I think it's a bad idea, creating too many guidelines to where you have to post, and taking up way too much forum space (an extra 13 more forum sections). The only way it would be productive I think is to make something in the application form when you sign up that you select which province you are from (or "Non-Canadian") from a drop down box, so out of all of the provincial forum sections, you can only see your own. This was people from the same province can post more closely knit information, questions, and announcements having to do with shred from that province. You could make each province a user group, that would be how you would limit access to each provincial section to each user. Just dont know how adding something to the registration forum would be possible.

Chris, I felt you had it right then wrong.

I just think that separating it into province specific forums is silly.

why don't we have a 'Canada' topics forum and then a few others.

Too many gets cluttered.

I agree with you. I just felt like offering an alternative because I didn't think that people would like the idea of dropping Province specefic forums completely. But I'd rather not have them at all :).

Dibs on Rory's personal assistant! Aaaaaaaaaaalright 8)

On a more serious note, Christmas holidays starts up next week so I'll have uber amounts of time to help out. I can moderate the other subforum (if it will still exist).

Hit me up on MSN Adam!

Get your ideas in the form of a PM, and hit me up with the shizza!

Development is heavily underway. Get the thoughts in! Maybe we could organize a brainstorming session on MSN messenger this wednesday?

Let me know! </excitement>

Just to make this clearer... what I meant was that every user will see all of the basic forum sections. BUT, each user will also see one provincial section. This way all users will be able to interact on the main boards, and also in ADDITION to that, people will be able to post in a seperate section (only viewable to members of that province, and hidden from others) for their province.

woot this rocks
