Jere has made three vids for sale.hacksterbator wrote:ever thought of making a full length shred video for sale? you should consider it.
Shred supreme 2001?
Alter Egos 2002
Phatrix 2004
Those were on sale in Finland only, but I think that you can order those from Jere, try PM. Alter Egos is great and Phatrix is awesome educational footbag video. I have Phatrix Replayed DVD which also includes some hardcore shred among the teaching.

I had a back injury about two months ago and it´s still bugging me. That´s why I wasn´t on the video. And it´s a lot better two have somebody using the camera whole time instead of shooting in turns or using a still wiev.
Anyway, my back is feeling better now and hopefully I can shred in New Year Jam.
Tuukka already mentioned my videos and those first two really are a bit outdated. I´ve thought on putting Alter Egos to the web via BitTorrent but we´ll see what happens. I´m still working on the english version of Phatrix. It will be out soon.
Thanks again for your compliments. I´ll be visiting the notorious training cave (The Basement) in Juho´s town during the christmas holidays. Maybe I´ll come up with a little delight from those sessions.

Jere!
really, this was an amazing video!
i really like all the videos i have seen from you, especially the intros. IMO you do the best intros in footbagvideoworld.... really huge props!
with what software did you edit this video? because if i do 10% speed on premiere it gets all choppy and stuff...
also what kind of camera do you use, a 3ccd? the colors are amazing even though the place doesn't seem really well lit. with my 1-chip camera, which i think is really one of the best 1-chip cams, i don't get such a good picture...
or did you edit the colors afterwards?
props again,

Yeah, I use a 3ccd-camera. It is sony vx-2100e. The colors really are amazing though the crappy codec fades them a lot, you should see the raw material. I can´t wait the summer when the light is at its best and every color shows up so bright. We have planned making a footbag film for sale next summer. I´m tired to these films which showcase only shred clips combined together with ackward transitions. The shred is great but I couldn´t sell that kind of videos anymore. They are good for internet distribution though. If we want this sport to grow bigger, so should the videos we present. I hope we can make our full length film look cool and fresh with a totally new concept.
About the slow motions. I used three different programs for those. Avisynth, VirtualDub and Motion Perfect. The video is edited with Vegas Video 5. The clips with 50% slowmotion were done by just making the video progressive 50fps and then slowing it down to 25fps. This can be done with avisynth and virtualdub. Over 50% slow motion was done by slowing down those 50% slowmo´s with Motion Perfect. It is a program which uses only progressive material and it morphs the frames together making the final clip very smooth.

word. i remember watching the kona beach II video and being soooo impressed with his ripwalks and butterflies because of how he jumps into them with such force and aggression.Laroche wrote: the ripwalks are what got me. Look at how high his knees go, and how he jumps into the butterfly, instead of falling in to it or doing it all one motion like Vasek or Ryan. Much cleaner and nicer, in my opinion.
i hear that he's also a sick snow boarder, and used to just kick in the summers when he couldn't ride.

Yeah this is an awesome video!! Definitly getting lots of play time on my computer.
I agree about Juho's ripwalks - I have a fairly old video of him somewhere (like from 2001 I think) - where they look a bit slurry - so he has done really well I think to get them to be so good!
I really like Vasek and Ryan's ripwalks too.
