Jeremy, if Annes job was actual political comentary then your point would hold. However, she is not paid to make people think, she's paid to be a hate mongering, crowd rallying, lie telling, predjudice stirring political tool.
Bad writers like her and Michael Moore are a very big problem with politics, particularly in the United States.
If people want opinions they about politics they should read some proper politicl philosophy or listen to some sensible debate. Under no circumstances should someone wanting to expand their political horizons watch Bowling for Coumbine or read Slander with that purpose in mind.

Hmmm, broadened horizons perhaps wasn't the most succinct term.
Perhaps i should of said, broadened while not being sullied by bullshit.
The NRA was not the reincarnation of the Klan. Charlton Heston is not a racist. Moores gun numbers aren't adjusted... It goes on and into Farenheit aswell. To be honest I don't hate Moore near as much as Anne I found Bowling entertaining and funny, but it was very barely a documentary. http://www.bowlingfortruth.com/bowlingf ... heston.htm
http://www.davekopel.com/Terror/Fiftysi ... it-911.htm
and heaps more sites, do a google.
When people become political demagogues through appealing to popular predjudices with fraudulent facts and blatant disregard for the truth... Well it just annoys me, you know.
"Don't you think that reading slander would help to understand the motivational force behind the neochrstianazi movement in the states ?" - Would talking to some one trying to convert you to their religion at an airport help you understand that particular religion, or would you prefer to read a summary of it by an agnostic? Would you say adverts help you understand the product or would you prefer a price comparison done by an independant group? Would you trust a corporate self examination declaring pollution levels "safe and harmless" or would you prefer a government investigation?

What I meant to say was:
"Yeah! To hell with Freedom of the Press"
Actually, while I feel the validity of the words spoken already on this subject, I must also say that no matter what media outlet you turn to, it is inherently flawed by humans. So to ask a journalist to be a fact spitting machine instead of a human isn't 100% accurate either. Al Jeezera caters to Middle Eastern people. Fox news caters to political conservatives. Michael Moore is an idiot. See it all works out.
Go out and shred already.
