too tired to skool

Post by Muffinman »

how often do you freestyle? including skooling. and how long?
i tried going every day and i cant keep up. three times a week is about what im getting in now if im lucky. those days i get at leats 2 hours. i feel too tired after work and stuff to play. im going to try to play now and force myself to go long even if my body doesnt want to.
anyone else have trouble forcing yourself to play? i mean. when you want to but you feel too tired.

2 People? Try just kicking with yourself. You get used to it after a while though. I used to play every day for about 2 hours a day, but this semester I've been down to more like 3 times a week because of my work load. Normally if Im tired and force myself to play, I lose the tired feeling after about twenty minutes of playing and get into it. Somedays you just have bad days though, and kicking while you are sick and are having a bad day is the worst! You feel like shit and cant hit anything!

Haha. I'd love it if I had any person to play with. I usually session for 2-3 hours 2 times a week. More if i'm having a lot of fun. Most of it is just schooling. I usually have the tv on to keep me company and to watch while I take breathers. I've never tried kicking more often then that. I could probably tack on another day or two a week.

Yeah i know. I play by myself every day and with brad maybe once a month. I have carpet at my house so playing on a wood floor trying to impress a bunch of onlookers (a basketball tournament)... it was tough.

i try my best not to miss a day, latly iv went down to like 5 times a week tho. i try to hack as long as i can, usually untill my legs get all tired and stuff. i was to the point where i was going for 4 hours a day and my legs didnt feel it. i guess i should be better then i am but im getting there.
do you think thats why i have such problems with my legs freaking out on me all the time?

freaking out? like how? after a hard session for the rest of the day and maybe the day after my legs cramp up like hell if i put them in the wrong position. its freaky and hurts lot.
i think i figured out the tired thing. it worked like noah said. after a couple runs i was really into it and couldnt stop. usually i stop when my chest hurts and my eyes burn. i think my legs are invincible. i think i'll try to play 5 days a week. a single hardcore session by yourself improves your game SO much.

If I eat healthy, I get tired less. Also, if I don't stretch after a session my muscles will be sore the next day. Unfortunately I find the older I get the worse my body feels when I play tons of footbag. Knees and shins are my worst problems.
I've found that for me I improve most dramatically when I play with only myself or one other person. It's easier for me to focus on the things that I need to practice. But then again I don't really do that any more because footbag isn't as important to me as if once was.

I've been jumping rope to build back my endurance. Cross training is good for any athletic activity. I'm also a firm believer in drills, i usually do at least 30 minutes of basics before each session.

my legs jump and stuff right before i go to sleep, even after i streach real good. and the less important mucles like the mucles on my sholders or biceps, even my mucles in my feet buy my ancles twitch in my sleep (kinda funny and hard to believe i guess but it happens) and if i dont get to sleep fast enough it keeps me awake for hours at a time.

and i think if you drink less pop or what ever and more water your legs might not cramp, i heard somewhere that caffeene makes your legs cramp and stuff im not sure if that is true (can someone conferm that?). i dont drink pop cause im hyperglycemic so its kinda easy for me to just say that kind of stuff.

Heh, my legs used to twitch, but they eventually stopped. I've woken myself up from my legs doing whirls. :P

I'd love to hack every day, but the motivation is nil when there's NEVER anyone to shread with. As it is, there's a definate 2 times a week when I can have a kick, but not always with someone.
