After watching Futurama the other day, I stumbled upon a fellow
kicker in "The Problem with Popplers", in a crowd of hippie protesters

I made a couple of vidcaps.

ok yall do know that almost the entire population of the u.s knows what "hacky sack" is, and they know how its played, and a ton of people play it just for something to do...so why is it such a big deal when it shows up in a show on tv? And why do we keep having to post every time about us seeing it on tv. its not a rare sight, and just because its on tv doesnt mean that footbag is evolving, its just something commonly seen.

This is prolly cuz we don't see footbag AS OFTEN AS WE FRIGGIN' SEE FUCKING BASKETBALL OR BASEBALL ALL THE TIME IN TV!!!!!

Let me put it this way: try to do somehing and see how many times you'll see a certain sport in TV on an average day. Then, compare that with the footbag footages, if you have any on TV. You'll be surprised. To have footbag on TV is like free promotions. We don't have to pay anyone and chances are, one out of a couple hundred guys will notice that footbagger and see that, "Whoa, he did that hold thing...I'll try that" and that will lead to more bag spreding in that community. Like a good epidemic. That how I got started...

I don't know but a possible scenario could be this:

A guy sees that Futurama episode and sees the footbagger.

He later notices that you play footbag and is immediately drawn to your talent.

You teach him the basics, he picks up footbag.

He morphs into a fearless player

You also become a fearless player.

Keep in mind that this is a POSSIBLE scenario. This may not happen for real but if that DOES happen, you have contributed one more pro freestyler to the world of footbag and that's one more freestyler that will help spred footbag throughout the entire world. TOUCHE`!!!!

The promotions thing may not be like, FREE ABSHIRES!!!!! or FREE FELIXES!!!!! But the sport will be advertised on TV.

The sport is not hacky sack, it is footbag. ON this episode of Futurama it is a HACKY SACKER
