xbd heelstall appreciation topic

After hitting xbd heelstall spontaneously at some session this month,
this move hasnt left my thoughts.
Out of various reasons, i couldnt shred for ten days, and i spend a good
lot of that time fantazising wildly about possible moves/combinations.

Tonite i had a try out and this is what i got :
ducking xbd heel stall
firefly ; like a butterfly, but ending in xbd heel
oasis ; like osis, but bailed to xbd heel, insted of clipper
pixie same xbd heelstall

Other ideas i was experimenting with : "hurl"= whirl to xbd heel stall,
"bender"= set> op in whirling dex>same heelstall, "girl"= xbd set>same
back swirling dex>same xbd heel...very graceful that one...

(Note : all the names are made up by me, since i havent heard
about those moves yet. if you know the common names for them,
please tell me. If you like those names, tell me aswell

)

Please share your ideas, improvements and experiences !

i have hit ducking xbd sole stall

think of all the moves u listed but a sole stall.......

flapper moves are also pretty cool, probably even harder to execute,
but this xbd heel stuff seems to be less explored yet...
at least to me

Word to the xbd heel stall.

That heel is a tough target to hit.

I'm also a big fan, though I have not tried to do any complicated xbd heels, I just try to hit the basic cross-body heel well. Evan Lovely did me a favor by getting a good combo on film: lefty xbd heel > flapper > xbd squeeze > leg-over > pixie lap catch > snow clipper > righty xbd heel > flapper > xbd squeeze > mechanosis. 7 unique guiltless unusual surface tricks in ten moves (I still think that the lap-catch is 2 adds, despite what monster-hack says, its Unusual Surface and Delay, so with the pixie its guiltless).

I think you can still see it on "A Lovely CSS5" at the freedom footbags website.

Firefly, by the way, is butterfly dragon. Sorry, NuR, but I've laid claim to that one years ago. I've even got it in Tricks of the Trade II (butterfly dragon: I'd have called it "Dragonfly", but that name was already taken...)

I've seen my buddy Jack Keller hit Shin stall to Crossbody Heel stall. It was pretty amazing, and I though pretty impossible, and told him so, but he did it anyway...

I believe spanish fly is taken already.

I've been trying heel stall step overs from infront to xbody and vice versa.
Today i also tried heel stepping, since im learning stepping sets.
and then I also tried a swirl from a heel stall, but that didnt work out very well.

I started footbagging because I saw a guy hit heel stall..

really.

Then I spent a year doing mostly heel stalls. Not much the xbd variation just heel stall.

My friend Fred also loves the heels, lately he's been busting stuff like:

pixie legover heel > pixie op heel
double swith over heel
heel > op heel > op heel

I'v also hit heel > diving same heel > ducking op heel

and a little favorit of mine:
spinning ducking heel. I dubbed that "swiss clockwork" knowing someone probably hit it in the 60s, named it, forgot it and no-one ever hit it again

Anyway yes, heel are cool! Don't give them up!

Finally I've been intergating this into my runs lately:

legover (or dlo or something ending in lo) > same heel > turn your head and body so you're now in a xbd heel stall > snap your ankle so the bag falls fomr heel > osis stall > reverse walk over

This one guy in edmonton is really good with heel stuff. He can do the heel osis thing and heel legover stuff.

Has anyone ever built a heel box?

In my pre-Laver days, the shoes I was using for freestyle had a really usable heel. I could do heel atw's and heel rakes to a x-body set.

After I got Lavers I wasn't able to do any of that stuff anymore (small, round heel). I stopped developing my game in that direction, because I was so enthusiastic about hitting the tricks I saw on videos. In hindsight, it's kind of a shame that I stopped, as that stuff was pretty cool.

I think that the heel will be a huge factor when a 'Laver killer' shoe is discovered, and it'll be realised when somebody's busting ridiculas toeguiltless style runs with their heels - behind their backs.

When Felix had his ankle broken, he still shoved up in some sessions - without gear. He couldn't bend his foot to clipper, so he tried to play with Xbd Heel

He had that kinda shoes that it was really hard, but he footed something like Superfly and PS Whirl ending to Xbd Heel
