seattle folklife festival
here in seattle there have been some grumblings about making folklife a bigger footbag jam. folklife is a large music festival here in seattle that will be happening may 27-30(last friday-monday in may). we were thinking it'd be a medium sized jam. not as big as sjff but we'd like to try to make it a multiple day jam and get people from oregon, idaho, montana, victoria, etc, all the road tripable places. if everything works out i will be in a new place by then and have crash space for all. it would be an outdoor jam at the festival and our indoor backup would be the downtown seattle ymca. red and noah came up last year for one day and seemed to have fun. so my question to you is who's down?

This jam could be huge! Between the hopefully good weather at that point, and the festival, it should be a very enjoyable outdoor jam. The festival itself has music, food, and all sorts of other things. While it's doubtful there would be any competition at the jam, you never know. If people show enough interested, this could be anywhere from a 1-4 day jam. Whoever can make it, let us know.
Peace,

Folklife is a bitchin' festival even without shred, and it'll be even more bitchin' with it.
I'm also predicting nice weather for the month of May, seeing as I'm looking out my window right now and staring into sun. Besides it's been really dry here the entire month of December, and the rain usually starts around October here so I think we're over the hump. Three cheers for global warming!
My question for you though Scott and Sam, is how would this coincide with May Dayz?

shouldn't overlap at all, last year may days was the 1st and second and i'm assuming it'll be very similar again this year

alright guys time to get a bit better head count for this thing. so far it looks like we have the spokane crew(you guys still down?), james and nate expressed an interest(you guys still down?), dylan expressed an interest and will hopefully bring other victorians(what's up?), the olympia people will probably be up(alex, matt, kevin, jane etc), those are the ones that are most likely right now. i need to get in touch with red and noah and see if they wanna come up again this year. i'm also going to try to get the idaho crew and the montana crew but that's farther away than most people i think so we'll see if they're game. please post your status here, or you can pm/email me

Im not sure as of now, I have to present my senior project around that area to fucking graduate, but I get to pick the day, so I hoping not that day or so
And I dont have a license, I could probably convince my cousin to give me a ride. Hopefully I can convince brad and mario to come, but they are both busy as fuck. Give me another month or so, and I will have more info

I'm going to go, and I'll see if I can get Red, Noha, Andrew, and my freind Clayton to go as well. May sounds perfect, I can tell my parents it's along the lines of a graduation present. The whole thing sounds sweet, sick shred, good music, and in an awsome city.
