My Crazy/Scary Night.
My Crazy/Scary Night.
Last night was the craziest/scariest night I ever had in my life. It all started when my mom came into my room saying that there were people fighting in the middle of the street. And now one of the people is at my front door ringing my door bell. I didn’t know what to say or think, so I run down stairs to open my door and see what’s up. When I open my door, I see a 20-ish year old sitting there with a t-shirt drenched in blood and yelling for help. I didn’t know what to do. I then asked him what happened. And he said “My friend …. He’s in the street, he needs help, don’t call the cops.” I then look towards the street, and I faintly see a body on the ground. This really scares me, and I tell the guy to hold on, and I proceeded to call 911. I explained what I saw, and then they transferred me to the fire department. At that point I thought to myself, what the hell can the fire department do? …I got on the phone with the fire department and said the same thing, about what I saw. The person on the phone told me not to go near the guy on the stairs, and just stay inside. That’s what I did. While inside I asked my mom if she knew what happened. She told me that four people were fighting, and that these two didn’t go anywhere (probably because of how badly they were wounded) and that the other two guys left in a light colored car. I tried remembering all that, because I would be the one explaining it to the police officers since my mom doesn’t know how to speak in English. We waited inside the house, and looked out the window to see if anything was happening. When the ambulance came, we opened our front door, to look out; however we kept the storm door closed, as to not make any contact with the guy. At that point the guy on the stops slid down 3 steps and ended up on the ground, he then tried walking towards were the ambulance was on the street, but collapsed on the sidewalk. They put the guy that was laying on the street, into the ambulance. And right away another ambulance came and they got the other guy into it. After the guys were in the ambulances, a bunch of cops kept on coming by and asking for the story. They taped of like half of the street, and were walking around with flashlights seeing if they can find anything. Then I noticed that the second ambulance was leaving, however the first ambulance had not left. Instead it just moved over on to the side of the rode, and parked. This meant one thing to me, that the guy had to have died ……. Then the detectives began coming, and the investigators. They took a bunch of pictures, and filmed all around the block with a camcorder. They then started taking blood samples from the blood that was all over my front steps from the guy who rang my doorbell. They also took anything they found into small bags and whatnot. Then they just took off the police line, and began slowly leaving. At this point I went outside to ask who was going to clean this blood up in the front of my house. The detective said that they can’t, but we can, because we have the things to do it with. I was like WHAT THE FUCK! That’s so stupid; I thought that they would have special people to do that and that they would have the things to do it with. …. But then I came back to listening to him, and he told me to get a bucket of hot water, and pour a nice amount of bleach in there. So after they all left, my mom, my sister, and I all proceeded with cleaning it up. By now it was around 5:30, and I finally got back to bed. But that was no good, because I couldn’t sleep anyway. I just couldn’t believe what had just happened on my block. I mean, I live in a nice neighborhood, nothing like this has ever happened. I pretty much layed in bed and just thought for an hour, and around 6:30 I finally fell asleep. But that didn’t last to long; I had to wake up at 7:30 to go to polish school. This is also the time that a detective called to get the story from my mom. This time I didn’t have to say it, because they got a polish translator. Who turned out to be my mom’s friend’s son. The guy later called his mom and told his mom to tell my mom, that the guy that was lying in the middle of the street, was shot and died …. He was 20 years old and was in America for 2.5 years. This was crazy to my mom and me, because my mom never heard a gun shot. (I then thought about a silenced gun). Then we drove home from school. When we got home, we were met by more detectives. They mainly asked us the same things as all the other detectives. They also told us that the one guy was shot and had died. Then he told us that the other guy, who was on our steps, was stabbed multiple times, and isn’t looking very good. Then I pretty much started writing this, until more detectives came by my house to ask questions. And now there’s like 4-6 of them walking around my street looking for evidence.
Sorry this is so long and that I jump around and my sentences aren’t perfect. It just felt good to write this, it helped me face the facts, and to cope with the whole situation. So if you read this, then thanks, and if you didn’t that’s cool, this is pretty long.
Laterz,
Kamil

that stuff always rattles you. a couple years ago one of my friends was shot in the face and died. the people that knew him were very disturbed, and those who saw it happen haven't been the same since. it rocks the boat a bit. it must be very tough for you, knowing that some one was shot and killed out infront of your house, but i think writing it out like you did will help clear your mind of alot of those fears.

Good job calling the cops. That was the best thing you could have done. And good job staying inside. You shouldnt have to deal with stuff like that. Leave it to the cops...or firemen in you position.
Sorry to hear about it. I wouldnt be able to sleep for a week, the blood bothers me a bit.

Man, Kamil, that really really sucks! I don't know how I would have handled that situation if I was in your place. Like Luke said, good job on calling the cops and staying inside. I hope the detectives stop bothering you and your family soon and hope you all get through this alright.BainbridgeShred wrote:Wow

Kamil, what you did, no matter how many friends prolly willt ell you, are not a pussy. By calling the cops, you had the balls to admit you were freaked out and asked for help. That's something only a few of us would do Major, major props on that. Good luck. By the way, it really sucks to experience that and especially as a first time-thing. My friend died in a car accideny just a couple weeks ago so it sucks. And it's in a nice neighborhood so it fucks you over when a killing happens. It shakes everything up beacuse that's prolly the lst thing you can prolly expect in a neighborhood like that. Props on everyuthing you did and how you handled the sit.

LittleBoy footbag....what the fuck are you talking about! I am Kamil's friend and that thought never crossed my mind. It has nothing to do with being freaked out, but with remaining calm and taking the best course of action. I don't know what type of friends you have or people you know.
I know you mean well, so sorry. But you imply alot in your ignorance.
By the way that is fucked up! It must be the proximity to TBK.

sorry most of my posts don't have a lot of thought but i have friends who woul dhave called me a pussy had that happened to me so my bad. I just naturally assumed that it would go th same in chicago. However, whatever I wrote meant well. I just pretty much though, wrote out all my thoughts on the even he experienced and it never occured to me that some people would read it in a different way that I thought of it as I was reading. My fault on this one and sorry to everyone especially Kamil/ Kamil's friend whom I most likely offended the most
I really sould htink more on my posts so I will make it sure now that whatever I post will be clearly understood by everyone.

Haha, exactly what I thought when I read that first line. But I guess different people different reactions, and if he is used to those types of reactions then you can't blame him for posting that.CIC flurry wrote:LittleBoy footbag....what the fuck are you talking about!
Anyways, I'm glad that you and your family are alright. It must of been a terrible thing to see. Hope that nobody innocent was injured.
Hey guys thanks for all the replies, they made this a lil easier on me. As to how my family is doing, well we are all still pretty shaken up by the whole thing. We all pretty much have trouble sleeping. I know get woken up by the slightest sounds that I hear coming from outside.
We got a call from one of the detectives, and he said that the one guy that died, was not shot, but stabbed multiple times, and that he bled to death when he was laying in the street. The other guy, who rang my doorbell, is in critical condition in the hospital and might not make it. They weren't able to get any information about him other then that his name is Paul.
The detectives haven't been contacting us since yesterday around 2 o'clock, so things have been pretty calm.
It's weird to see how my street is all empty and calm now. On saturday morning, when this happened, it was all taped off and filled up with cops looking around everywhere. The street being all empty like this now, makes it even more hard to believe that it actually happened.
@LittleBoy footbag - It's allright, I wasn't offended by your post, and I can see how come you wrote it, since you say you have friends who would do something like that. However all of my friends have been really nice about all this and have been caring.
@Mosher - *hug*
@hacksterbator - You are right, writing it out helped get the fears out of me, and face that facts, that this actually happened.
@EVERYONE - Once again thanks for your care and support.

Hey, I have an update on the whole situation. Someone on my block happened to write down the license plate of the car. It turned out to be somekind of drug deal. Something about cocaine, I don't exactly know to much about that. But they found the two guys. They came from the suburbs. One of the guys is 17 and the other guy is 18. They were scared away when someone opened the door and screamed, which was most definetly my next door neighboor, since the car was right in front of their house. The two guys said, that they believed, that they killed both of the guys. They were not told by the detectives that one of them was in the hospital. speaking of the guy in the hospital, he's been getting better.
Well that's pretty much all I can remember for now.
@Hania - Mieszkam w Chicago az 15 lat. Przylecialem to kiedy mialem 2 lata. Ja tez tak jak ty, nie moge sobie tego wyobrazic, no ale jakos musze.
