or incorporate everything footbag related into the thoughts that I posted earlier? LIke stitching so it suggests that the guy stitched the bag himself? But only shredders would uinderstand. your 'friends' at the place may not.

I was also just thinking like some dude with this forlorn heartbroken look on his face, and he's concentrating on sewing this footbag, but the footbag is in the shape of a heart, but made out of panels so like a defformed 32 or something. You could have the footbag being reflected in his eyes too, and you could claim it was about how footbag helped people through hard times in there life when they were heartbroken... and then if you wanted you could have him in the backround but blurry and washed out so it's like a flashback, or future kind of thing, him footbagging with friends and so his heart is repaired.

These are awesome ideas! I am a painter as well, I should pick up some of these ideas later and try them out!

Heres an idea.

You live in Winnipeg, so you know all about four seasons and how they affect shred (some people nearer to the equator never see snow, ya know?) Why not set up a collage of you in the four seasons shredding? A different move for different season. You could blend the seasons together or you could have a very solid separator. This would end up looking like post modern art, you would have an entire harmony of color, including warm and cool color schemes. Just my two cents.

Also, about the critique that you are recieving from your class and teacher. I found out that in art classes, it doesn't matter what your teacher tells you to do, or says about your work. One of the things that he/she is trying to instill upon you is how to work with or through critique. Art is creation, and in order for you to maintain that creative influance upon your work, you need to be able to ignore the bad and digest the good. Your teacher may just want to see how you work under pressure from negative feedback. He/she may make it sound like you NEED to do what he/she says to get a passing mark, however, I will tell you here and now that this is not the case. Your teacher is more likely to be testing your courage and determination to create what YOU want to do.

So look beyond criticism, go for your dream, and leave the drama behind.

I also really like Nathan and Adam's. Maybe I will work all of these together. I have to start painting tomorrow. Bleh.
