Okay. So I preordered this game from ElectronicsBoutique. They said that it was coming out on the 12th of January. No problem.
They called me yesterday, and told me that they had a few copies in the store on pre-release, and that I may have one if I made it down there in time. No problem.
Atom drives me down there stat (thanks atom!!!) and I pick up the game. No problem.
We get it home, and play for hours. No problem. Then I continue to play for hours... no problem... more hours.... a... Maybe there is a problem!
I can not put this game down, this game is BEYOND any form of entertainment that I have experienced in my life. This is THE most amazing game of all time, hands down.
Graphics: 10
Sound: 9.5
Storyline: 10
Control: 10
Serious. Any gamecube owners out there, buy this game NOW. Any other console owners out there, im sorry.
Seriously though, this is an amazing experience, even if you hate Resident Evil, give this game a try. They have done some amazing things to this series to say the least. How many games out there pit you against a crazy villiage and a chainsaw toting mutha that lops your head off on a whim? (Atom can attest to this, he got his head separated from his body by said mutha twice!).
There are no cutscenes that you dont influance. For example, you wake up tied by the wrist to another human that isnt crazed, and you talk for awhile in this cutscene, then a viliager busts in the room and you start freaking out, the crazy lifts his axe and then on screen L+R shows up. So you gotta smack those buttons (during the cutscene) to move so that the axe cuts you free.
Freakin awesome.
And you can finally kick the bastards! You cap em in the knee, then run up and drop kick/hurricane kick/stamping side kick their asses.
It just an awesome experience. I love it.
Had to post.

World of Warcraft pales in comparison to this game. Over ten hours in, still being surprised by new and thrilling scenes. Storyline is great, enemies are superb, environments are more then I could even dream of.
Half done.
I love this game with all my being, and yes, I am a pretty big Nintendo geek. However, my thoughts on the DS is to wait awhile on it, so that the library expands and the price drops, cause 200$ is alot to shell out for a system with like 6 games.
But this game is freakin awesome.
A recent area that I have visited was a hedge maze. Throughout the course of traversing this maze, you can hear dogs running up and down the coridors beside you (thank you Dolby 5.1!) and they jump through the hedges at you. It's soooooooo scary.
In another part, you play as Ashley, the girl you are trying to rescue. She solves this puzzle (classic RE style) and then these suits of armor start coming off the wall and COMING at you. Weaponless, you need to avoid their longswords and axes. Freaky shizza.
Bosses are epic and frequent, the weather effects are amazing, and the light and shadows are as real as I could ask for.

BUMP
I just recently got hooked into this game. I play on the PS2 and its AMAZING. I've never been immersed in such good story and simutaneously excited/scared during gameplay. This could be my all time favorite game now.
I've passed it 4 times under normal difficulty and twice in pro mode (fucking injury!)
Random highlights:
-Fishing at the dock!
-Let me barracade myself in this house... WTF is that noise?
-Wait, did that just say suplex?!?!?!?!
-Chicago Typewriter BITCHES!
-Ladders are your best friend
-Surrounded in the house past the bridge
-Running too close to the pit of lava... can you believe there were 2 of those fuckers!?!?!
Still have not earned the Handcannon and need to finish Assignment Ada
So much to do...
