iMovie Help

Hey all. I am in the process of editing a video at school. I am using iMovie on a G5

I am having trouble just cutting things out, i am using the little tool that you drag to a selected part of the video and just cut it out. Is that the only way to do it?

Any tips for me on using iMovie would be greatly appreciated.

put the play head to where ever you want to cut the clip at. hold the apple key and then press "t". or go to the edit pull down and select "split clip at play head".

alright. That makes sense. But what is the play head?

the play head is the little thing that moves back and forth when you play/ rewind the video.

Alright im finally done editing my video. Now i need to know how to burn it on to a VCD or DVD?

how do i put it on a cd/dvd.

i just put it on a cd and it doesnt work..

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated
