I posted this in my footblog, but I figured more people would see it and respond to it here. . .
It's been a while since I posted. . .and an even longer while since I really played footbag. I guess I had quite the game for a while there. I decided I had other priorities that nedded my attention so I dropped footbag.
Last week I had to stay home because I was sick. I had alot of time to think and I realized I had made a mistake. At the time I dropped footbag it seemed like the best thing for my life, not any more. I was bored while at home so I decided to wacth a movie, my shred video collection caught my eye so I put one in, then another, then another. I realized that I missed playing, so I re-evaluated my priorities. It turns out what I had made more time for wasn't getting done, instead I had filled the time in with pointless activities. I've now decided to get back into footbag!
I'm so glad to be back on the forum and hope that you guys are glad I'm back too. I have one small problem though: Search found 1098 matches I don't have the time to go through 25 pages of search results to find out what I missed, so I was hoping you could fill me in.
I've been gone since the end of October. Could you tell me about any news, videos, players, events I might of missed? If you can think of anything I should now PLEASE tell me!
----Thanks alot----
I'm Back!!!
Sen this might belong in your blog aswell, but i saw this new topic,
and i thought why not post in there ?
In your blog you stated that you will concentrate more on your religious
life, and thus neglecting shred .
Of course time is a factor and you have to set priorities and whatnot,
but what do you think about all the holy men in the history of mankind,
who claim, you are with god all the time, not only while meditating.
Think of the difference of Moses and Jesus for instance, the first was
also worried keeping up his connection to God, while the latter simply
knew that EVERYBODY carries the kingdom of heaven within his own
heart ( so everybody is a son of God, Jesus was simply understanding
this on all levels of conscious all the time ; but he wasnt the only one...)
Enlightment and union with the benelovent spirit can be attained in many
ways, and look at Zen Monks, for example or Shaolin Monks, in their
religious life ,action, artistical expression and exercise all play interpending
parts in their daily lives.
All i'm trying to say is, that physical activity is rather helpful what ever your
main interest are, plus sport can also enhance/ produce spiritual phenomena.
It shouldnt be "either or" really , because man is not an insect and we can only become full beings, when we have a lot of things that
make us smart, fit, loving and happy !
Sorry for the lenght and the preachy tone, if your interested in this stuff
pm me and definitly read "Franny and Zooey" by J.D. Sallinger !
bye daryl
