do you hate your father as well?
do you hate your father as well?
i dont hate him, but man, he pisses me off, so i've got a car now, and will have a job soon, so i dont have a lot of cash, 15 or so in my wallet, i need gas soon, and he comes into my room and asks for five dollars, unfortunatley i need it for gas, so he gets really upset, slams a door real hard and when i come back to give him some cause he's just made feel kinda bad he screams..."I DONT NEED YOUR DAMN MONEY!!!" and starts telling me that everytime he needs somthing hes gotta jump through hoops to get it. yeah right. he woulda done the same damn thing, if id asked him for money, asked what i needed it for, and why i couldnt have gotten some from the bank earlier, then he woulda sighed and finnally gave in...much like what i did, also, he noted that he could have gone and gotten cash, but he didnt wanna make another stop...well i can see that, just cause you might have to make one more stop means that you should just take the money from your son...i can see that...
basically if id done what hed done to me, he would've yelled or lectured me about not having any money....errrrrrrrrrrrr...ok im done.....
I'm with Sergey...fuck adds

You should have given him the $5. What he would have done if you had asked him for the cash is irrelevant. If you want to do what he would do then go ahead and be just like him so that in 20 years your kid can get on the internet and post about how much he hates you.
Otherwise, be better and do something original.

I disagree about the first part. I don't know the background on the situation so I would be hesitant to make any judgments. I have some friends who know that their parents would spend the money on liquor, so I think in that situation you should not surrender 1/3 of your money for that cause. But yeah, if you hate what he does then don't do it back to him because things will only stay bad between you.Splint wrote:You should have given him the $5. Sometimes it really blows, but in a lot of situations it's better to be more mature than your parents.
EDIT: and, my dad and I used to really dislike being around each other. but as I grew up and realized that he's just like I am, except a little older with a lot more responsibility, and a lot less fun, we got along better.

I think my dad's a jerk, or rather was a jerk. He left my mom and her two children when I was one, I don't really remember him at all. But I do remember growing up without a dad. . .and for that reason I think my father was a jerk. He left us and went and had anoth couple kids with a different woman and then left them too and lived with his parents. He's dead now and that kinda sucks. . .About a month before he died he started calling and writing letters to me. We mostly just talked about the weather. I think he was a jerk for doing that too, because then when he died it was like I was just starting to have a dad in my life.
Not too keen on dad's.

well how about your mom? I can understand dads (this does not go towards anyone) because my dad's always stressed withour finances and all that but my mom just gets so menopausal on me for no fucking reason. Like when she was trying to help me and I said, thanks but I should learn to do this myself, she went PMS all over me and just left. She hasn't talken to me in about a day now and this is just her fucking way of her fucking pissing me off.
Sorry. this turned out to be a rant and i didn't mean anything to anyone. This is just my way of ventilation.

I know what you mean. Especially about the drama...
My dad, for the last few months, has been drinking himself drunk nearly every night. Don't get me wrong, I love him. However, he's much less pleasureable to be around when he's intoxicated... Then if you don't bend to his every wish, he becomes a whiny little bitch. He's become an alcoholic, and little better than his brother.
Every time I see him pick up his glass of alcohol for the night, I cringe...

thinking about the topic, I realized that today, I do hate my dad's guts like a mofo. I just went to get my haircut and my dad, being a fatheaded douche told me to leave all but 1 inch of my hair when I cut onl yhalf of my hair, which is like Dustin's, he beat me on the way back home. I now have a right eye that's been nearly taken by his fingers and a nose that's cloe to broken.
I'm sorry I posted that but it felt good to write it.

wow....file child abuse.
I would do that in a heartbeat if anything like that happened to me. But I guess thats easy for me to say. Anyways, it's still wrong if he hits you. And the scary thing is, most of the time, children grow up to be just like their parents.
edit: made it easier to read.

no I eventually figured it out that what doesn't kill me makes me stronger. he only does this once in a while and I've grown enough to think of it as 'advice' for when you grow up it works. and my bad if it sound slike child abuse. it's really for me, just a reminder of, "Don't even fuck that up again."

Ya know people are people. Whether it's your dad, your mom, teacher, brother, sister, friend, etc. everybody has there problems, some more severe than others. Even if your paretns beat you, harass you, make you feel like shit, you just gotta always respect them and obey them and I KNOW it's hard for all of us, and I'm probably a hypocrite for saying all of this. The best thing to do is to learn from their mistakes and use that to raise a better child. Make the best out of a bad situation, get a good education and start your own life.
Note: I don't mean to sound like, "oh it's easy", because sometimes it isn't and I've never really gone down that road, but that's my 2 cents.
and for all those people who have a good family life; BE GRATEFUL
