Puhh finally my english test is over, and I managed to set up my munich-footbag.de e-mail account here at the university. I also somehow achieved to log on to our account manage site and I made e-mail accounts for all of you guys. So now there is a [email protected] a [email protected] and [email protected] :) Instructions on how to actually use them follow soon :D Maybe I buy all that W-Lan stuff today so I can finally update our site!
Anyway Daryl give me a call about shredding on saturday or sunday. And Bjoern get your feet back to work, so we can shred it up in Prague in march.

Hey yo everyone,
amazing to hear what you guys are hitting. I didn't actually manage to play since Munich, which is of course extremely annoying. The books are heavy though and must be read at some point so I am preserving all my footbag energy to hit the all amazing, unifying 3-digit add trick. It will be called Schmidt Walk so all Germans can identify with it.
Until then I was wondering whether you guys got the email Eric Schaefer sent out and would be willing to overtake the Footbag Freunde Weiss Blau Club. It would be cool if you guys had a real "e.v." and maybe you could get some money as well for shred matts and spectators that cheer for any 5 add move or whatever.

Keep it up

Daniel Schuldes, is that you? *pssh* real name in signature *pssh*

Heyo! We've been planning to overtake the club for half a year now,
but Eric's time is quite limited, but we hope to get it done over the
next weeks.

He Daniel what's up in the UK? I challenge you to hit Pixie Illiusion bsos :)
And Bjoern, Eric wrote me an E-Mail and suggested that we can and should overtake the club since breaking it up is also kinda of expensive. So I think we should get thet done this or the next month.
Btw. I was so close to my first 4-4-4-4 combo =)

=) No I'm really not interested in going tripless, I don't even force myself into guiltless since I love doing illiusions or bubbas. Oh did I mention that I hit Atomic SS Legover on both sides yesterday night :D
And chck out that new video I posted!

Its so nice, that your are back online Max !
And shredding today after this weird week feels good too :D

Mr Hunter and me got in the mood to shred by watching the
Bea special he made.
What more can i say, besides that i feel happy and privileged
to be in the same team with her, and that she's even better
than she was on that kick ass, long over due video :D !

Today was combo day !
After the good old basics and flipside focused torture, i went for
a lotta combos, i havent tried or hit yet.
With basics i could increase the number of repetitions, like
clipper>mirage>legover rpt up to 4 times, but alt toestalls and
alt insides were only70/20
I also had a lot of fun with clipper, pdx mirages and butterflies ;
cons clipper went up to smashin' 8, on bothsides,< BRAG> and
flip butterflies were more often seen this session than in 5 months !
So finally i was able to hit butterfly>pdx mir on my flip too !
Relief.
And yeah, i hit ss butterfly first time, 3rd try, but i dont
see that as a new trick, since i dont really like all them bails.
Of course they are fundamental for some good tricks and
especially infinities and osii (?) are smooving out ones game,
but i love the deadly toe style better at the end of the day .

Flip pixie i also messed around with quite a bit, but not to my
satisfaction really ; but at least i found out whats wrong with
my flip pixie set, and i hit some plos later on.
Needs work, i want it to be consistent and on the spot .
 When's my birthday again?

immortal combat : weaving toe>diving toe bsos, zulu toe b2b ,
zulu toe>symp mirage> plo and my first 3-3-3 :
magellan>plo>symp mirage :D :D :D onesided, but genuine

Max was shreddin it up, world, but as we've all gladly noticed,
the man is back, being able to speak for himself forever more !
( and hopefully about all the stuff, the non Jaegers and the globe are
missing out on )

PS : BEA DU ROCKST !!!!
:P bye

Next time I visit my home in Bavaria I definately plan to visit Munich for some or one day ( depends on length of the visit in Bavaria).

I hope that you are all able to shred with me.

You keep a nice blog - it is really interesting to read about people's footbag stories and know who they are.

Good luck and take care

Bea, Daryl and I in our basement again. It was a really funny session and we all were in a quite positive vibe. Bea totally enjoyed playing again! She also played good. Practicing Ducking Butterfly and hitting Infinities midrun.
Daryl starts to become the toe ducking champ :) Zule, weaving, ducking and diving all he did midrun and sometimes even busted a pixie something after a duck. He also he some pretty good runs.
I wasn't that into runs, but I drilled stepping :D And it turned out to be sucessful! I hit Ripwalk > PDX Whirl on both sides. One one side it was so clean... I one run I hit Blur bsos, Ripwalk, Stepping Legover and Toe Whirl.
Then I did 4 Ripwalks and continued wit a run. And my right foot pixie is slowly coming back, but I have to be easy on pixie with right cause of my hip joint. Looking forward to Monday (or sunday Daryl ;))

Yep, thursday was fun :D
Its kool to have Bea back, she is fundamental to my shred morale !
NO matter what, she keeps me going, motivates me to get better all
the time :D
You know, Max and Bjoern do so as well, but they are on such a
different level ;
dont get me wrong, i'm always quite proud of myself ( stupid !),
when Max and me race to get a combo down, or when we're going
for some transient records.
But even if i'm on the winning side of things, i know immediatly,
that its always about something Mr Hunter has neglected or havent
even tried yet, which means, no matter the result, its wont be permanent.
( i gonna beat your ass at a new mirage>smear record this sunday, lol )

With Bea its a completly different story ;
i know, that she can play way better than me, but its far less scary .
Her bothsidedness and her wholestyle of playing are clearly superior,
but with some basics, we are on a similar level, so drilling several
elements with her is always fun and a challenge at the same time.

And i'm not playing footbag to better then the next person,
but if ur honest , certain competitive traits can keep u going !
Mike from Landshut and Bea are totally in my range and i'm
all set to take em down

As for the last session, i didnt manage to hit anything new or outrageous,
but bothsidedness, run length and consistency are somewhat improving...
I also begin to feel less limited nowadays and i get the idea what
"freestyle"could mean...
As Max said, all the ducking variations are pretty solid, and everything
combo wise is getting easier too...
i could increase the numbers of repetitions on certain combos, managed
to clear up others and all the ever elusive moves are really bound to be
mine soon...( flip magellan, flip same clip, rev. swirl, eggbeater...)
i hope i will hit my first stepping trick on sunday !
PEACE
... god i'm drunk

31. January 2005
Monday night gym session.
Beatrice, Mike, Daryl and I (Bjoern joined us at the end)

By accident the four of us meet at the station and we walked to the gym together. Around 18:45 we started to warm up.
Bea played quite consistent, she practised her Clippers and Butterflys with Daryl. He hit some new really good stuff, which I can't remember oops:
But I do know that he did 10 cons. clippers with his flipside! When Daryl has his clippers down his game will really start to take of!
I was glad to see that Mike's flipside Pixie has improved dramaticlly. He is really good with his right foot and now starts to give more love to his flipside.
Considering my game I should call that night the best session I ever had!
It started with the 19 infinities, and I'm sure I could have broken my record (20x ) but some backbag on the floor was in the way. Then I tried Atomic :D And I hit almost any trick (I can do) out of it on both sides. With the result that my former flipside atomic is now my strong one :P
I hit Atomic SS Legover, Atomic SS Mirage, Legbeater,; Atomic SS Butterfly, Atomsmasher. Bea also caught some of the action on tape.
And now for the best run in my entire Footbag career ok ok it wasn't that great compared to most other players, but still...
I don't know the exact run but I know what tricks I did in it:
Starting with Legbeater>PDX Mirage>Butterfly...Ripwalk>Ripwalk..Blur...DLO...PLO>PLO...Pdx illiusion...Butterfly>Whirl>Butterfly>Whirl
Ok thats all I can think of right now. Daryl plz continue...

nigga prease :D monday was such a wicked session !!!

to start off with some bitching, i feel free to correct Mr Hunter
saying we met by accident !
Boooo  it was fate, there are no coincidences on this middlearth !
this happened once before, while riding on the s bahn, that i
knew for sure that i'll meet the gang on the way and i did. :D
i'm an indian...i can tell

Gawd, i was so excited, when i met my crew, Max and me had a big
footbag conversation with a lot of shy grins, huge smiles and giggles .
Everybody was in a good mood, us two fanatics had secret plans,
Bea was back in full form and Mike enjoys shredding with us too,
since he's the only active player in his area at the moment.

We all started with some 'eavy drilling, working in shifting groups,
spotting form and cleanliness, counting reps and adds, and Bea
filmed Max shapeshifting into an atomic monster !

Fucking hell, he's so good now !
The first big leap Mr Hunter made in his game, that i noticed was
when we had a session at Bjoerns house ~3 months ago and Max
busted long ( avrg 25 contacts ) almost guiltless runs.
The next improvement where definitly comming from his dedication
to whirls and stepping ; more variety and more tricks.
Thus the runs got better too, plus he's always going for bothsided,
hard linked, nicely combined stuff anyway, its a pleasure to watch !
And all this new and highly energetic atomic stuff, his latest upgrade,
plus the aforementioned, fully justify the statement, that this monday
was his best session so far :D

Everytime Mr Hunter has a good time shredding, one can see that he
really understands footbag ;
its hard to explain..the form, the energy, the combos...there is many way how to play footbag the right way, but i like the fast, agressive and daring
style the best !
And this young man is one good example of that style i say :D

Boy, i had some fun in that gym.

For the first time, i got through my program pretty fast and y'all know
how good safe basics feel...
88 alt toes : mmh, that was my record already, why wasnt i man enuff to do at least one more ? 25 alt insides, 12 times toe>ins on both sides,
atw in>atw out rpt 5 each side.

Flip mirages took a bit of time ( i force my self to achieve a number of
reps for each move/combo, before i go on ), but it was good in a way.
For some minutes, i could only do 5,7 or damm 9 in a row;
many times i was close to the magic ten, and i thought, lets stop ,
you've done enuff.
But i kept on, defying all evil spirits and ended up with shitloads of
flip mirages for my muscle memory drive and a new, smashing record
of 11 flip and 12 strongside mirages :D

10 alt ducking toes, clip>mirage> egover rpt 6 times, 20 alt legover,
5 illusions each side, ducking clipper both sides, diving clipper.

I hit all my regular ( not involving xbody heelstall) 4 adds ;
bs smear , pixie ducking clipper>pdx mirage>run and dimwalk midstring .

Some combos also felt nice :D
illusion>zulu toe>symp mirage>plo>run
pixie ducking clipper>mirage>smear>run
zulu toe>pixie ducking toe>legover>symp mirage
magellan>plo>symp mirage

and my favorite : ) 9 con clippers ! nu record ! flip is better than strong !

There were also sweet moments with osis and whirl that i finally
managed to seal to something better than a stinkin' handcatch !

4 datws rolling off my foot :D  :? and i footed phoenix, twice
and Bea many times on both sides ...spinning clipper i'll get you today
for good.

And yess, Bjoern the Brave turned up towards the end of the session,
when we were all tired and sweaty and i realized how much
we actually need and miss the man .
Mike, Bea, Bjoern and me went out for a drink after training, something
that i highly enjoyed and i'd like to do more often.

I could go on for ages how much fun it was and how helpful training
schedules and drilling with Bea are to me, and how kool it was to
have Mike around, thanx for all the great tips and the combo/tiltless battles!, but i gotta stop now and get more stoned.

See ya in few hours, you Hunters !
peace

Yo i was lazy gawd !
I'm a little under the weather these days, my throat is sore and
my knee was pissing mye off lately aswell, i feel like i havent played in ages.
The last session i had was with Max in their famous basement
on sunday. It was a drilling session, and i focused mainly on string legnth
and style things ( sometimes my arms look like i got some fish attached
to them, who struggle to get back in the water ).

Ken advised me to go for runs with 20 or 30 contacts of tiltless shred before
moving on and that idea stuck. Before i worried about uniques and 3 adds too much, thus my runs seldomly surpassed 1o shaky contacts.
i guess i changed that last session with an average of 13 cons.

Otherwise Max helped with butters and pick ups, cause they suck ass and
i rarely do them and i also praticed stepping.
I beginn to understand the process and nature of the next step in my
game : everytime i was rewarded with a truckload of new tricks, it was
after hardcore basic ( of that level ) training, like i worked on all the base dexing moves and on pixie sets, and bamm i had pixie mirage, p.illusion,
plo, pixie clip ect.
Thats of course a great feeling, plus i had all that bs smaer and pixie ducking clipper stuff after for months and i some how expected to progress
at that rate forever. Stupid.

But after the last sesh my mind was made up and i see four things going
on now : 1. i neeed to improve contacts and form of all two adds
2.i need to make my 3 adds basics, like i said in a former sig.
3.all that next shit ( whirl, swirl, datw, dlo) are of course
apreciatably harder than the basic dexes and learning them
is twice annoying and twice rewarding :D
4. i need more sets ( stepping, atomic, fairy )

You might laugh at me for laying down such simple insights with that much
detail, but this is my blog party muthaf§%>az

The gist of all my selfish ramblings is probably that i realized, how much
work there is ahead of me to become anything near good.

But when i'm a little deeper in the matter of getting there, when i know
how to step and to whirl, oh boy, i will feel rewarded then. for a short time...

Max said something very interesting to me that sunday ; when we played
in the gym last time, and he had this massive run going, which we didnt record :x :x :x , he felt like a real shredder the first time.
I got it straight away, he was just as good and nice to watch like any
other intermediate player you see on this forum, for instance.
He didnt compare himself to any other player, it came across more like
he got initiated into a secret society by a footbag god called " IGOTZGAME "

Before i forget, 106 toes, 16 mirages, 25 insides, 20 legover,9 clipper,
15 tiltless and 1 million flip pixie problems.

I want more.

Monday all the troubles be so far away...i believe in mon-shred-days...

sincerly yours,
Malcolm Dex
