Paris Blog

Post by Leuch »

Yo!
After a few mounthes of hesitations, I've finaly decided to start that blog... Serge seems to post on this forum now, so I won't be alone here.. Arthur Ledain (cf The guy smelling his feet on Andrew's blog) will get internet pretty soon, so he'll post here too...
They are my 2 main shred partners..
I've started to play footbag it makes a bit more than 1 year 1/2, with Arthur. And Serge started 10 mounthes ago...
We shred pretty often (around 5 times a week) so we'll post here our feelings about our game, our new tricks, and everything... Hoping that it will interest someone!
Serge, you can't hide your progression to modified community.. You have to say EVERYTHING! ok?? He told me "Oh, no blog man, I don't want everybody know about my game!" but now, he seems to want a blog, so no lies man!! or btw, I'll tell them... if I remember...
It makes a while that I've not seen Fred or Pierro in this forum, but of course, this blog is open to the Unanime team, and Max and everybody from Paris... (we are not that much here... :( )

K, a big SORRY for all my english mistakes... for all the posts I'll do! I won't apologize any more...
See ya

Hey Charles,

Keep me updated with what's goin on in Paris ! I'm not sure when we'll meet next, I'm guessing you're not on the level where Steve Goldberg will fly you out to East Coast Tournies right [/sarcasm]? As long as you're enjoying the game, it doesn't really matter what level you're at. What have you been workin on lately, anything specific, or more generally about your game ? We'll have to meet up again at 4 square, at one worlds or another, and of course some shred !
More C4 please <3

Thx for those kind words guys and girl!!
So, to answer a few questions...
Daryl, no we are not brothers man! We just are friends, we don't live very far from each other (Arthur and Serg lives very close), and we're students... we go to faculty, so we have very cool schedules.. Actualy, I'm repeeting my 2nd year of faculty, so I have almost no lessons.. I had only 1 for the first half of the year, and now, I'll have 2!! So this gives me a LOT of time to shred.. but my mates are not repeeting, and succeed to shred 5 times a week...
I also have a little job to make money, and make me wake up every morning.. (I would sleep all day long, and then shred without this job). I'm a "school supervisor" or "school prefect"... This is not a too dificult job, I like kids, so I just go there, talk with a few nice kids, and give punitions to the bad ones!! It's pretty funny...

Mr Grant! yeah, Serge is in da place! Shred symp--> 3 dexes combos... Nice French man! It looks you're getting better each time! This post was cool!! but... we're not really 10 shredders here... Here is the situation: Arthur, Zerg and I play very often... then, Fred plays pretty much too, around 3-4 times a week I would say, depends of his work, his back, and many other things, and we rarely play with him now... maybe once a week @ the parking.. Then Max kicks once a week, Pierrot, once or twice a week, with huuuge breaks since the beggining of winter, Franck once a week during good weeks, and Grischa once a week (but he plays net too)... Benoite has been pretty serious kicking twice a week, EVERY week.. she seems motivated... So actually you're right, we're around 10, but I really feel we are 4 and a half playing seriously... but this is due to winter.. Waiting for summer!!!! To shred everywhere!!

Hood! It's always nice to hear/read from you!! You should ask Steve about this East Cost Tournie! if he has too much tickets, i'm IN!
I'll whrite about my game latter, I have to go now.. Are you planning to come to Europe this summer with your crew??? Worlds? Euros? Both?

Nice to see you here Arthur- Welcome!

I am very pleased to be able to read about the scene in Paris - thanks.
I really wanted to visit Paris for the RNH Contest but the Frankfurt Footbag Club jam is at the same time - that's sad that two events are on the same time.

Moreover it'll depends also on the factor X ( money/ university ) if I can travel to a tournament.
Unfortunately this factor always stopped my goal of participating on 5 tournaments each year.

Today's session was crowded for a winter day. We were 6 in total and kicked at a regular spot we go to when we have nowhere else to play : a train station, la gare Montparnasse.

It was freezing and my concentration wasn't at its top level so I didn't play really well. No new tricks, but I hit toe set blur BSOS and DOD BSOS for the first time (I think). I did a lot of quantum sets and they felt ok, I'll try to insert more of them in my shuffle from now on. Links like shuffle>blur>toe set blur>shuffle are really stylish.
Charles hit his first blurriest today, so he might wet his bed tonight.. :P
Chickentut hit some doublespins for the first time.
Frankystyle was also representing. I think he had a decent session.

I still have two exams, tomorrow and tuesday, and then I'll be on vacation, but only for 5 days... I might visit some friends in Lyon for a couple of days.

Hey Andrew, thanks for the welcome! Hello to Hania and Flavio too, and everybody else..

Ah... here is Zergio!!
Hmm Andrew, thx, this is not my first triple dex.. I've already hit Pixie Double Leg OVer a few times... I have to get more triple dexes... but it sooo hard!

Yeah Doctor Jay, we were all surprised to don't see you at French open, we tought you were coming! Too bad it was the same day than Franckfurt jam.. we didn't even know it... I think you've missed a crazy week end man...But you'll come next year right??
Actually, you're talking about RNH contest... You've missed French Open, hosted by RNH, but the RNH contest is still to come: 26-27 February...

No more Hania's post here??? :( Why? Btw, I don't really believe you...

Ok, I have an exam tomorrow too, so I can't whrite too much... I'll talk about my game later (again..).. even if there is not much to say...
Tonight, probably RNH kick, if I study enought...

Yo!

This Session monday at RNH was pretty cool.. It's in a gym, which is with the friday night, the only day we have a gym... SO, in those winter days, it is VERY appreciated!
There are there around 10 net players, and a few freestyle/net begginers.. Panini who is twice french freestyle champion was there, Serge, Jire, Grischa (almost only net on monday), Sidart (from California, he's living here since 3 years I think) and a few begginers as I sayed... This Panini (Cyril) is so hardcore.. He almost doesn't play anymore, he kind of droped footbag, but he keeps coming sometimes on Monday to play a bit with us.. He is very very talented, he is 18.. I f he hadn't droped footbag 1 or 2 years ago, we would be soooooo good now... I think he is still the best french player... but not for long..
I was so happy coming back to home, not to study, but cause I've traded a bag of mine, with a Carolbag!! It's a very good bag, and can't wait to shred with it, probably this afternoon.. Sidart has bought it from here during Xmas, and he just said "hey, I trade you a carol bag if you want!".. So surprised! So cool!!

Well, now I have a bit more time, so what about my game, my goals... I'm trying to play guiltness, and I'm starting to do pretty long runs, with a few 2 adds... I want to erase praticulary a mirage that I do pretty often and a leg over too.. I have good pixies on one side, easy osis, and butterflys, ripwalk both sides (my current record is 11.. I'm working on it), blur sidewalks stepping osis and stuff like that bsos, Drifer and Torque good, flipside is still not good.. Spins, dives and ducks mostly one side again... whirls bsos, dlo one side, paradon barfly one side, some atomic sets like leg beatter tap, atome smasher... getting a good flipside on this.. some blenders, and I think I'll stop here...

So before spring, I want a good flipside drifter, torque, duck, dive, paradone, dlo and spin.. and no more 2 adds...That's all I want... After, we'll see what I can do for a flip Pixie...

A little thought for Zerg who cannot play cause he's ill... Ohhh..

Cool!
