haha I saw that in the new runs thread... you win. What about osis>far osis rpt? I'm gonna see how long I can do that tomorrow.
More potential stylers in town, eh Pat? And chicks at that. Are they the two girls that stopped by when we last kicked there? Do your best... I've found it can be amazingly hard to get people to stick with it for very long. Have they tried playing at all yet?
I tried stitching a bag today, out of old cloth I had-- just to get the hang of it and see how difficult it was. It wasn't as complicated as I thought, although I only got 10 or so panels together before I realized how misshapen it was turning out, and gave up. Maybe I'll get some of that ultrasuede light sometime and give it a shot.
And from now until May, the best days for me to go out there (RIT or Naz or wherever) are thurs-fri-sat-sun. Maybe we should agree on a weekly time when we're all free, and make it our standard shred day.

Yeah chris!!! You need to stitch with me so I can have someone to go off of and keep me interested! Oh and I've decided if and when I stitch my first descent bag(s), I'll name them Legball 32's. . eh? eh? Or something with the letter R in it since um. . . rochester. yeah.
Yeah they are the two girls you and steve met. They tell me they'll definitely stitch if I can give them enough information to start them out. But they claim they'll do freestyle too. They're really "shy" so they say they need me to lend them a bag so they can play without me watching first and then be able to kick it a few times before I can play with them. . . I don't think that's a good idea at all but if I force it they'll freak out on me and I'll never get them to kick. I'll do my best. When they come back to campus sunday afternoon I'll show them that new video with Beatrice. I was like, "Yes. . you know you people have your own footbag SITE!!! It's called shreditas.com! Isn't that COOL?" but she lacked the codecs to download the videos I wanted to show her. Oh well.
And my vote for the meetings is thursday and saturday. . Or friday and saturday. Thursday and saturday would be better I suppose to allow one day in between for me to skool any new things and/or rest and then come in all prepared or rested for another session on saturday. Wednesday is the best day of the week for me.

Me and Steve both have no classes on Friday so I'm good any time. Thursay is bad, class till 9:30.
Friday at 4 seems good to me, or earlier if need be.
Tonight I modded my shoes some more, removed all the leather, and made it so my insoles fit in a lil better. Then I colored them black, and added in the tube mod to open up the walls... but I'm probably just going to cut the damn things off here soon.
Then i tested them out some.. nothing to fancy, but i managed to hit inspinning clipper from my flip clipper, far set reverse whirl, and just a bunch of tiltless runs which 3 out of every 5 were 20+ contacts. Long tiltless strings with a lot of uniques are really easy to hit now. GLASS in 2 weeks!!! Matt you better be drinking lots of fluids, and getting lots of rest. You need to be in decent shape for GLASS.

I kinda wish I had gotten leather lavers. . Buuut my green ones are still in way too good condition to just scrap them. Not that I would do that anyway. For not only are lavers good footbagging shoes, they are also very comfortable and stylish.
2 weeks!? Oye vey. Must. . . get. . . flip . . pixie.

why do you wish you had leathers?
can I get a car check again for GLASS? Me, Pat, who else? Aric +friend? one more person? I think Paul, my roommate, wants to come, and so does Paul Agostinelli, in his own car. If it's me, pat, aric +friend, and paul the roommate, my car is full.
who else? anyone?

NICE session with pat and steve at Nazareth today. Seen steve hit a couple nice moves, props to him! Pat also had some nice strings and i think a paradon...? My strings were decent, lots of long strings with lots of midstring quantum. Finally hit pixie merlin.. but the 3rd dex was the.. but i know how to fix that now so shouldnt be a problem to clean that up. I also managed to hit inpinning osis.
Best part of the night was impressing pat 3 female friends, and a random couple of jugglers. Always good to receive props from the non-footbagging community.
Finished the night off with some tasty Pontillo's pizza... man they have good pizza!!
Matt I'm not sure if i'll be riding with you this time, I might wait for my friend to drive here to Roch. and then 2 of us will drive to toronto.. but she wont be here till at least 5 30 on friday
We still have some planning to do but were running out of time.. Ill try to have specifics by monday night.

Thanks for the good review, aric, but I really didn't do well at all this session. Don't know why. But, on the bright side of things, I got some tips on how to do an eggbeater and I guess I'm close to spinning pdx mirage. I had it cupped in my toe box twice.
I'm obviously still going to GLASS but I'm going up alone. I have to go to Queens university to camp out with a friend of mine who goes there. That's where I'll be for the weekend. So Everyone will have to keep me posted where the sessions will take place as the days go on and on and on. I'll make them. Don't worry. But I DID promise my friend Chris that I'd meet some of his awesome Canadian persons. Tom, you know Chris. Matt, I'm pretty sure you met him when you went up there to legtwist with the whole community.
Pretty sure that's all so I'm going to finish off this thing of juice and get to some homework.. . . And try my best not to come back to this forum to watch videos. It's sooo hard. But that's half the battle. And battles are fun.

Oh snap!
. . well
I'll be there. Just need to find some time to go to kingston then. Just won't be camping with the Queens people. And that'll be costly for gas I'm assuming. D'oh. <Dramatic cry as I reach toward the setting sun> . So I guess I've got a car if anyone needs a ride. And I'll have to re-read the posts of the plans as of yet about where we end up. Mapquest.com will be the savior for this trip.
Thanks for the heads up, though. That would've been a kick in the nuts.

first off, steve, your avatar rules. I've seen that one before, it's mesmerizing in a troubling kind of way.
second off, I just wanted to post this picture from worlds really quick... it's me, Mike Anello, and Mike Strumpf. Before those two guys, there was one named Tom B who kicked in Rochester for a little while, but right here are the 3 guys who really got the RFA going. I don't think that had occurred to me since I took the picture, but it was really cool being in montreal for the championships with those two...

I thought of this because I just read Mike A's post about hosting a video for Ryan Thomas, and i thought, once and RFA member, always an RFA member... just wanted to post that real quick

Speechless. Honestly? I don't know how I'm expecting to have a fun time playing footbag if I never make it out to any of the events. This sucks. . . Yeah I can't go. Can't even type. Leaving. Breakfast.

just thought I'd post some pics from chilly philly...

good times...
I'm still sick with mono. the only thing that's really wrong at this point is the congestion, which is constant, except when I'm playing footbag, but as soon as I stop kicking, it's right back again... so that sucks. showers help too, but there's no permanent relief... I'm sitll thinking I'll be better by the time glass comes around...
I've been playing in climacools the past few days, I got the clima I's. right now they're totally unmodded, and I'm playing pretty well in them. it's only a little bit harder than playing in lavers with no toe walls, the clippers are actually taking a bit more adjustment than the toes, but that will improve once I fill in the gap with shoe goo. I like playing in them, and I really like how much healthier and lighter they feel than lavers. Tom's been raving about his. I can't wait to get into a real session with these.

still coming down from the mono... head is slowwwwly clearing up... should be fine for glass, I've been kicking around in my climacools the past few days. as soon as my heart rate gets up and I start doing some tricks, my nose clears up entirely, both sides open right up, but the second I stop, at least one of them clogs immediately... I think I might have to make some temporary changes in my lifestyle choices so I can make this thing go away faster... every day's a little better, though.
i recorded a new song I wrote the other day. if anyone wants to hear, send me a PM or AIM or hit me on MSN or something. I think it's pretty good. I recorded it in the living room, just voice and acoustic guitar with no effects or dubs or anything, very raw. It's about TV and it's effect on my society as I perceive it.
