Ok, here's the thing. my girlfriend is big into drama (she does plays and musicals at her school constantly), and she is currently in a musical for school (Into the Woods, dunno if anyone knows it) that involves a kissing scene, obviously with a guy thats not me. i knew this would happen someday, so i braced myself for it, and vowed i would support her in it and not bitch about it. so, thats what im doing, even though its fucken KILLING me. i dunno...the thought of that...its seriously painful to think about. but im still not even mentioning the fact that it makes me sick to my girlfriend, because she reminded me that its just acting and its not a big deal.
So, am i being irrational and insane to still be extremely bothered by this (i mean, come on...all the rehearsals...practicing over and over again...then me having to see it performed?!!? *shudders*)?? or do i have the right to be at least slightly uncomfortable with this? i want both female and male opinions on this, and if anyone thinks its an interesting enough question, feel free to put in a poll. but if no one answers it...dont bother.

chill out, kiddo. your girlfriend's into drama, this kind of thing happens. it's a high school play, they're not going to be making out, and there's gonna be no romance about it. imagine how hard it would be to be romantic in your school auditorium with hundreds of parents and younger brothers and teachers and everyone watching you.
you need to take a deep breath and talk yourself down from freaking out about it. it's good that you haven't given your girlfriend a hard time about it. it's definitely not a big deal, just go to her play, watch her kiss the dude, and it will be over. it's just acting, and it's just a little kiss.
and, on a separate note, to LBF... if your girl cheats on you with some other guy, it's not his fault, and kicking his ass is definite bad form. it's not his responsibility to give a damn about you, and if your girl is the infidelitous type to go out and do something like that, she's the problem, not the guy she does it with.

if the guy enjoys it, beat the crap out of him. if he acts like it's acting, cool. Personally, I'd just not give a crap. If she digs you a lot, a kiss from anothr guy that's acting, won't hurt her....it's pretty ok to be uncomfortable. meh...
whoops, I didn't mean to sound like one of those snotty jock-type douchebags who, if you look at their girlfriend, you'll be breathing through a tube later on that day. My bad matt......BTW, i was saying that if the guy takes it farther than acting....what would YOU do? If you gf is acting as if it was routine in the paly, which it is BUT the guy takes it farther than she would have expected.....just a worst-case scenario...sorry I always tend to do these scenario thingsLBF... if your girl cheats on you with some other guy, it's not his fault, and kicking his ass is definite bad form. it's not his responsibility to give a damn about you, and if your girl is the infidelitous type to go out and do something like that, she's the problem, not the guy she does it with.

while i do see matt's point completely, and actually agree, if my girlfriend did actually cheat on me i probably try to kick his ass just to make myself feel better, even though i realize its immature and unfair. to thine own self....LittleBoy footbag wrote:if the guy enjoys it, beat the crap out of him. if he acts like it's acting, cool. You fuckers...
Seriously though... I can see why that would freak you out. Because it's a play, don't worry about it.
worst case: If she ditches you, You have my regards. But it's probably better that happens now than later.
best case: life happens as usual. You tell her about the dislike and she makes it up to you (NO SMARTASS REMARKS SAM!)
