Montreal Jam
Montreal Jam
Looks like Yax isn't very interested in doing the challenge this year, so I was thinking about doing some sort of informal jam, inspired by GLASS.
Would there be any interest in this happening? Sometime springish, I believe.
I have some small crash space, and we can find a hostel, and get some nice indoor spot.

YO YO YO, im bringing this back up to date. Me, Nick, Claudia and other montrealers want to organize a JAM. We were thinking the end of May, but I wanna ask the players (you modifiers that will all be comming) when is best for you. Also, there are a few things i wanna ask.
This will probably sound weird, but i have a cottage in montreal, its on an island, and when your there its like its up north or something. There is also a town hall on the island, which is just basically a big open building, with an OK floor for shredding, and also a sun porch which could probably be shredded on, ive gotta go back there to make sure i remember correctly. My cottage only opens in the beggining of may, because a ferry goes back and forth, and thats the only way of getting there unless you have a boat. The lighting isnt that great, but i think we could figure something out. Also there is a public pool there but that opens only around june i think.
We plan to have this JAM on some weekend...friday, sat, sun....
We would shred in the city outdoors (if weather is good), and spend most of the JAM in the city, but i was thinking maybe one night we could have an all night shred and party at my cottage.
so my questions are...
-would people like to spend one night shredding and partying at my cottage at the end of may, with probably no pool to swim in?
-would people like it to be a bit later, like maybe middle of june, and we could do the same thing, and also have a pool (we could night swim probably) or swim in the evening. and shred and party there too at my cottage.
-or would people just want to stay in the city and party there every night?
ill update you guys again, when i learn more about this, i just sorta want a general opinion for now.
thanks in advance

Claudia just got me all psyched up for this!
She made the cottage idea sound amazing, I am game for shred/party up at the cottage.
I think the pool would be a definate plus however, especially for overheated shredders.
Whatever you guys decide upon I will be there!
Remember, if you build it, they will come.

alright cool, i like the responses. The cottage is just an "idea" nothing final yet, but i should be able to make sure everything is fine with it, at the beggining of may. But the JAM should happen regardless of the cottage thing working or not. Also im saying i will be able to host a few people, probably around 6-7-8 maybe, but i do live in the west-island which is NOT downtown montreal, its like a 30 minute bus ride from the metro. So ya, once we figure out whats happenin with the JAM ill be able to confirm stuff, like dates, (right now im thinking maybe mid june might be better for people) and i'll also be able to confirm who's comming and stuff, and also who can stay at my house.
P.S. THIS WILL BE AWSOME, and if you attend you will be a part of footbag history forever!!!!!!!!
also, if youve got any ideas for the JAM or suggestions just post them here please, thanks
