yo josh,
before Derelict becomes the accepted name for this move, would you consider naming the downtime component, and not the whole thing, and then calling it pixie something something? I don't think I've ever seen a butterfly swivel before, so you could name that without having the set included, leaving the same name to have other sets in front of it, like atomic butterfly swivel, or just far butterfly swivel.
I just hate it when I see "set + downtime component" getting it's own name, and then "different set + same downtime component" getting a different name. it just opens the door to a whole mess of overnaming.
or rather, the door IS open to a whole mess of overnaming. maybe we should start taking steps to close it. like just naming new downtime components, such as this totally rad one you've invented (as far as I know).

Hey, thank you all for taking the time to view and for the props. Much-o appreciated.
Aric - I'm working on it. Haha, I don't play as much as I used to so just give me some time. It's all good.
Matt - You have a very good point, and I completely agree with you. I've actually thought about calling Toe Armageddon something else for the exact same reasons, but never got around to it. As for Pixie Butterfly Swivel, my friend, Nate, and I just started calling it Derelict to shorten the name. Maybe the downtime component (Butterfly Swivel, that is) should be named, like you said. Although I'm sure someone like Allen Haggett has hit it.
Mosher - Wow, man. You listen to Darkest Hour? You just made my day! I had no idea any other footbaggers were into any hardcore at all!

okay, I emailed Allan, he says he has hit this downtime component before, and he didn't tell me what the name was, so I'm assuming it's just butterfly swivel.
I guess it really doesn't matter what you name your move, but I'm gonna call this and it's variants "set+ butterfly swivel" myself.
let me just reiterate that this is an absurd move and you're a crazy freestyler and it's fucking awesome that you invented this trick. That's the more important point of this thread to me

Haven`t seen the vid yet... gonna do a vid watching binge later this week.
But yeah, downtime butterfly swivel has been hit by Allan Haggett since at least 2000. Before 2000 worlds he put out a video of him hitting stepping far butterfly swivel, so like ripwalk bailed to twirl. I wonder if he has hit this trick before? His pixies are pretty good, and he`s the kinda guy who doesn`t post about everything he hits (like, he was the first to hit gary coleman and in marius ages ago, but never `claimed` them). Anyway, props on the trick if it`s clean. Sounds mad hard.
Edit: sweet trick! Looked clean to me... but where`s the seal at! Seriously though, while I love seeing new, huge tricks, I think it would be more exciting to see them in a Sick Trick contest in the OnlineSick3 forum. I mean, while this trick was cool, and Jamez`s new trick was cool, wouldn`t it have been awesome to see them in a contest and vote? Just a thought.
