I fixed my climas thanks to derrick's rotary grinding tool!!

I havn't used them yet.

I just finished a new 32.

I did it in one sitting. I started at 10ish and cut out the panels, I just finished it up and it is 5 AM.

I made the bag out of the facile that Felix gave me. It's so neat thinking that if I weren't using it, this material would be a felix bag!

That also reminded me of the thought I always have at the grocery store. do you ever wonder who is going to buy what and what they will do with them?

"I wonder if that carrot will be juice or stew.."

Emily K watched me finish up the last few panels of the bag, it must have been so boring.

I am so tired. Must go sleep.

OH! Liane and I have plans to hang out on Tuesday for ice skating/snow fun. I am going to suggest we dig out some snow piles and make forts.

PS GLASS is in a week! :D

Naming Bags:

I used to be so obsessed with the intricate relationships between my various footbags. I was so concerned about which bags would get upset by which actions and stuff. I was always afraid one would get jealouse if I hung out with another. But now I have WAY too many footbags to keep up that mental soap opera.

Hmm. I wonder how many I have..

I am going to count how many bags are sitting directly around me... ok.. 9 within arms reach.. and the total makes it to 31 if I count the ones on my shelf.

That is way too much drama to keep up with!

Mean Girls:

I saw the saddest thing last night.

I was at a fast food restaurant (rhymes with rick ronalds) and there was this annoying dude talking to everyone. I figured he was just some drunk dude, he was chatting with all the people in line and just sorta loafing about killing time I guess. Anyways, he seemed nice enough, well.. too nice for me, he was all 'hey bud! blah blah I'm high-strung, wierd and really eager about something you just can't quite put your finger on' or something.

Anyways, I ate my DEEEEEEEEEElicious meal (two cheeseburgers and an iced tea) and then headed for the door. The annoying dude was leaving at around the same time as me. He loudly said goodbye to everyone as if it was some big event that he was leaving. I reached the door right as he was about to head out and I realised that he had just asked this one staff girl for her number. I heard her giving it and then he and I went out through the double set of doors, he was a few feet ahead of me and sadly that difference meant that I was able to just hear a co-worker exclaim 'I can't believe you just did that!" to which she replied "What!? I do it all the time!", I realised that the co-worker wasn't shocked that she gave that wierdo her number, but that she gave him a FAKE number.

It gets worse, so he didn't hear their little exchange because he had made it through the second door. I got out to the street and had to painfully hear him repeating her number over and over excitedly like a fucking fool.

It made me feel so sorry for him and for my lame ass for totally having that done to me TWICE by the same girl.

I definately believe now that Megan did that to me.

What a fucking twat, she has NO idea what she is missing.

Oh well, I bet she was real boring anyways.

Both Sides:

A few weeks ago something really cool happened to me. I was in the cafeteria at school and this guy came up to me. He was a nice guy named matt that is a freestyle soccer player. He has come out to a few KFM meetings but just played soccer.

His reason for coming up to me was to thank me for pushing both sided thinking when I first met him! That was so exciting! He said that he has been applying it to all sorts of things in his life and he was very thankful. How cool is that?

32 Panel Footbags:

... are magical. I made another one. I made this one entirely out of panne, it is a traditional white/black soccer ball. I wonder how it will play.

Oddly, despite having used the same templates for all my bags they are all WAY different in size.

My most recent one is the biggest and the one before it is the smallest. :?

Oh well, they look great.

Mwahahaha, I love 32's!! I have so many now!

Why don't girls just say "I'm not interested." when asked for their number? It hurts a lot less than the humiliation of a straight-up wrong number.

I hadn't realised that Megan had done tha twice Tom, that sucks. And you're right, she doesn't know what she's missing yo.

All the best.

ya tom the size does vary becuase of how deep you stitch, and how hard you gather. well this is what i have found with my few bags. johnny and I tried correcting bag size with the size of the panels...oh well he has it right on the money now. how much do you gather Tom, between 1 and 10? (1 being no gather-10 being the most gather possible)

10.

er.. I aim for 10 and it usually comes out between 9.4 and 10.

I realised that bag size would be determined by these factors, I just thought it was wierd that they were all coming out SO differently yet round. Because that means that I am using a consistent depth and gather throughout each bag (thus the roundness) but I suppose I chose a different depth for each one.

ACTUALLY, I now think that it is largely due to the materials I was using.

I think my panne bags come out slightly bigger because it is harder to cut around my templates as closely with the sloppier material.

BUT I thought my panne bag was going to come out SMALLER than my others because I was stitching it really deep to make sure it had a good hold on the panne. (if you go too shallow the panne runs and the bag is ruined)

I made a 4-panel for Stephen Barnes like.. two weeks ago or something. I never sent it out because I never remembered to fill it. I wasn't 100% happy with that bag, I know I have stitched better bags so I never mailed it out. I finally went and finished it yesterday and in the filling process I gave the bag a run in the panne and ruined it. UGHGHGHGH frustration!

I have plans to shred with Camille and Adam from TO today, ssiiiiick!

Hey, since we're doing this in a church shouldn't we call it Stained GLASS?

Yo!
We so shredded at the friday/sunday GLASS/chan spot today!

It was me and camille and adam gbag.

They were a bit tired and burnt out from a long day of running around doing things that I had hoped to be able to help in doing but couldn't because I was busy at home working on fixing my computer with my mom and napping and writing extraordinarily long run on sentances.

I am really sleepy and I have to go to bed but here is my fave highlight of the night.

This is my transcrpt from the last four times the bag came around.

- blurriest first try
bag circles
- blurriest second try other side
bag circles
- blurry whirl bsos for my first time
bag circles
- blurry whirl bsos again
call it a night

yessssss

This weekend when I was at home my dad asked me if I could leave a footbag for the family to play around with. I was so surprised! I was also surprised that I hadn't thought to do that.

Wait.. In retrospect I had thought about giving my family footbags for christmas as gifts but I was afraid they wouldn't.. I don't even know.. I guess I figured they wouldn't use them.

But now my family is on an awesome health kick!
Being honest, they are all over-weight and it is actually kinda sad. I just know that they all wish they could lose weight *somehow*. They have tried every kind of diet and wierd strategy. But now they have a new weapon that is actually working! They bought a BowFlex X-Treme and they frigging love it!! They are all ACTUALLY using it and working out hardcore!

My parents are already really active, they play tennis regularly and stuff but I think this will really be the edge they need to get the bodies they want. I am well aware of how much I emulate an infomercial right now but I don't give a sack because my family is going to get so fucking ripped and that is amazing.

I love to see how happy it is making them. My parents are the best. Now they have a footbag too!

When my Dad asked for the bag I ran right to my backpack and picked out a nice broken in 4-panel for my parents to keep. It was a white/blue one. I tested all the ones I could part with and decided it stalled the nicest, only the finest for the Moshers!

They are coming to GLASS too! I should get them some lavers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BEST IDEA EVERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know at least my mom used to wear Lavers back when they were a popular tennis shoe!

It would be so cool if my parents liked footbag! In my kitchen my dad was trying and trying to get toe stalls! he got some too!

hahah I love my parents so much.

ok, this weekend is GLASS!!!

what a thrill ride!

there are so many people confirmed, I can't believe what is about to converge upon Toronto.

I was just thinking that I have had sessions with almost everyone that is coming at different times and this is an exciting time to get to have a great huge session with all of them at once!!

I have fond memories of shooting southward to jam with the boys in rochester. There have been several trips out to Ottawa for sessions, great jams with all the GTA shredders like FAT and the awesome Brantford boys and tons of other shredders from all over and now so many of them are about to be united for one (three really!) big huge session together.

It makes me so happy thinking that the work we put in will make so many people happy! A bunch of people helped alot in making all the pieces fall together. I am amazed how well organized Camille and I got it all!

Check this out, the GLASS t-shirts are being screened tomorrow and I have sitting here next to me a pile of pins ready for GLASS. :D
Yesssssss.

The coolest ones are the BSOS and the 32 Panels ones. I will post a picture ASAP to get people psyched.

Hey, this is a footbag diary right? ok, footbag talk.

I played today with Jared.

Get this, he hit his first illusion and then in the same string he hit it on the other side. So that was BSOS first times. I have trained him well.

I hit some new stuff! (I love getting to say that!)

I hit pixie legbeater both sides!

The seal on the second one was one of the funnest rides I have been on in a while. I was kinda off balance and the set out of the trick wasn't the highest but I HAD to catch it. I was falling kinda back away from the bag but I swooped my arm down to grab the bag and I wound up totally spinning like a top on my tushy!

That was fun.

I also shot out some really stylish looking 'moshing' sets.

hahaha, I don't even know if it's been done before but as soon as I get my foot on the butterfly out of it I will have a new set! whee!

Also, I found out today I can do Jordens symp quantum quantum set.

Also, my new set is fucked up and you will all freak when you see it, I can't even believe I can do it. I was SO close to butterfly from it today.

I am going to try to hit e-walk bsos tomorrow. That and maybe ripstein. It seems my right foot ripsteins are not too hard.

I footed pixie ss double down both sides first try today.

My ducks and spins suck crap. I still want so badly to love them. sigh.. one day.

I realize that I just have to drill my high clipper sets more. I seem to play with a rhythm that is more condusive to shuffle and paradox type things.

Speaking of which, I frigging love pdx whirls and barflies.

I tossed out a few beesaucers of thems today.

aw crap, my fingers are way tired. I think I may have just written alot, I forget.

Your "tush" is your bum, and a moshing set involves jumping into the air and flailing your legs at an inhuman speed until your knees bend backwards. Only the severely double jointed would even attempt to 'mosh'.
