Who is going from Canada?

What are you competing in?

Does anyone think they can out-drink the finns?

Cheers

First: No-one (exept Russians maybe) can out-drink Finns.

Second: Do not ever challenge a Finn to a drinking competition. That can get physical.

Third: The legal age for buying under 20% alcohol from stores and anything from bars is 18 years.
The legal age for buying spirits from stores is 20 years.
And yes, they do care who are they selling to.

Ok, please tell me this is a joke. THere *NEEDS* to be more canucks at this years worlds...

Anyone? Im assuming Manu and some other montrealers are going, and probably a couple of net players from van, but no reps from the freestyle community? How will Canada ever start to dominate freestyle like Manu has at net? (mind you with that vasek kid, that could be quite challenging)

Calm down.... worlds is not tomorrow... Most of the Canadian players who are probably going don't check modified every single day.

I'm guessing at least these canadians will be there,
Nick Laroche
Ellis Piltz & Caro
Dylan Fry
Yacine Merzouk
and at least one more from Montreal, who's name I can't remember right now. Sorry if I spelled any of your names wrong.

Drinking?

Post by footbinc »

Hey Anssi,

Get Physical? Really? I can believe it! I remember drinking with a bunch of you finns in van 2000, and we started talking hockey and i was trying to explain how Jari Kurri was my favorite as a kid and Janne Niinima was my current fav player and someone refused to believe me, thought I was making fun of finns and hockey and was downright upset. I dont remember who, but it was kinda funny that he went kinda insane about it. Mind you this was after 8 beers maybe, so i can see why I should never challenge a finn to a drinking contest ;)

Guess again, I know at least one person on that list who is 99% not going.

Yup :D and finns don't need to be drunk to get physical when talking about ice hockey (or doing anything with swedish people).

A word of advice: Turku´s posse is even worse.
(Naah, not really. Really we are quite calm guys. Except Anssi when he is having a hangover.)

Sorry this is totally off topic but I was able to find a summary of Finnish training program. I bet russians also use some training methods of this. (This is just to help you to get in "summer condition" )
