Wow, that's a lot of stuff to acomplish, don't get all that stuff too fast though, I have to be able to stay in sight of you.

Oh and thanks for posting and also for starting a new page. I was really getting pissed off at the 2nd page for being soo long. . And I don't like the first post of the second page and that's the one we all have to look at first. It's not very good.

And I forgot to post a few awesome pixie tricks I'm hoping to hit. Those would be my flip Maverik and perhaps spinning from my other clipper. I may actually see if I can spin off of my other clipper tomorrow. Me lika da spins. Funny, though. I always thought I'd be really good at ducking. Turns out I suck at ducking (so far) and I can hit spinning butterfly and I'm close to that wonderous spinning pdx mirage. . And the inspinning from my osis. . . But that doesn't count.

Well well well. I just came from a dorm room hack session with the two girls that said they'd play footbag and stitch. But they wanted to prove to me that they actually did want to play (I gave them a whole speech about how it's not an easy game to say the least). . They do.

Sarah - Yes. . This girl can bend her ankle like Matt Cross. And I'm guessing at least a bunch of you know of his little ability. Soo. yeah. She did wraps without even trying (both sides) and can sole stall. Still has a hard time setting it up to herself but I mean come on. It'll come.

Lindsay - The bouncy grace we've all come to know and love about female footbaggers, Lindsay already has her own combo: knee bump > opposite flying clipper. Yes, they both have flying clippers. Not controlled but I was still impressed with how well they could understand the timing and prancing style of the circle kicker's pride and joy. She also almost clipper stalled it but she was caught off balance and fell into her computer chair. Leave it to a girl to fall into a chair. . I fell into their closet.

We're going to make a trip out to that Famous Footwear in Greece, NY to get lavers (for $30!!!!!!!!!!) at some point in the next couple of weeks. Luckily, they have relatively descent shoes just to get them kicking and practicing. They'll just be really happy to be introduced to Mr. Rod Laver.

Right now I'm off to Day 2 of No Shred All Drill 2005!

I won't let out how well I'm doing on the training regiment. . But I WILL show you some fun sick 3's I just came up with in class (ugh. . footbag is a blessing and a curse) and I'll include the progress of lindsay and sarah in my blog.

Sick 3:
neo symposium mirage > dimwalk > pdx whirl
backside smear > double overdown > spinning pdx mirage
diving clipper > whirl > spinning clipper

I thought they'd look pretty interesting.

At a small session with steve, lindsay, and sarah:
Steve almost hit whirling rake
Lindsay did a dragonfly kick
Lindsay AND Sarah are both at 5 kicks record and they are both starting to use their insides more than their knees. I've decided to tell them to set a goal each week for a major improvement in consecutive kick records. Probably when they can do 20 or 30 kicks (20 controlled kicks) I'll start them on some freestyle. At least some simple freestyle.

sick 3's are good ideas, I hope you can get one of them on tape or something. my favorite is the one starting with neo mirage.

Thats a good plan Pat. After they start getting like 20 consecs a lot, start getting them to work on all the stalls inside, toe, outside. Keep having them work alternating stalls and kicks, and have them try to beat their record everyday... if not everytime they kick. After they can easily get 100 consecutive kicks.. they dont really need to work on them anymore, by that time their stalls should be coming a long good. Well its almost that time... so ill see you in a couple hours.

that's for not playing the footbag today. But HEY! I'm almost done with my first stitching job! Bought some suede, some real nice filler (I need metal shot or aquarium rocks still) and Sarah bought some "pretty flower" clothe. . . she didn't do so hot on HER footbag. But that's because she wasn't painstakingly stitching (she also tried her hand at a 32 first try. . pff). So after two failures, I'm almost done with a four panel bag that I really hope will be shreddable for at least a week. That'd be killer. Black red and brown. Those are the colors until I can find some nice DARK GREEN material that I can rock out to. I'll post a picture of it if it turns out descent and fully loaded with extra ammo. "if" is the macho word #1 in that sentence, kids. It won't be a Legball 32. Those will come only in facile. This is the Legball X-R 4 because anything sounds cool when you put X-R in the name somewheresabout.

Pat will get his own RFA signature thing of his own soon. Hopefully Aric won't use my picture from the RITFA site. I don't like that. My laces are red. THEY'RE NOT RED ANYMORE! THEY'RE BLACK! customized to perfection. And I'm doing my annoying pointing thing I do. I've been pointing ever since I learned the outside stall (oh the fond memories with the sipa sipa hacks). At least I don't give the "HANG TEN!!" sign like my friend Nick used to do when doing a flying clipper. That was down-right unnecessary and goofy.

Ranting. I'll stop posting again and regain the momentum of NO SHRED ALL DRILL. Mad love, yo. Pat out.

a short update on my drilling and some fun footbag news:

NO SHRED ALL DRILL update:

1) completed flipside clipper record (and it's still rising)
2) completed consecutive clipper record (not rising)
3) my infinities are starting to gain more control so I think I'll get that goal down in the next day or so. Hopefully.
4) flip pixie drills are not going so hot. Anyone have any advice for me? Post 'em if ya got 'em. I NEED the flip pixie.

Today and yesterday sucked for the ol' drills but I think that'd be because I'm getting that crazy sunlight deprivation depression thing. Not to worry, though.

Footbag-related news:

I'm a writer on Nazareth's sorry excuse for a newspaper piece of shite. And guess what my next article will be about (I've decided). . . FOOTBAG!! WOO! It's about time I've set the record straight with these unapproving bastards. The history of this wonderful sport will be put into the written language. . again. . . at Nazareth.

Non-footbag news:

Don't go to Nazareth College of Middle Class Art and Music Students. Don't let the 3:1 girl to guy ratio fool you. THEY'RE ALL NUTS! Our food is worse than any other college I can assure you. And oh yeah. Our tunnel system may seem cool at first but it'll give you sunlight deprivation depression and it'll make your footbag hate your feet.

came back from Kingston - staying with a good friend of mine who goes to Queen's University. And I'd like to share a story with you guys:

My friend, Chris, is slowly turning away from footbag which is starting to piss me off. He knows this. So when I came up, he goes, "Okay Pat? We're going to this kegger but if you want, I'll bring my lavers and you can take a bag. You can do the same. I PROMISE we'll play footbag at some point during your stay. And who knows.. . maybe we can play at the kegger." so I did.
So about two hours into the party, the room is starting to feel really REALLY crowded and I'm getting incredibly bored. So what do I do? I lean over to Chris and take out The Dude. He smiles and nods. But where to do it? The side room has nice lighting but there are about 30 people cramped in there. Ah but footbag has a way with people and I found a hole where not too many people were. After a spinning clipper and a few alternating clippers everyone was like, "Woah. Hacky Sack, maaaaan." (they were drunk out of their minds and feeling pretty good by now).
One by one, these people started to join the circle I started with Chris and in about 3 minutes, we pushed our way into the room and completely took it over, forcing everyone out. And they did. Because it's amazing.

Oh and there was this one guy who goes, "Man I saw this one dude kicking the hack around and he was all about the fucking stalls, man." and chris and I go (at the same time), "Mosher?" and he smiles and nods. "Yeah! That was his name. Yeah I don't know him personally but I know OF him. Yeah he was doin' all this crazy stuff like that too."

So Tom. . your reputation indeed is known throughout the land.

Yeah so that was my story. I also have a picture I took of my holding up my footbag next to a keg while everyone was filling up. It looks cool.

I've decided to update my blog again - not with a story. . but since I'm halfway through my 3-week skooling banazaaa (which just so happens to be like every other time . . . unfortunately) I'll jot down all the things I've accomplished and some things I'm more than likely not going to get to.

- I've completed all of my consecutive clippers and alternating clipper records (and smashed them at that)
- I've hit flipside pixie clipper and flipside smear (barely)
- I can spin pretty well now and can incorporate them into a string at will.
- footed flipside whirl . . I'll get it soon I think

so that's it . .

not too sure if that's a good thing. But I'm at least "stoked" about my ability to clip on both sides really well. That's pretty much what I was going for this whole time.

- I'm starting to bsos symposium tricks so I think my mind is getting used to telling my legs what to do with symposiums. This is all due to my drilling of symp. legover I'm guessing. I could just be getting more comfortable with the bag though.

- oh yeah. I came really close to a flipside paradon a ways back. That was weird. It was almost jabbed by my catching foot. Pretty cool.

I can't remember what else I had wrote down as my goals but I assure you I haven't hit them yet. YET. There's still less than two weeks left.

filled my mini so that now it's semi shreddable.

My love? Footbag be thy name.

Man I really hope the group shred tomorrow will be as good for me as it was today. I hit a few new 3's and 4's not to mention my flipside clipper is really getting the hang of being used.

First time I've actually shredded with my revamped mini too. It is WONDERFUl. Quite possibly the best 32 bag I've owned. I'm going to send away for a footfighter as soon as it's available and then I can have TWO really good bags!

Come to think of it. . . I should steal back my first mr. sandman (Todd) from this kid back at my old high school. Last time I was there he STILL had it. I was very impressed and happy to see Todd again. Still floppy and sandy - just the way I likes them sand bags. It can be my warm-up, lots of osis and stylie bag that I can just screw around with.

Man I'm soo tired but it was such a good session today. <pleased smiley goes here>

- - - don't get me wrong. . obviously I can do more tricks than that. Those are just the new ones that I've hit in the recent past. Alright so this concludes the blogging update. Now on to more pressing matters: Today.

The highlight was definitely the happy smiles on peoples faces when I showed them how I'm coming along with my spins and ducking. Chris Dean was pleased with my flipside clipper. And even though my lovely little bag was declared "rolly" and "unbroken in" (even though chris said, "This bag is going to be sooo nice when it breaks in". . awesome), I still had a great time at the session.

Again I just really wish I had gone to GLASS. I think I would've hit more new stuff with all that positive footbaggin' energy flowing all around. Anyway - back to skooling for me after my right leg calms down and stops twitching from trying grifters and flux

today. And I've decided to go for fairy set after I get down my flipside pixie.

Nazareth had a Siblings' Weekend and they had a carnival/free food thing set up in the usual place where I kick. I decided that it was fine since they were giving out free cotton candy and sno cones. I like them. And I've never playing the footbag with a cotton candy stick in my hand so I realized that woud be another good thing. So I picked a nice open spot amongst the crowd and stripped into The DarkShredder XLv7000 Prototype and began my twirly dance with my cloth bag.

The cotton candy was good. It always astounds me to watch the little fibers appear out of nowhere in that big dome they make it in and I like to watch the lady twist the paper stick in the air and magically make my sugary treat appear in a big luscious clump of pink (or blue).

My little carnival adventure only proves my point. No one at nazareth cares about footbag and they try their best to ignore you. I should just play with a lacross stick or something. . maybe they'll be like, "OH! You're a lacross player! That's sooo coool!" and the like.
I had ONE fan. A little kid that saw me finally hit a spinning paradox mirage and I had backside smear off my foot. He enjoyed it. Now if only I can hit spinning mirage.

guess what I've been up to today. . well let's see.

how about a little something called STEPPING SET!!

and let's just say I've done something today I never thought I'd have done since I first saw someone do it: RIPWALK! BOTH SIDES!

And Blizzard! one side real clean.
And blur again on my strong side
And blurry osis! one side all funny-like

and this one's for steeban: I footed barrage just two minutes ago. I won't be surprised if I do it tomorrow at the session.

*sorry if this post sounds a little "flippant" . . it's just I've wanted to hit ripwalk since I could toe stall it. And the fact that stepping set has come back to me is happy times for me.*

As a side note, I'm also really happy because I got an A on a really REALLY hard essay today and found out that I don't have to retake a quiz I missed until tuesday. It's a good day.

<sigh> Haven't had a good day for me since my solo session where I did the ripwalks. It sucks but "everyone has off days". I just need to chill out and stop complaining. If I get all moody and glum during a session it'll just suck out the energy of the circle and that just makes it awkward. Footbag is too fun to get mad at for long anyway.

Lesson learned.

Next on the agenda when my legs feel like twisting the bag?
1) ripwalk bsos
2) flip blizzard
3) flip blur
4) spinning clipper bsos
5) spyro illusion (came up with that one today)

In general I have to work on my strings now that I can do a lot more things on both sides confidently. My shred sucks at the moment and that needs to be fixed STAT. I still bail on toe stalls way more than I should and it's unfortunate. . .

god I love this smiley. . just look at those eyes! They're like Woah! And the code in the text box shows that the mouth is open when the picture of it clearly has the mouth closed up real tight. Now that's just amazing.

wow.........hey everyone has off days.......especiallyl me. props on everything....it sucks though that I just started reading this blog now.....I've been too lazy.....
