Insanity and you
Ever get the feeling that you are starting to become mentally insane?

Yeah, I like feel that sometimes.
Or how about that feeling like you have a hole in your stomach. It's really hard to explain but it's just this really shitty depressed feeling like nothing ever going to go right in your life.
I really don't know. I need to go to bed.

the majority of people who think the same label themselves sane. they also define the variations from the norm as insane. its the sane people that define what insane even means and no one asks insane people to define their condition, because insane people arent qualified to know ANYTHING about their particular condition. its a paradox for someone to know they are insane...the things they know are the exact problem they have. if they DID know they were insane, couldnt they just straighten themselves out? like, if thoughts they have are illogical, they dont KNOW they are illogical, because then they wouldnt have or agree with those thoughts once having realized them.

ok, i think i can agree with that
but. eating is something that becomes a habit. it even becomes an addiction, so eating less is something that is difficult to do for habitual over-eaters. insanity, on the other hand, is completely different. the parallels you attempt to draw between the two...basically just dont exist.
edit--besides, if this metaphor really did work, then i would argue that these people dont consider themselves fat. just like the insane people, they dont see a problem, so there is nothing to fix. but unlike obesity, with weight increases the knowledge of the problem, with mental illness, the knowledge of the problem decreases with the increasing intensity of the problem

I was once awake for 60 hours and was merely feelingErik Chan wrote:I heard that you are considered clinically insane if you don't sleep for, like, 72 hours staight.
like I didn't need sleep at all anymore. It did feel weird though, mostly
because I was totally pumped and hyperactive. If your brain doesn't
have the time to deal with all the impressions it receives during wake
time, it gets a li'l grumpy.
After 72 hours you should start having hallucinations, which can become
dangerous at a point. Of course, that depends on your physical and
psychic stability.
Dave Clarke, legendary DJ, once said in an interview that he doesn't
do drugs except for sleep deprivation. He has once made a 72 hours
DJ set straight through.
